April 2011 Voltage
*Voltage starts off with the usual 'fan pan and scan'. Then the Orochi Tron shows the card for the night*
1: Rose Moreno vs. Canada Meg
2: Tigerfly Sword/Teresa Tanaka/Xouxou Chen vs. Royal Deities
3: Molly Cule vs. Kim Cross
4: OG-Joshi Tag Titles: Team Chuu Chuu vs. Reed Sisters (c)
But after a few seconds, the card is taken off the screen and replaced with a slideshow of pictures showing the lineage of OG-Joshi World Champions. The fans erupt when they see Dizzy's picture, cheer loudly for Haley, give a split reaction (strong on both cheers and boos) for Holly, more enthusiastic cheers for Visper...and then we see Ruby's face causing an uproar among the fans until a question mark appears on Ruby's face. This calms the fans down a bit and causes them to laugh. Seconds later, the OG-Joshi World Champion herself comes out and sees the picture on the tron, She rolls her eyes and grabs a microphone.*
[Ruby:] "Very cute, Jean, but we all know that I am currently the legitimate World Champion. Still, there is something about that video that strikes a chord of truth. What is the saying that children learn while watching disturbing creatures try to crudely educate them on public access TV?"
*Ruby smiles as the crowd yells: "Muppet-hater!" at her*
[Ruby:] "Oh right, 'one of these things is not like the other.'
There are many things that separate me from the former 'pack' of Champions. For one, I am not injured like three of them currently are. And two, this is not the first major championship that I have held. Do you understand the significance of that?"
*Ruby pauses and lets the now quiet crowd have a few seconds to think.*
[Ruby:] "Every former OG-Joshi World Champion never held a top singles title before they held this belt. They were not already the best. it was an uphill battle from the time they got a shot at this belt to the time they were considered to be in their prime. But I've been in my prime and on top of the women's wrestling world for 3 years now and yet somehow I keep getting better. I must confess that fact shocks me as well. One would think it mathematically impossible for me to have continued to improve but I suppose I'm the sexiest piece of assymptote to ever wear this belt."
*The crowd is dumbstruck and Ruby rolls her eyes.*
[Ruby:] "Sigh...public education again. Ask Molly Cule what I just said. But my point is, ever since I won the LAWL Opulent Mejor Championship, I have been recognized as the best. I elevated the status of the LAWL title by holding it and defending it against those formerly recognized as the icons of our world. It took Holly Walker 2 years to beat Jo Ryder and when she did, it was by a fluke reversal as she grabbed the ropes for leverage. But I defeated Jo in one try with my finisher in the middle of the ring. When I finally laid my hands on this Championship, and did that that too in just one try, I was already recognized as the best wrestler in the world."
*Ruby holds her Title up but then looks irritated.*
[Ruby:] "And yet, I am mocked by the acting head of this organization. Threatened by nearly everyone in the locker room. This all, despite the fact that I am the only Champion to elevate this Title higher then it was. That is what truly separates me from everyone else to hold this Title. That is why OG-Joshi's 'other' Champions can never measure up to me..."
*Ruby holds her hands in the air and closes her eyes*
[Ruby:] "I am the shining light of professional wrestling and you are all in my shadow." *Ruby opens her eyes and smiles* But it is pleasant and cool there, so you should not dismay. Rather then whine about the manner in which I faced Visper or moan about my 'heartless conditions' for staying in OG-Joshi, why not allow me to raise OG-Joshi higher then it's ever been? Higher then Celes or Carter or Geese could possibly take it? All I ask is that you ignore a certain someone who won the meritless genetic lottery of sharing my last name. You should have no trouble doing so after you see her be soundly defeated by my understudy, Megan."
The crowd is dismayed and quieted by Ruby's statements and give no reaction to Megan, aka "Canada Meg", as she comes out to ringside. Ruby walks Meg down the ramp, whispering to her along the way. Meg keeps nodding and Ruby takes a seat by the timekeeper's table. Next, Rose Moreno comes down to ringside accompanied by Coach Jean Carter! The fans get to their feet for Jean who smiles points to Rose, which has the effect of them chanting for her instead. Jean smiles and gives her own pep talk to Rose who gets into the ring. Then Jean walks over and sits down next to Ruby after politely shaking her hand. Ruby smirks and mouths 'aren't we confident tonight, Coach?' which Coach replies with 'she's a Moreno, right?'. Ruby narrows her eyes and gets the timekeeper to ring the bell, presumably wanting to get out of here as soon as possible.

