"After School Fun Special" Tour
Event: ASFS - March
Matches held: Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Segments Created: Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Date Posted: Sunday, March 26, 2023.
Location: The Amplitheater at the Peter Venkman Memorial Arena, NY.
*The show starts inside of the same studio we saw last time. Coach Jean Carter is wearing a shirt that says Happy New Year!"
[Jean:] "Happy New Year! Etiquette experts disagree about whether it's still appropriate to say that in March. But I say follow your heart! I also say thank you for following OG-Joshi to the next stop of the After School Fun Special Tour! We have the final two matches of the first round in the EMERGE tournament and another defense of the OG-Joshi Tag Team Championship by the Hellions. But first - celebrate good times!"
*Balloons with the number "18" on them fall onto the set as the "Celebrate good times" song plays in the background and OG-Joshi ponies up money for royalties.*
[Jean:] "On March 18th, 2005, OG-FPD presented an event called 'Murderers Row. It featured the start of a fledgling Joshi division! In fact, it hit the ground running in its first bout with the OG-FPD Joshi Championship on the line. Holly Walker faced Jo Ryder and her student Diane "Dizzy" Cavuto. The match was incredible and Dizzy emerged as the first OG-FPD Joshi Champion ever. We've certainly come a long way in the time since then, but I will never forget the match, and people, that put OG-Joshi on the match. Dizzy was Champion for a long time until she was defeated by our next guest - the Sensei of the OG-JoDojo: Haley Cannon!"
*Haley walks onto the set in a red warm-up suit.*
[Jean:] "Dizzy was the first OG-Joshi Champion. After you defeated her, you became the first OG-Joshi World Champion since you decided to defend the Title in different countries 'round the world. What did that time and quest mean to you?"
[Haley:] "I know this is cliche but it was a tremendous honor. Dizzy was an incredible wrestler who had the entire fanbase and locker room behind her. Our match was hard fought and she was very gracious. She carried herself like a Champion throughout her entire career. When some time had passed after our match, I asked her what she felt about my World Tour idea. Not only did she support it, she was very enthusiastic about it. That put all doubt behind me that it was the right thing to do. And I will never forget it: defending that Title around the world against the elite talent I got to face was an incredible experience."
[Jean:] "So Robin begged me to ask this, please don't be mad."
*Haley smirks.*
[Haley:] "Yes, there really was someone named Monique LaChouffe that I defeated on the tour."
*Jean is wide-eyed*
[Jean:] "How did you know she was going to ask that?"
[Haley:] "She's been asking that for fifteen years. It's a real person, Robin, not a rare form of bronchitis."
*We hear some familiar laughing off camera.*
[Haley:] "It's refreshing that she still has her sense of humor but chooses to wield it in more uplifting ways."
[Jean:] "That girl's got all the jokes, trust me on that."
[Haley:] "I don't think anyone could not trust you, Jean."
*Jean blushes and smiles*
[Jean:] "Thank you!"
[Haley:] "So, I take it you'd like to discuss the present as well as the past."
[Jean:] "And the future which is the EMERGE roster! How is training going?"
[Haley:] "It's been about six months since the first ASFS event. Flame Valentine and Yasuna Shimizu took their losses in stride and have been making great progress. Yasuna, particularly, really leaned into correcting some of the mistakes she made against Cassandra Carter. Her spirit is impressive. Aria Holt has been training very hard to prepare herself for who she will face in the next round. And Cassandra has been bragging just as much as she's been preparing. But truthfully, her potential really is strikingly impressive."
[Jean:] "And tonight we'll get to see what four other emerging wrestlers can do."
[Haley:] "The first match will feature Marcelline Louvel facing River Reade. Both of these woman are incredibly advanced for the short amount of time they have been wrestling. Granted, River has had more ring time than many of the other girls prior to joining this program. She's incredibly polished for a near rookie and the most well-rounded too in terms of skills and styles. My only real concern about her is how unpredictable she is."
[Jean:] "That can be a good thing though, right?"
[Haley:] "Definitely, since her opponents can't figure out what she'll do. But sometimes I think she takes that 'High Roller' mentality a little too seriously in relying on instinct and chance in throwing caution to the wind at any given moment. However, even if she eschews putting together a consistent strategy throughout the match, she has shown a great aptitude and willingness to figure out what what her opponent's next moves will be."
[Jean:] "She's great at 'Reade'ing' her opponents."
