*We fade into the office of OG-Joshi Coach Jean Carter. She is sitting down at her desk facing Miss Asako Matsuki who has also (restlessly) taken a seat. Luke Kisiera is on the couch, to the side of the desk, with a towel around his neck filling out a crossword puzzle.*
[Asako:] "You have big news for me, huh? Maybe you smarter then stupid Drake and recognize my wrestlers' talents when you see them."
[MJC:] "Sergeant Yoshida is one of my mentors and friends so please take the proper tone."
[Asako:] "He mentor of you? Oh boy, OG-Joshi in real trouble then!"
[MJC:] "Considering you were his mentor, you might be right!"
*Jean smiles widely as Asako scowls.*
[Asako:] "He not a good student so let's hope you not one either."
*Luke looks up from his crossword puzzle.*
[Luke:] "What's another word for female dog?"
*Jean blushes but Asako is oblivious to the joke.*
[MJC:] "Try...puppette."
[Luke:] "Cute!"
*Jean smiles mischievously at Luke and then looks back at Asako.*
[MJC:] "I am willing to offer Narai Kaeo a shot at the OG-Joshi World Title."
*Asako almost jumps out of her chair but then quickly reserves herself and nods as if this was expected.*
[Asako:] "Yes, that is the right thing to do. She is clearly the best wrestler in the world, besides RYOMA, of course."
[Luke:] "I agree! Chester Willoughby was like the Ace of UBL before RYOMA beat him."
[Asako:] "Shut sarcastic mouth!"
*Luke looks up innocently and blushes.*
[Luke:] "Oh my apologies, I was just filling out a word puzzle. Somehow the answer was relevant to your conversation."
*Luke shows her the word puzzle where astonishingly there is a section that says exactly what Luke just did. (granted it appears to have been written in a rush and in the same handwriting style as Luke's...). Asako looks annoyed but calms down a bit.*
[Asako:] "Just keep quiet."
[MJC:] "Now Miss Matsuki, I am not just offering a World Title shot without something in return."
[Asako:] "Yes you are."
*MJC laughs in an annoyed fashion*
[MJC:] "Nooooo I'm not. Narai isn't quite the top contender to the World Title. She recently lost to Natalia Nogaard and there are plenty of others ahead in line for that shot. In order for Narai to get a Title match, you have to do something for me first."
[Asako:] "You want stock in Matsuki Investments? We talk over dinner at gentleman's club like all my clients."
*A small squeaky laugh comes from Luke as MJC blushes.
[MJC:] "No...I don't think we need to do that or go there or see that. I don't want stock, I want you to relinquish the contract of Yoshi Hattori."
*Asako immediately becomes furious.*
[Asako:] "WHAT!? YOU CAN NOT DO THAT! SHE IS MINE!"
[MJC:] "First of all, I didn't say I could do that. I was simply making an offer for a deal which I thought a business woman like you could appreciate. Secondly, she isn't yours. This is the United States of America and no one belongs to anyone else, regardless of where the contract was signed. If I find out you are treating Yoshi like a slave or in an illegal way, then the law will get involved very quickly."
[Asako:] "You bluffing, you have no evidence!"
*MJC pickes up a manilla folder that says "Report: Yoshi Hattori" on it and waves it in front of Asako.*
[MJC:] "Actually I kinda do have evidence thanks to our staff psychologist. But right now I want us to seek a peaceful and, above all, quick resolution to this situation. So that is why I am willing to make this deal. Narai gets a Title shot and Yoshi gets out of her contract."
[Asako:] "But wait...the Champion is no friend of yours."
[MJC:] "No, Ruby Moreno is not a friend of mine. But she also knows the value of a deal. I already talked to her on the phone a few minutes before you arrived and she agreed to defend her Title on the last Orochi-O's TV show against Narai Kaeo if you let Yoshi go."
[Asako:] "What!? She care about Yoshi too?"
*MJC frowns very deeply. The kind of frown that goes beyond the simple, and obvious, "no" answer to Asako's question.*
[MJC:] "No, she doesn't even know who Yoshi...or you...are."
*Asako is once again furious and almost starts to pick up MJC's phone but is stopped.*
[Asako:] "Why you stop me? I call Moreno and give her a piece of my mind!"
[MJC:] "I doubt she cares about what you have to say. But I need you to listen closely right now. In order for me to offer Narai a Title shot, Ruby and I made a side deal: One in which I am very unhappy about my side of the bargain. But as Coach, sometimes I have to make decisions that help people like Yoshi even if it also means helping people like...well, let's just say Ruby for now."