A huge and perhaps career-saving victory by Rose Moreno against the more experienced Canada Meg! On many occasions it appeared that Meg had this match in the beh'g (sorry) but Rose used all her resiliency and spirit to avoid defeat. Then she got Meg off balance enough to shock her with that quick roll-up pin to seal the victory.
Rose Moreno (O) [Mr, Clutch - 15:51] (X) Canada Meg
Ruby Moreno quickly rolls into the ring and yells at the referee for making a fast count. But Jean calmly walks up the stairs, is helped into the ring by Rose, and then raises her hand in victory. Then she shakes the hand of the referee, clearly acknowledging the victory as official. Ruby takes Meg's hand and marches her out of the ring and down the ramp but not before Jean gets a microphone.*
[MJC:] "Perhaps each Moreno is the master of their own destiny."
*Ruby storms out of the arena while the fans laugh at her and cheer for Rose. Jean once again raises Rose's hand in victory. Rose appears very shy and even looks a little uncomfortable with all the attention but Jean keeps the crowd clapping for her as they go backstage.
*A bizarre commercial with a cat walking backwards airs in anticipation of the FPCPP "Hand Cat" PPV.
We now turn to a six woman tag match stemming from the previous Amplitude. Tigerfly Sword came to the assistance of the "Arctic Angels", Teresa Tanaka and Xouxou Chen, after they were attacked by the Deities. The Angels had just finished defeating the Deity team of Valencia and Gabriella in a close match before Avalon took revenge for her group. The Angels have recently won two straight matches against the Gymnasts on O's TV.
The Deities come down to the ring now with clear boos that don't seem to bother them at all. However, at one point, Gabriella Breeze screams "SHUT UP FOOLS" and pretty much the entire lower section of the arena goes deathly quiet. Avalon smirks at this and they all get into the ring. Tigerfly Sword and the Angels come out next. Although the Angels have been successful against the Deities, Tigerfly Sword has yet to score a victory in OG-Joshi over her multi-promotional rival, Avalon. The last two matches have gone to Avalon and while Tigerfly will get another chance at the June Voltage, she hopes to make some headway here tonight. Meanwhile, the Angels are staring down the Deities and Xouxou, in particular, has a very menacing look on her face. As all competitors are now ready, let's get to the ring.

The true spirit of tag teamery is realized as Xouxou and Tigerfly combine to get the victory. Tigerfly drove her rival Avalon into the canvas with a huge elevated german suplex but since she was not tagged in, she had to leave the ring. Xouxou immediately followed up by mounting Avalon and transitioning into a rear naked choke which may have not even been necessary given the impact of Sword's german suplex. So while Tigerfly didn't officially get the win, she came just about as close as one could get!
Tigerfly/Teresa/Xouxou (O) [Rear Naked Choke - 23:46] (X) Avalon/Gabriella/Valencia
The Deities appear to want a repeat performance of the end of the last Amplitude match but with Avalon sleeping in the middle of the ring, they think better of going for a 2 against 3 attack. Instead, Gabriella drags Avalon out of the ring, places her onto her shoulders, and carries her backstage with Valencia following. The Angels and Tigerfly celebrate as Tigerfly points at Avalon and makes a sleeping motion to the delight of the fans.
Our next match features the up and coming (and earlier referenced) Molly Cule facing the tough veteran Kim Cross. Kim seems to have lost some of her swagger after her alleged paramour, Mr. Figaro, left...the world (?). But the last time Kim wrestled, she gave Naomi a very tough match. Molly has had a lot of success on Voltage and many (including her associate, the UBL wrestler Dean Annay) feel this will be the "Year of the Cule." That proclamation is bolstered by Molly's incredible performance against former World Champion Visper Karr. However, Molly seems to have a lot to prove tonight after narrowly dropping a close match to Amplitude's Lina "Lina" Malloy during the first Orochi-O's TV of the year. Beating someone on the level of Kim would be a huge boon for Molly's career. But given the high profile opponents who have lost to Miss Cross, it will be a tall order for Molly to climb Mt. Kim.
...what? No commentator remarks about that last line? I guess i'll continue on then. Molly comes to the ring with a blackboard showing a graph of an asymptote and tries to explain it as best she can to the audience. After a few moments of awkward silence and head scratching, Molly sighs and starts to explain long division instead. With the fans a bit more amenable to this, she seems satisfied. Kim comes to the ring next, looks at the blackboard, and then draws a picture of herself (with ample bosom) and Mr. Figaro with a heart. The crowd looks sad and Molly puts her hand on Kim's shoulder to comfort her about her lost love. But Kim smirks, grabs Molly's arm, and immediately tries to roll her up for the pin!! Molly looks shocked while Kim and some of her fans just laugh. Looks like Kim still has got her wiles about her! But this ruse has just further motivated Molly. Let's get back to the ring!