[Haley:] "I can't see the quotes when you say them, dear."
[Jean:] "Gadzooks! Good point! But you sensed them, and that's what's important."
*Jean nods in a knowing manner.*
[Haley:] "So let's talk about Marcelline now. The girl is a wrestling prodigy. I'm not embarrassed to admit that she scored some takedowns on me. I've rarely seen someone who is more locked in to what she is doing while also being naturally gifted at it. I look at Sebastian Blake on the Basic Training roster of UBL and I see the latter but not always the former. The man is also an incredibly talented wrestler but he gets distracted easily."
[Jean:] "Oooh, I don't know how Barton will feel about that."
*Haley gently laughs*
[Haley:] "Appreciative. As the mentors in charge of the training programs of our respective promotions, Barton and I talk quite frequently and compare notes. Out of respect, total candor is expected at all times. That being said, despite my critique of Mr. Blake - he possesses a quality that I want Marcelline to work on more: social comfort level. She needs to be more relaxed when being watched. I don't believe the competition itself trips Marcelline up but, rather, the public attention. I have seen her wrestle others in the absence of onlookers and not skip a beat. But the more people around, and the more they are paying attention to her, she starts getting into her head in a way that is not helpful. She becomes self-conscious and her competitive instincts get short-circuited as a result. She is also the quietest of the group when it comes to practicing her speeches."
*Jean suddenly stands up perfectly straight and salutes Haley.*
[Jean:] "O' Captain, my Captain!"
[Haley:] "I meant 'promos' but thank you for that rousing display. I think maybe Marcelline could benefit from being around you more often."
[Jean:] "Wow, thanks for the compliment!"
[Haley:] "I'd mention Robin too given her extreme social comfort level but I'm not quite sure all the colorful words in her vocabulary would be safe for Marcelline...or other members of polite society."
[Jean:] "I virtually guarantee they would not. Yesterday, Robin used the word 'cabinet' in a way I had not heard before and am anxious to never hear again. But wow, Sensei, that was a great analysis of River and Marcelline. Do you have a guess as to which one will win?"
[Haley:] "Fortunately, none whatsoever so I am quite looking forward to finding out."
[Jean:] "So let's get to get to the match!"
*The camera feed switches to the inside of the Amplitheater where Marcelline and River are completing their pre-match routine. River appears to throw some dice on the ground while Marcelline takes small, furtive looks at the audience. Azumi Oonishi signals for the bell and this match has begun!*
Match 1: Marcelline Louvel vs. River Reade
River soaks up the energy of the crowd while Marcelline seems extra focused on River. Both women shake hands to start the match which Marcelline visibly appreciates. The two then put on a wondrous display of mat wrestling for the first few minutes complete with attempted pin falls, counters, and submissions. Marcelline seems to have the advantage in securing pins and transitions but River manages to catch her in a few submissions. With neither one having a clear advantage or making any significant headway, they both get up on their own accord. The fans applaud them for this competitive display but both women look a bit impatient given that their hard work has yet to secure them an advantage.
Marcelline decides to be the aggressor next: pursuing River with a firewoman's takedown. From this point, Marcelline takes control with a punishing array of suplexes. River is caught off guard at just how efficient Marcelline's attack is. This culminates in a Northern Lights Suplex pin:
The roar of the crowd actually causes Marcelline's bridge to weaken a bit and River fights out. It takes a few seconds for Marcelline's concentration to fully restore and River takes advantage of the momentary lapse. She hits Marcelline with an array of chops and flying attacks to keep her opponent off balance. After a few minutes of taking control, she punctuates her advantage with a huge Brainbuster DDT!
River covered but could not get the 3. This certainly put a look of surprise but also appreciation on her face. She seemed to be enjoying the encounter. She switched to an aerial offense and scored a near fall off of a rebound moonsault. When she tried the same maneuver again though, Marcelline was ready. She popped up, and grabbed River in the air for a german suplex!! This got the momentum back on her side and she seemed even more motivated than before, if not perhaps also a little frustrated at herself. She began digging deeper into her suplex library: pulling out capture suplexes, wrist-clutch suplexes, and even a particularly punishing looking exploder suplex! There were suplexes as far as the eye could see!
It really looked like Marcelline would claim victory at that point. But whether the crowd tripped up her concentration again, or if she was still feeling the effects of River's offense earlier, Marcelline was a little slower to pin. This may have been the reason that River kicked out. The fans roared in approval of River's resiliency and the fact that this match was going to continue.
