Jacquelyn-Hyde Connection: Winter LAWLidays

A ski lodge somewhere in upstate New York. The camera pans slowly across a snow-covered mountain side, taking in the still, beautiful landscape so perfect for a variety of winter sports and other activities.

”Hey, Angel! Focus!”

The camera turns to Jacquelyn Archer, one half of the A/S/L champions. Her tag team partner, Angelica Hyde, turns with us, pulled away from the view outside the window.

Angelica: ”Sorry, Lyn. What's up?”

Lyn sighs to herself.

Lyn: ”Your mind's been in the stars since Jason called. If something's up, why won't you tell me about it?”

Angelica: ”Sorry... I'll fill you in later, okay? We should be out enjoying the snow while it's still here...”

Lyn: ”You have to take this seriously. We've got Tonia and Silvia for the titles, and there's no way I'm letting them beat us.”

Angelica: ”I know, and we can beat them. We've been in the ring with them like a dozen times - I don't understand what's got you so fired up about it.”

Lyn: ”Didn't you hear what they said? They'd already earned a title shot... it was all but official already, they didn't have to go make a big show out of threatening Gloria for it. That just pisses me off...”

Angelica: ”You know what they're like, though. We've been fighting them for years, it's not like the first time they did something like this.”

Lyn: ”Yeah, but why now? We've got enough trouble in LAWL right now. We were THERE at Voltage, that's why we came up here remember? Whatever Ruby and Destiny are doing is big... LAWL just isn't the same lately, and Lupe told me it's been getting worse ever since Ruby stole the OG-Joshi title.”

Lyn pauses, her hand closing into a fist, landing half-heartedly against the tabletop.

Lyn: ”How did things get this messed up? We need to do our part to keep order, and that means hanging on to the gold so at least Reyes won't have to worry about another set of champs raising hell. We gotta push everything else aside and just focus on that...”

Angelica: ”I guess. Listen, Jason's got a big match tomorrow, and I really need to talk to him before that goes down. 'Sides I think both of us really just need to clear our heads. Join me on the slope for a bit before we figure out what to do to keep the gold?”

Lyn shakes her head. ”Maybe tomorrow, Snow Angel. You know going out in the cold isn't really my thing... Think I'll head to the gym, vent a bit that way. Come find me later, 'kay?”

Angelica nods, taking out her phone as Lyn walks off, and we fade to black.