A huge victory on both the microscopic and macroscopic scale! Not only has Molly Cule beaten her first major opponent on Voltage, but she did it in one of her best matches to date! While Kim put up quite a fight, she could not fend off the devestating impact of the Atom Splitter. The fans are buzzing with excitement (and maybe some bees got into the arena) at the performance of Molly. Many are starting to clearly see why Jean put Molly on Voltage last year despite her brief amount of time in OG-Joshi as a whole.
Molly Cule (O) ["Atom Splitter" - 19:43] (X) Kim Cross
Another person who was closely observing Molly was Lina who has just now been sighted in one of the luxury boxes in the upper deck of the arena. She is by herself, flanked by a lot of Genji Security, and appears to be impressed and nodding at the result of this match. Given Lina's current search for a partner to challenge the OG-Joshi Tag Team Champions at the next PPV, one has to wonder if her former opponent Molly is on the list of candidates.
At the very least, Lina is here to find out who exactly the Champions will be at the PPV which will be decided by tonight's main event. Last year, the Dod Squod won certain matches to get a Title shot at Ragnarok. But Team Chuu Chuu looked equally impressive and the Reed Sisters promised that if they retained the Championship at Ragnarok, they'd give them a Title shot soon after. That shot has come tonight and is actually the first time Chuu Chuu has had a Championship opportunity. Given the status of underdogs that the Reeds themselves had before defeating J*NiGHT to win the Tag Titles, you have to figure they aren't underestimating Chuu Chuu in the same way.
Both pairs have tremendous chemistry and almost a psychic level of teamwork. But the Reeds have faced and defeated top notch tag teams like J*NiGHT and the Dods. Team Chuu Chuu haven't had that same experience or success but tonight they get a chance to turn all of that around. Who will go to the next OG-Joshi PPV this summer and defend their Tag Titles against Lina and a partner of her choosing!? Let's find out.*

What an effort by Team Chuu Chuu! It's clear they brought their best for this huge moment in their career but it just wasn't enough to keep the Reeds down. And in their characteristic technical fashion, Melody gets the victory with her "Al Fine" roll-up finisher: a move that many wrestlers have been unable to get out of. You have to hand it to both teams for the match we just saw but it is the Reeds who, once again, go to a major PPV as the OG-Joshi Tag Team Champions.
Yaoi/Yuri (X) ["Al Fine" - 24:19] (O) Melody/Harmony
The Reeds shake the hands of Team Chuu Chuu who are gracious in defeat. As they congratulate each other for a match well fought, the Hellions ermerge from the crowd! They grab chairs and get ready to attack all the wrestlers in the ring but are cut off by Chanel Melendez and Lorelai! These two teams have had their share of wars over the last few months and appear ready for another one. But Coach Carter runs out with a microphone.
[MJC:] "Sako, Hae-Won. Don't even think about it. You two have been fighting Chanel and Melendez all year. You're gonna get one more chance to get acquainted with each other at the next Voltage and then we're gonna have one final match between your teams at the PPV in a Tornado Tag match. Whoever wins that match will be the new #1 Contenders to the Tag Titles. But you aren't getting anything unless you behave and stop trying to attack people. That's it, break it up! Go backstage and let Chuu Chuu and the Reeds enjoy their moment."
*The Hellions spit snot rockets in the direction of Chanel and Lorelai but leave through the crowd with no further incident. Chanel and Lorelai go backstage as Jean thanks them for helping out. She then turns to the ring and smiles.*
[MJC:] "All four of you just showed the world what the OG-Joshi tag team division is all about. Chuu Chuu, you'll get another chance if you keep wrestling like this. And Reeds, I truly can't imagine a better team to represent this era of OG-Joshi. Thank you."
*Jean claps for them which causes the rest of the audience to do so. The show fades with Chuu Chuu and the Reeds soaking in the cheers of the fans while Lina watches on from her luxury box taking notes.*
*Voltage starts off with the usual 'fan pan and scan'. Then the Orochi Tron shows the card for the night*
1: Rose Moreno vs. Canada Meg

You have to hand it to both teams for the match we just saw but it is the Reeds who, once again, go to a major PPV as the OG-Joshi Tag Team Champions.