They began cheering both women and this made Marcelline nervous. Earlier, she effortless flowed from move to move with a clear gameplan in sight. But now she was having trouble figuring out what she was going to do in following up that close pin from the exploder. She took just a little too long, and River played just the right amount of possum. As Marcelline tried to pick River up, River countered with a lightning quick swinging fisherwoman neckbreaker. This sent Marcelline down and temporarily incapacitated her. It also gave River enough time to execute the move of the night:
River won the match with that beautiful Stardust Press.
Marcelline Louvel (X) [Stardust Press - 13:44] (O) River Reade
After a few minutes, River helped Marcelline up, shook her hand, and walked her backstage. She impressively straddled the difficult line of graciously accepting applause from the fans while not inviting it in a way that would further overwhelm her opponent.
*And we're back to the studio where Jean is still joined by Haley.*
[Jean:] "You were right - they are talented beyond their years! I really enjoyed that encounter. And thanks for staying to take us to our next match."
[Haley:] "I'll have a lot to talk to them both about but primarily about handling the praise they are earning. For the next match, Gan Saelim will be facing Hanako."
[Jean:] "That sounds like a very interesting match-up just based on size alone."
[Haley:] "Gan is in no way undersized but she will look that way next to the physically imposing Hanako. Flame Valentine has been the only one on our roster so far that is able to match strength with Hanako. I would still give Hanako the edge in raw power but Flame's height allows her added leverage to balance it out. In Gan's case, she may be the second smallest on the roster. However, she has a very high ratio of lean muscle to body fat. I contend she has the healthiest fitness routine I have seen in a while which has led to superior endurance over the others. She is deceivingly strong for her frame but that is a result of her exercising in non-traditional ways."
[Jean:] "Like at a water park?"
[Haley:] "Not specifically, but that would certainly be non-traditional."
[Jean:] "Luke once did sit-ups on a log flume."
[Haley:] "And you both had to leave early because he did that after eating lunch?"
[Jean:] "Worse, breakfast."
[Haley:] "You have a quaint way of dissuading further inquiry on a topic while still presenting so many more questions."
[Jean:] "Journalism instincts intact, thank you! And I have some more questions about the match."
[Haley:] "Ok, I like this direction more than where the other story was going."
[Jean:] "Hanako seems rather angry. Do you think that is something that will improve if she starts winning or is that more of an internal thing that demands another type of resolution?"
[Haley:] "That was a good question, Jean. I don't quite know the answer. If I had to make a wager, in the spirit of River Reade, I would guess the latter. I think Hanako is one of the most physically aggressive and overwhelming wrestlers we have ever seen in OG-Joshi. In time, she may reach the dominance level of a Juli Krieger or Polly Dod. However, I think her anger could be her ceiling in the same way that it was for Juli. On the other hand, Polly actually knew how to tap into her emotions en route to multiple Championships, despite the Dod gene pool being chlorinated with anger."
[Jean:] "Does Gan also have the temperament to be a Champion down the line?"
[Haley:] "Indisputably, yes. I would say her biggest challenge, from a psychological standpoint, is how she forms connections. She has been quiet like Marcelline but not for the same reasons. I do not sense any insecurity in Gan but, rather, a conscious choice not to interact more than she needs to. We know that sometimes people need to form alliances in pro wrestling. I am concerned that Gan is a little too comfortable doing things on her own to realize the importance of allying with others when necessary. Will that be an issue in every match? Certainly not. But I already see some of the other wrestlers forming relationships, as is happening in Basic Training, and I am concerned Gan is eschewing them."
[Jean:] "Do you think it has to do with her other sensei?"
[Haley:] "It is true that Sensei Glenn Dyon recently had to take a leave of absence from participating in the Basic Training program in order to return to his Kyo Kugen karate dojo in California. Gan was his top student there and they both came to New York to start EMERGE and Basic Training programs at the same time. I noticed Gan reaching out to her peers even less once Glenn left. She seemed a little withdrawn being out here on her own with her sensei on the other coast."
[Jean:] "It kind of reminds me a little of someone else. I mean, if you see where I'm going with this and are okay talking about her."
[Haley:] "I think I do, and you can proceed."
[Jean:] "Are you okay with her again?"
