*It's a few days after "Back to Equine-Nox School for Horses" and we see Megan Williams standing in front of an OG-Joshi banner. She's wearing a white shirt with the sleeves and stomach area cut off so that we can see her thick biceps and toned abs. The word "M'eh'g" is crossed out with a bemused look on her face.*
[Megan:] "At first I thought I got off easy. When I walked through that curtain, I expected a stoning from those usually rabid fans but all I got was apathy. Maybe they forgave me? Maybe they didn't even remember me? I shrugged it off and focused on the match. But later that night it came back up like one of the arena hot dogs. As much as I tried to bask in my victory over Rose, I just kept coming back to the indifference I was met with. And it took me some time to realize why. In the middle of the night, I woke up from a dream and had a revelation: I wasn't hated, I wasn't feared, I wasn't seen."
*Megan looks frustrated but soldiers on.*
[Megan:] "Ruby Moreno is no longer part of Destiny. However, she is still a 'Guiding Light' to everyone in her life. I know that's a loaded term around here, but relax - I don't see it as some esoteric prophetic role. No, it's even more than that. It's her very personality. Look what she's doing in UBL right now. She's leading the way to a better future. You don't need some ancient scroll or hysterical self-flagellating monks as back-up singers to see what Ruby excels at.
It's why I joined her fifteen years ago, regardless of her role in Destiny.
There were hundreds of people in Destiny and, therefore, hundreds of different reasons for joining. My reason was simple. Once I met her in McPro, Ruby Moreno became my role model, my hero. She taught me more about professional wrestling, business, and leadership than anyone I have ever known. So I will always be grateful to her light."
*Megan takes a second, looks down, and takes a deep breath.*
[Megan:] "But the brightest lights cast the darkest shadows: to the point that even those in the shadows can't see it. And sometimes when we do get a glimpse, we don't want to admit to ourselves what is really happening. I guess it's like Plato's Allegory of the Cave, which Ruby demanded that I read within two weeks of starting an internship with her. The fact is that I am trapped in Ruby's shadow, and in the shadow of my own loyalty to her. Rose and I had an excellent match, but all people saw was that Ruby's student beat Ruby's sister. That wasn't fair to either of us and I won't tolerate it again.
It's time to cast my own light. Not as Canada Meg, not as Ruby's assistant, but as Megan Williams. This is a whole new era in OG-Joshi and people are going to have very strong opinions about where I fit into it."
*Megan winks, flexes her muscles, and the promo fades.*
