*It is the day following the May Amplitude and "Gymnast" Kellie Boone has just knocked on the door of Coach Carter's office. After Luke Kisiera asks who it is, Kellie announces herself and is promptly let it. Inside, Jean is on the phone with a stressed look and Luke is buried in paperwork. Kellie tentatively walks over to one of the chairs near the desk and slumps into it. Jean smiles at Kellie and then politely asks if she can call back who she's on the phone with. This promptness makes Kellie seem frustrated even though MJC smiles at her.*
[Kellie:] "I'm sorry. I'm not gonna pretend I should be on your list of even the top fifty priorities to deal with today after what went down on the show. So I want to apologize for even taking your time. You've always been so supportive of me and I feel bad intruding-"
[MJC:] "Kellie, it's ok. As long as you're a wrestler here, you matter as much as anyone else on the roster. Please, what's on your mind?"
[Kellie:] "I....I just don't know why I keep losing. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong anymore. Xiang is one of the best wrestlers on the roster and I'm the only reason that our team is having problems. And it's really getting to me cause I'm holding her back."
[MJC:] "You faced Lina and Gutter, Kellie. They aren't easy opponents. Even though they aren't tag wrestlers, they have more experience then either of you and know how to win in that ring. Losing to them was no shame."
*Kellie looks embarrassed and shakes her hands and head.*
[Kellie:] "Oh, no, I know...please, I didn't mean it was a fluke or an upset anything. They are great and they earned it. It's just...
*Kellie gets frustrated trying to explain it and finally just throws her hands up.*
[Kellie:] "It's like this. Even though losing to just about anyone on this roster has no shame...what about losing to everyone?"
*MJC sighs.*
[MJC:] "It's times like this I'm reminded that I'm not Celes. She was a fighter, a warrior. She knew how to handle things like this cause she's been in the ring. Kellie, all I can tell you is to keep trying your best. I'm just not sure what you are doing wrong from a technical perspective. I just know someone has to win and someone has to lose and sometimes the same person does the same thing a few times."
[Luke:] "Got that right. I've lost my share of matches too and it's frustrating when a streak builds up. But you can't lose your confidence. And even more importantly, you just have to cling harder to what brought you here in the first place."
*Kellie looks down and frowns.*
[Kellie:] "And that's just it. I don't think I know. I mean, I came here cause I was too old to compete in a gymnastics but knew I'd be able to use my physical talents here. I also used to like watching this as a kid. But if you ask me what I want to accomplish besides winning a Title, I just don't know. What could Kellie Boone be for professional wrestling is a question I just have no answer to."
[MJC:] "Then you have to keep asking it."
[Luke:] "Jean is right. At first, I didn't exactly know why I was programmed to be here-"
*Jean walks over to Luke and puts her hand on his head to see if he has temperature.*
[MJC:] "Are you ok? What are you talking about, dear?"
*Luke gulps and turns a bit red.*
[Luke:] "I mean...that is, to say, uh, why Drake saw it fit to 'program' my secretarial duties the way he did."
[MJC:] "Oh...oh, right!"
*Luke wipes a few beards of sweat off his head as Jean sits back in her chair.*
[Luke:] "But the longer I stayed here, the more I saw what was going on in pro wrestling. So I then realized what my role was. Protecting my friends. That's what makes me strive to get better. I can't say that will be your motivation in your career, but you'll find it in time."
[Kellie:] "And once I do?"
[Luke:] "You'll do better in the ring and also be less shaken by the occasional loss. That's a guarantee."
[MJC:] "And like Luke says, the longer you are around and the more different situations you are 'programmed' *Jean smiles at Luke who blushes again* to be in, the closer you'll come to finding your exact motivation. It just so happens I may be able to help."
*Kellie looks more enthusiastic.*
[Kellie:] "Oh yeah?"
[MJC:] "We have at least three new wrestlers debuting over the summer. Two will be facing each other at the next Amplitude but the third doesn't yet have an opponent. I was thinking of having her debut on the PPV against someone already on the roster. It would be a dark match to start the show just for the live audience but you'd be given a spot on the biggest event of the year."
*Kellie's eyes light up.*
[Kellie:] "Me? On the PPV? But what did I do to earn that?"
*MJC leans over the desk and puts a hand on Kellie's shoulder and smiles.*
[MJC:] "You have wrestled with dignity and tried your best, Kellie. And when that wasn't getting you exactly where you wanted, you came to me and talked about it rather then improperly venting your anger or frustration out on someone who didn't deserve it. You are the kind of wrestler that deserves opportunities. And you're getting this one cause you did the right thing by me."
*Kellie smiles but then looks conflicted.*
[Kellie:] "But what about Xiang? She's such a better wrestler and deserves the spot on the show."
[MJC:] "I promise to give her a big opportunity in the future as well. But I don't think she'll be upset with this. Even though you're getting a singles match, you and Xiang are still teammates and I think it would benefit her for you to have some more experience. If you can get your confidence back, then you both can go very far in the tag team division. Just think of this as helping her out."
[Kellie:] "Ok, thank you. For...for everything. Both of you!"
*Kellie hugs Luke and then Jean and walks out with a spring in her step.*
[Luke:] "That makes Yoshi and Kellie in the last month. You're breathing new life into these girls, Jean."
[MJC:] "Yeah...but right now I have to get back to making sure Gutter can still breathe with Judy around."
*Jean goes back to the phone and Luke returns to his paperwork.*
[Kellie:] "I'm sorry. I'm not gonna pretend I should be on your list of even the top fifty priorities to deal with today after what went down on the show. So I want to apologize for even taking your time. You've always been so supportive of me and I feel bad intruding-"