[Haley:] "I'm ok with who she is now. The last time we directly crossed paths in 2015, Miss Gordon came to my aid against Cynthia San Martino. I consider the unpleasantness that transpired between us to be in the past as it doesn't reflect her current self, similar to how I feel about Miss Walker."
[Jean:] "So, you see the comparison of Gan and Glenn to Alicia and Jang Bae?"
[Haley:] "Yes, this is the second time that I am aware of where a mentor and a student both arrived into the Orochi-O's family of promotions around the same time. In this case, Gan and Glenn became pro wrestling students at the same exact time whereas Alicia's career proceeded Jang Bae's by at least five years. However, since Glenn went back to his dojo, Gan now has more pro wrestling experience than him much as Alicia did with Jang. The difference is that Alicia already had a strong support system in the LAWL locker room and achieved success in professional wrestling which did not involve Jang. But Gan knew no one else in OG-Joshi when she and Glenn came to our promotions. I think the departure of Glenn has caused Gan to isolate herself further rather than try to connect with her peers."
[Jean:] "In the end we're just people, Haley. People that need people. But we don't always realize that right away. I have a poem on the matter-"
[Haley:] "Maybe it would be best to get to the match."
[Jean:] "To the match we now go, Gan Saelim vs. Hanako."
[Haley:] "Seamless response, Jean."
*We return to the Amplitheater where Gan Saelim is performing a meditation exercise similar to kata that includes multiple forms. Hanako is doing the polar opposite and fiercely bashing the top turnbuckle in her corner with hammer fists fueled by rage. Before the turnbuckle breaks, Azumi wisely starts the match!*
Match 2: Gan Saelim vs. Hanako
Hanako runs full speed over to Gan, who has chosen to not end her kata exercise yet. Instead, she incorporates it into her defense and side-steps Hanako who trips over her own momentum. This puts Hanako in a fouler mood than she arrived with and she charges at Gan yet again! Gan sees it coming and flips over Hanako, landing with a sweep kick to trip Hanako up from behind. Up to this point, all of Gan's motions have been seamlessly flowing into each other and she continues moving to keep her rhythm.
Hanako is way angrier thirty seconds into this exhibition match than reasonable and emotionally healthy people generally tend to be. She yells at Azumi to check Gan's footwear, alleging that the sweep kick couldn't have knocked her down unless there was an interstellar object in it. Azumi refuses to do so, saying that she already checked both wrestlers when they came in. She admonished Hanako for not taking physics into effect when considering the previous encounter. Damn Azumi - your science is ice cold in there!!
However, the momentary distraction led to Gan halting her motion as we waited for resolution. Hanako grins and takes advantage of the no-longer moving target by bum rushing her and knocking her down with a shoulder block. This takes the wind out of Gan. Now it's Hanako with the momentum and she takes advantage of it to start satisfying her anger. While Gan is still reeling, Hanako throws her across the ring with a massive push and then spears her practically in half!!
This gets a 2 count which is surprising so early on and yet equally surprising that Gan had the fortitude to kick out. However, the damage is done and Hanako has firmly claimed the imitative. She builds on this with a series of punishing body slams that Gan is only able to withstand due to her knowledge of how to properly fall. There is no real skill in getting your body bent in half though as a considerably larger person sits on it, so Hanako's camel clutch is a difficult nut for Gan to crack. Gan can't power her way out and her attempted punches to Hanako's knees do not have any real power from that position.
It looks like Gan may be trapped but she pulls off a shocking escape. First, she uses her flexibility to free her arms from Hanako's grip. Then, Gan pulls her arms together and swings them down to build momentum in curling the front of her body inward and down to the ground. Hanako's weight allows her to stay put but immediate escape was not Gan's objective. Rather, the modified angle Gan's body now finds itself in allows her to use her preternatural flexibility to kick Hanako in the back of the head with a mule kick! This causes a surprised Hanako to careen forward and the grip is broken!
Gan is still worn down but she senses the opportunity upon her escape. Hanako is dazed from the kick and the confusion of what occurred. How did a mule kick out of a camel's clutch, she wonders? Madness! Gan begins moving around, getting her balance and fluidity of motion back. She manages to catch Hanako with a big elbow to the chest, backing Hanako up a surprising amount but not knocking her down. However, Gan is ready for Hanako's advance and practically launches Hanako in the air with a vertical kick!
