"Cat got your tongue?"

[OrochiGeese]

*We're in Jean's office in the OG-Joshi wing of the Peter Venkman Memorial Arena. She's sitting in front of her computer playing a demo of a video game that she is clicking on with a maniacally intense happy expression. Luke Kisiera is standing next to her with one hand on her back. The two look like a 1980's ad for personal computers.*

[Jean:] "OMIGAWSH this is amazing!"

[Luke:] "I had a feeling you'd like it."

[Jean:] "I just click on the cats to pet them and then I take pictures?"

[Luke:] "Exactly."

[Jean:] "And I post them online?"

[Luke:] "In the game's online."

[Jean:] "Whazzamean?"

[Luke:] "It's not like a real online account."

[Jean:] "What if I take the pics and post them on my real online account?"

[Luke:] "Then you'd have less space for the other cats you post."

*Jean puts her right hand under her chin and nods.*

[Jean:] "With great power comes great responsibility."

*Luke starts to laugh but sees Jean is serious. He kisses her on the cheek. A few seconds later, there is a knock on the door. Jean accidentally makes a cat noise in place of a greeting.*

[Jean:] "Uh, I mean come on in!"

*They are joined by a short girl in her twenties. She has her long brown hair in a bun and is wearing a business suit.  She takes a few seconds to get composed and introduce herself.*

[Girl:] "Um, hello. My name is Tomoe Yo-"

[Jean:] "Drake's niece! Come on in!"

*Jean checks her watch and gasps.*

[Jean:] "I'm sooo sorry! I was supposed to start your interview 15 minutes ago. I got a little side tracked..."

*An embarrassed Jean slowly pushes her keyboard away but clicks the mouse one last time causing a "meow" sound. Tomoe also looks embarrassed as if she wasn't supposed to hear that. (She wasn't). Jean turns to Luke with her most professional expression and shakes his hand with the vigor of a titan of business.*

[Jean:] "Mr. Kisiera, much obliged for your time. This meeting has been most informative and profitable."

*Luke smiles and leaves the room, allowing Jean to give her full attention to Tomoe.*

[Tomoe:] "Thank you for putting this time aside to talk to me."

*A very warm smile appears on Jean's face as she gestures Tomoe to sit down.*

[Jean:] "I owe that and more to your family, Tomoe. When I first met him, your uncle was not exactly the most patient man. *nervously laughs* And yet despite my early naivety and tomfoolery, he mentored me, protected me, and helped inspire my love of OG-Joshi and UBL. So when he told me that his favorite niece-"

*Tomoe looks down and her voice drops to a whisper.*

[Tomoe:] "Only niece."

[Jean:] "So when he told me that his humble niece was looking for work, I jumped at the chance to repay a great debt to your family. I promise, we're going to find a position in OG-Joshi that you feel comfortable with."

*Tomoe bows but looks a little impatient.  She takes a deep breath and nervously smiles.*

[Tomoe:] "I appreciate your great kindness but I was hoping... that it isn't comfortable."

[Jean:] "So, like a standing desk?"

[Tomoe:] "No, I mean..."

*Tomoe looks down again and steels herself. When she looks up, you can see passion in her eyes.*

[Tomoe:] "The reason I wanted to work in OG-Joshi is to learn to be like you."

*Jean's eyes go wide.*

[Jean:] "Gadzooks, little ole me!?"

[Tomoe:] "You started small like me, but kept getting pushed out of your comfort zone. And each time you rose to the occasion and became the leader you are now. There's only one Jean Carter, and I can't follow the exact path you took. But what I want is to discover who I am by being tested like you were. Help me learn new things about myself by putting me in situations I'm not comfortable with.  If I become the best version of myself, then I can help OG-Joshi."

*Jean leans back in her chair and nods to herself.*

[Jean:] "You really are a Yoshida, no doubt about that. Well, Tomoe, I love what I'm hearing from you. Of course, we can't dump you in the deep end without confirming you can even kitten paddle though.  Being too eager can stunt your growth.  It's not like I went from a secretary to a wrestler or champion cup stacker or anything like that. So how about you shadow me for a few weeks so I can get an idea of what your strengths are. Then we'll figure out how to bring out the most you."

*Tomoe clutches her chest and smiles deeply.*

[Tomoe:] "Miss Carter, thank you so much! You don't know how much this means to me!"

*Jean smiles a knowing smile.*

[Jean:] "You've got a lot to learn then."

*Tomoe bows again as Jean smiles. The scene fades.*