[Asako:] "Why you all stressed? What stupid thing you do now?"
[Luke:] "Watch your mouth."
*Asako looks over at Luke to find he said that directly to her without the puzzle cover up.*
[Luke:] "That's my girlfriend you're talking to and the OG-Joshi Coach. Show some respect."
[Asako:] "I send Narai over to teach you about respect. You like that-"
[MJC:] "Enough. Asako, you don't have to worry about my deal with Ruby. It doesn't affect you, not directly at least. All I need to hear from you is that if Narai gets a Title shot, that you release Yoshi from her Matsuki contract and stop harassing her."
*Asako takes a few minutes to consider this while MJC goes over to Luke and places her hands on his shoulder. She whispers thank you to him and giggles at the crossword puzzle where Luke wrote down an assortment of 'adjectives' to describe Asako.*
[Asako:] "Fine. I don't like putting all eggs in one basket but Hattori a loser chicken. She not win any title for me and never will."
*MJC breathes a sigh of relief, followed by an uneasy sigh, and then a sigh at sighing too much. She gives some papers to Asako to sign.*
[Asako:] "So what about Voltage match?"
[MJC:] "Right, I had set up a triple threat between Narai, Yoshi, and Natalia for the Voltage before the PPV."
[Asako:] "Keep that match. It part of deal."
[MJC:] "Only if you remember the part of the deal that says Narai and you can't harass her."
[Asako:] "Narai can't ever wrestle Hattori again? What happens when Narai become World Champion! Hattori too scared to wrestle for Title?"
[MJC:] "Fine, we'll keep the match. Even if Narai goes in as Champion. But remember that Yoshi will be her own wrestler and not going in as a member of your group. In fact, let's finish this all up right now for everyone's sake."
*MJC nods to Luke who leaves the room and comes back a few minutes later with a frightened but hopeful Yoshi Hattori.*
[MJC:] "It's ok, Yoshi. She made the deal."
*A look of pure cruelty comes onto Asako's face*
[Asako:] "I change mind. No deal. She mine forever."
*Yoshi looks crestfallen and is clearly about to cry but Asako laughs.*
[Asako:] "Haha, just joke. We make deal to get rid of loser like you from Matsuki group. You deadweight."
*MJC glares at a laughing Asako and instructs the frightened Yoshi to sign a piece of paper. Then Asako signs it with her own expensive pen. Then MJC signs it with a Heathcliff pen. Then Luke signs under the "witness" line. MJC puts it into a filing cabinet.*
[MJC:] "Miss Hattori, you are now a free agent and no longer part of Matsuki Investment Group. Enjoy the first day of the rest of your life."
*Yoshi hugs Jean tightly, causing Luke to almost faint, and Asako to spit on the ground.*
[Asako:] "You just better make sure Moreno not cheat Narai out of Title shot. Or else Yoshi going to pay for it."
*Asako leaves the room and Yoshi becomes even more jubilant, hopping up and down and dancing with Jean and Luke.*
[Yoshi:] "You freed me!! We friends forever now!"
*Yoshi is doing cartwheels around the room and flipping over desks and being a happy Elimininja. Jean smiles and nods as she watches Yoshi celebrate but a part of Jean's expression isn't quite perfectly happy as she eyes the contract on her desk: specifically the part near Ruby Moreno's name. She picks up the phone and dials a number.*
[MJC:] "Ok, Miss Matsuki accepted the deal....*Jean pauses to listen* Yes, next month at O's TV....*Pause* I disagree, I didn't do this out of weakness. But you'll never understand that....*Pause* No, I won't be happy to see her but it's not a guarantee and I accept the terms of the agreement...*Pause* Right, I'll be watching LAWLiday....*Pause* Just keep the title warm for Visper. *MJC hangs up*."
*Luke takes a break from celebrating with Yoshi to put his arm around Jean and whispers to her.*
[Luke:] "No matter what happens, you absolutely did the right thing here. This is why you're Coach, Jean, because you actually care about the wrestlers and try your best to help them. It's not always easy but I'm proud of you and I know Celes would be too."
*That perks Jean up a lot as she goes back to celebrating with Yoshi (who is practically running up the walls from happiness). The scene fades as the three have a spirited game of "duck duck goose" (luckily Jinchuu isn't nearby) and start Easter egg painting.*