The cover only gets a two count but the fans erupted watching Hanako get taken down with such explosive speed and power. Gan claims the advantage and builds on it by peppering Hanako with kicks and elbows to her entire body, practically tenderizing her. Gan is moving so quickly that Hanako has no chance of countering her and the assault is taking its toll. Seeing Hanako worn down and visibly frustrated, Gan takes things to the next level. She launches a lightning quick combination of elbows and palm strikes, sending Hanako careening backward. This sets Gan up for one of her signature moves - a barrage of midair kicks punctuated by a 360 roundhouse!
The crowd is amazed at this display of athleticism! It looks like Gan will claim the victory but the pin fall is one-tenth of a second short. Worse yet, right at the end of Gan's pinning attempt, Hanako manages to place her giant hand around Gan's exposed throat. clearly realized the danger that she has found herself in with the near fall, Hanako then puts everything she has left into one final attempt to end the match. With the one hand already secured, she uses the other hand to rake Gan's eyes. This buys Hanako enough time to get to her feet, pulling Gan with her.
The display of strength is even more impressive when you consider how close Hanako just came to losing. It is that recognition that seems to be fueling Hanako's adrenaline and strength. She tosses Gan into the corner and then starts to unload with punches to the stomach. Hanako backs up and charges into the corner with a huge splash, flattening Gan against the turnbuckles. After Gan staggers forward to the ground, Hanako shouts bloody murder then picks her by the back of the throat. She scores with a devastating face planting chokeslam!
Azumi counts to three after the cover and Hanako advances to the second round. After a minute, Hanako looks over the downed Gan and seems to be thinking about continuing the attack. However, Azumi gets in her way and orders her backstage to the threat of disqualifying her. Hanako growls but stalks backstage looking even angrier after the victory than before it. Azumi helps Gan to her feet and the fans show their appreciation of her abilities. She is about to walk away when Azumi encourages Gan to respond to the fans. She manages a quick bow then leaves.
Gan Saelim (X) [Reverse Chokeslam - 14:05] (O) Hanako
*After the match, we return to the studio.*
[Jean:] "Hooray! We now have all of our participants decided for the second round of the tournament! In July, River Reade will face Cassandra Carter and Aria Holt will face Hanako. We'll also have a match featuring the other talented EMERGE members to keep them motivated! I want to thank Sensei Haley Cannon for providing such expert analysis of the matches and progress of our EMERGE trainees!
We just have one match left tonight and it's for the OG-Joshi Tag Team Championships. The Hellions, Hae-Won and Sako Dasumi, defend their Titles and year-long reign against Alice Knellwolf and Lucille Aguayo.
The Hellions have held onto these Championships since they defeated the Reed Sisters at "Date with Destiny" on December 13, 2014. That reign has lasted over eight years and across three promotions. They have defended them in L.A.W.L, and in both the previous and current version of OG-Joshi. They have done for the legacy of Matsuki Holdings tag team wrestling what Sun & Moon did all those years ago. The chemistry that Hae-Won and Sako have is as natural as any two tag team partners I have seen. And they just continue getting even better as teammates and wrestlers and friends!
They face two women who have recently come to OG-Joshi from the storied "Tiger Stripe Promotions." Alice Knellwolf is actually the former Blood Blossom World Champion: a title which sounds both beautiful like a spring flower and deadly like an allergy to bee stings. Alice and Lucille have tagged for a long time in TSP and would love to make a huge impact here by winning the Championships in their debut match.
Let's get to the ring to see which team walks out with the gold!
*We return to the Amplitheater to find both teams staring each one down. The Hellions look ready for a fight and their new opponents match that intensity. Hae-won turns to Sako and smiles, punching her fists together in anticipation of this match.*
OG-Joshi Tag Championship
Match 3: Alice Knellwolf/Lucille Aguayo vs. Hae-Won/Sako Dasumi (c)
There were two notable stories in this very hard-hitting match that lasted nearly a half hour. One story can be witnessed clearly by the end of the match as Hae-Won's arm was visibly injured. The other was more subtle but reflected a surprising aggressiveness of the challengers. Alice and Lucille refused to be seen as rookies and acted like "they have been here before." They marched in with the confidence of champions and matches the Hellions usual aggressiveness and skill.
Alice Knellwolf isn't as physically destructive as her teammate but her experience, speed, and technique allowed her team to control the tempo for much of the match. About halfway through the match, fans were surprised to see Sako Dasumi hit with two successive impact moves without an immediate answer. Alice's shining wizard is a thing of beauty and her running hip had just the right amount of snap.
