OOC: Might be good to know what Jo's talking about... McPro's latest show, here:
www.pw-wild.com/cgi-bin/wild/YaBB.cgi?board=un;action=display;num=1118175907
We begin in a dimly lit room. The light shines on Jo Ryder, dressed almost casually: slacks, a nice blouse, and her hair is pulled back... the glasses on face reflect the light a little, so she removes them and places one ear piece gently on her lips. A proud smirk crosses her face, and she begins talking slowly, deliberately.
[Jo Ryder:] I've taken stock of my career... and I feel it has come to a point where I can step away from being "in ring" as it were; I want to step away from pro wrestling and focus upon MANAGING the top talent in the world:
Men, such as Eddie Swan, the PW-Wild Grandmaster's Champion and now half of the new Tag Team Champions! Eddie Swan teamed with Twinky McLanahan and the two men were equally pitted against OrochiGeese and Ti'en Yangisawa, and after an epic battle worthy of "best of" compilation tapes, Eddie Swan pinned Ti'en Yangisawa to grasp hold of victory and the metaphorical brass ring!
I manage men like FPN's Fishboy, the Undisputed Champion - who seems to be on a collision course with M-DWF World Champion Ice. When these two men face off, the direction of FPN may be irreversably altered FOREVER! And ever! ...and maybe some time after that, too!
Then there are men like Frog Jones, like Phil Buster - men who are poised at any time to become the next break out stars of Team Ryder, men who determine THEMSELVES when and where their ascent to stardom shall come.
Last, but not least... the OG-FPD Joshi Champion, Dizzy! This clever, creative woman has all the makings of the GREATEST women's champion in history!
And that is what inspired my decision. Dizzy is the greatest women's wrester in action today, even better than I am. And my remaining an active competitor only hurts Dizzy; I'm unfairly taking her spotlight. The purpose of the "Old Guard" is to create the stars of the New Generation, to pass the fiery brilliance of the torch to the next superstar of professional wrestling; and I CHOOSE to pass this honor onto Dizzy!
She chuckles a little, looking down, and then back up at the camera.
But, I have a few... commitments, shall we say?
In PW-Wild, I've yet to wrestle Polly Dod, the current Joshi Champion in any form. Win or lose, I request a match with her. I cannot step away from the spotlight until I test myself against the best PW-Wild has to offer. Win, lose, what does it matter? I shall decide what I will do when it happens.
In OG-FPD's Joshi division, I have unfinished business with Holly. Unless I settle matters with her, I will not be able to rest. At every turn, there she will be, like an unwanted house guest, or a venereal disease, accusing me of cowardice. Of running away from her challenge. If there is anything I can not - will not - do, it is to allow her to feel validated in her taunts. I will defeat Holly in OG-FPD, and I will do so whether she is an honored champion or whether she is merely a bested contender.
The coolly confidant smirk returns to her face.
...but at least you'll always have the Generallissimo's gym shorts.
Finally, in NDP, I want to close out my wrestling career with Kaori Night. She and I have been "at odds" for a while, and... there is nothing more painful to me than that. I have very few associates, and even less "friends." I took no pleasure in watching Holly pull her underwear oveer Kaori's face whilst she then performed a piledriver.
I did not, because, I refuse to enjoy the suffering of my friends. This is a choice. I can look at the things Kaori has said about myself, and her actions and assume that she is spiteful towards me, but this too is a choice: She chose her path of action, aided by my needling. My prodding. My instigating. Kaori's actions are her RE-actions to MY actions.
...although, I was rather amused by the situation of it all; and do wonder if Kaori enjoyed it there. But, that's a rather juvenile response, and I apologize for it.
Her smirk fades, and she sighs, growing serious.
I foresee my stepping away to fully take effect in the fall of this year. I shall finish my contracted dates with Holly in OG-FPD, and have prepared a match contract that has been sent to the Orochi-O's office as we speak. Should she accept, this match would take place at the next OG-FPD Pay Per View, although, the "should she accept" part is a foregone conclusion. She will accept my challenge, lest she herself be declared a coward. A vagrant. A whore. All that, and more, all that she has accused me of, everything she has said will be repaid upon her.
...I will hold her accountable for her words and actions.
FPN's Kitsune Kotta is of no concern to me. She is merely a child.
And, in NDP, I would like to do something that I... seem to have never done before. The stalwart of the C-CWA's Women's Division, Akira Blaze is the current NDP Light-Heavyweight Champion. I feel this is because we have had few male Light Heavyweights in NDP, but at the same time, she has WILLINGLY showed herself to be a champion of worth, of merit.
Akira Blaze, this is my roundabout way of saying... I want to wrestle you. One on one. No titles on the line; just the greatest women's wrestler of the C-CWA against the greatest women's wrestler of the M-DWF. Two women who will meet in a wrestling ring for no other prize than honor. Glory. Pride. To be able to say that one of us truly is the best; and, in connection, that our respective company was the best. I would not make such a connection. We are different now. Better.
One match, Akira Blaze, non-title. I know my limitations, I cannot take your title and then defend it with the same fervor you do. Against the same people you will. I ask for something only you can grant, Akira, please, PLEASE allow me the honor of wrestling you.
Thank you all for your time, and God bless.
The light on her dims, and the scene ends.
