Re LAWLiday, Ruby Moreno
I have thought a lot about having a lot to say about a lot of subjects to a lot of people but right now I have to focus on one person.
Hopefully by now everyone has had the overall pleasure of watching LAWLiday 2011. It's not really my place to comment publicly on the events of another promotion but there was one thing which was pretty clearly related to OG-Joshi, and also kinda surprising. That being our World Champion, Ruby Moreno, offering to defend our Title against anyone who came to the stage on time.
I don't mind her taking the initiative to be a fighting champion and I don't have a problem with her defending our World Title against wrestlers in other promotions. Of course, had I known she was going to do this, perhaps we could have arranged something on a grander scale and against a more suitable opponent. But I'm totally okay with what she did, I just don't understand why she did it.
Ruby, your actions just don't make sense to me anymore. Why blackmail all of us by threatening to leave OG-Joshi with our Title and then bury it through inactivity? Why go through all this trouble and needless drama if you clearly want to defend the Title anyway? And everyone knows you do. I saw the pride in your eyes when you first won that Title. It wasn't just from tricking us or rubbing it in Holly and Geese's face. it was from beating Visper and becoming Champion of this great promotion. One I know, deep down, you respect.
So if you would just move beyond this selfish and imagined feud with your sister, I would be happy to treat you with the respect your talent deserves. You're our Champion now. And I know you'd defend that Title against anyone. If at LAWLiday someone with more...'experience' had challenged you, then you'd have risen to the occasion and accepted that match too. And yeah, you probably would have won. You have all the poise and abilities of a Champion, why can't you show the integrity of one and stop attempting a power play to get Rose fired?
I'm not saying this to anger you, Ruby. I want you to stay and defend the Title the right way. That means how you carry yourself out of the ring as well as inside of it. You just defeated Kaori Night in an incredible match on O's TV which proved beyond a shadow of a doubt your tremendous standing in the wrestling world. Only world class wrestlers can even keep up with Kaori, let alone beat her.
But it takes even more then that ability to be recognized as a true OG-Joshi Champion. Dizzy, Haley, and Visper understood that. Yet you share with Holly, of all people, a total refusal to take on the responsibilities of being Champion despite hoarding all of the accolades.
My hope is that after your upcoming Title match with Narai Kaeo at this month's Voltage, win or lose, you will have a higher appreciation for what that Championship truly means. I may not approve of the behavior of Narai and Miss Matsuki but there is no question that the World Title is the main reason they are both here and work as hard as they do. I'd like to see you hold that same view in order for your self-proclaimed 'reign of destiny' to really mean something for everyone here, rather then just you and your well funded security team.
Are you in OG-Joshi to be the best, or just to get your sister fired? If it's the latter, you never really were our Champion to begin with. Matt Rivers could lose 100 matches and still be the UBL Front Lines Field Leader based on his dedication for his role. Winning one match doesn't make you our true Champion, Ruby, only your desire to prioritize OG-Joshi competition over a petty and selfish agenda will.
I'll see you all at Voltage.