Lucille Knellwolf was only known by a few OG-Joshi fans before this event started but left as one of the most popular wrestlers of the night. Her mixture of powerful strikes and punishing submissions kept both Hellions guessing what she would attack them with next. What was most notable though was the way she targeted Hae-Won: herself an expert in submissions. With ring spacing assistance from Alice, Lucille weakened Hae-Won's arm and cut her off from Sako for much fo the match. This punctuated into Lucille's deadly jujigatame finisher on an already injured arm.
Hae-Won displayed the physical resilience and emotional fortitude of a Champion in surviving this move without tapping out. It gave Sako just enough time to break up the hold to come to the rescue of Hae-Won and their Title reign. However, the damage was clearly done here, as displayed by Hae-Won's limp arm and its psychological effect. Even when Hae-Won was able to attack, she clearly focused on offense using the lower half of her body for the rest of the match. Although the momentum changed, favoring the Hellions, the effectiveness of Hae-Won's offense was reduced for the rest of the match. Even during one of their double-team signature moves, "From Hell and Back", Hae-won couldn't put her all into her usual role.
This got a nearfall but the Hellions kept the heat on. Choosing not to tag out, Hae-Won kept the offense going by continuing to focus on what she could still do. To her credit, it's unlikely that Alice would say Hae-Won's calf branding could have hurt even more than it already did.
However, maybe if Hae-won could have had full functionality in her arm, she could have delivered the move with a more focused impact leading to a pin. Alice fought out of the pin and Hae-won was unable to capitalize further due to the impact the move had on her arm. As she was in the corner, Sako tagged herself in. Hae-won was momentarily angry at this since she wanted to stay nd fight. But the maturity has she developed quickly showed as she nodded to herself and focused on cheering on her partner.
And Sako needed this energy since she was functionally in a 1 on 2 situation for the next few minutes. In the time it took Sako to get herself in the match, Alice had tagged in Lucille who was hungry to damage Sako as she did Hae-Won. While she wasn't able to overpower Sako to grab onto her limbs, she did keep her off balance with kicks. She also resumed the prior strategy of isolating Sako from her corner. Alice was able to heal to assist Lucille with a debilitating double platon piledriver.
Lucille covered for the attempted pin. As Alice ran to the other side of the ring to cut Hae-won off from saving her partner, it looked like we would have new Champions. But as shocked as the fans were by some of the kick-outs experienced earlier tonight, this one was the most astounding. During the reign of the Hellions, we have watched Sako turn into a dominating offensive force. Tonight we watched her dig even deeper to display the type of defensive fighting spirit that saved the Titles and elevated her career.
It wasn't just Sako breaking new ground though. Hae-Won seemed inspired by what her partner did and also rose to the occasion. Fighting through the pain and uselessness of her arm, she managed to fight off Alice's attempt to contain her. After a headbutt to create distance, Hae-Won clocked Alice in the face with a flying knee! This sent Alice tumbling out of the ring and distracted Lucille for just enough time for Sako to begin getting up. Lucille charged Hae-Won who immediately countered with a low roundhouse sweep, knocking her down. Sako got up, fist bumped Hae-Won, and then sent Lucille to the ropes...
The fans erupted for this elevated version of Sako's traditional exploder suplex! Alice was held at bay from re-entering the ring by by Hae-Won, and Sako covered Lucille to retain their Titles.
Alice Knellwolf/Lucille Aguayo (X) [Exploder - 29:50] (O) Hae-Won/Sako Dasumi
After the match was over, Alice and Lucille marched to the back to the applause of the audience who chanted: "You be-long here!" The Hellions celebrated but seemed concerned about how close they came to losing the titles and the worrying state of Hae-Won's visibly injured arm.
*We go back to the studio where Jean is smiling.*
[Jean:] "Wow, what a main event! Another strong defense by the Hellions! I hope that Hae-Won's arm is going to be okay. It looks like she will need to heal. I'm willing to give them a few months before their next Title defense out of respect for their victory here and impressive reign.
I think Alice and Lucille proved they have what it takes to compete on the highest level here.
This was a loss but a great debut match for them and the fans really thought they were going to pull this off. I hope we see these teams face off again in the future. Actually, I don't have to just hope they do - I can make it happen! Hooray for Coachness!
On that note, thank you for watching, everyone! The next OG-Joshi show will be Spring Fling in late April and that event looks more exciting by the day!! Please look forward to it!"
