Re: OG-Joshi World Title, Amplitude, and more!
Ruby Moreno is the new OG-Joshi World Champion. She is correct about the rules and even with her chicanery, she wrestled the actual match without cheating in any way. Aside from Visper and Kat, there's probably no one else on this roster who dislikes how Ruby cut the line of contenders more then I do. That goes double for her ultimatum. But stripping her of the World Title now without trying to find a better solution would hurt its legitimacy and punish all of us way more then her.
I will be meeting with Miss Moreno very soon and I have confidence that we will come to some kind of understanding. While I have appreciated the battle cries for OG-Joshi, I request that no one takes things into their own hands and violently try to take the World Title back by force. It will be counterproductive for what the World Title stands for and I simply won't allow it to go unpunished.
Onto the next matter, I was very happy with just about everything I saw on Amplitude.
The two exceptions being the Royal Deities attack and Firefly's antics in the "No Escape" match. Tigerfly Sword should be commended for her efforts to stop the Deities and her reward will be two more chances to face them. At the next Voltage, she will team with Teresa and Xouxou to face all three Deities. And at the following Voltage, Tigerfly will get another chance to defeat Avalon in a one on on match. As for Firefly, we're gonna try this the right way. You are clearly a very physically capable fighter and can wrestle legitimately when you want to. So I will offer an incentive rather then a punishment.
Firefly, along with seven other wrestlers will take part in the upcoming #1 contender tournament for Eris Byrne's impressively defended Amplitude Championship. Here are the participants and the matches that we will see at the next Amplitude.
Inza G. vs. Sandy Morton. Heather Heaton vs. Minerva. Tigress Mask II vs. Yoyo Banzai. Firefly vs. H.
You will notice that Tigress Mask II, Naomi, is in the tournament. She and I have decided that she would prosper better on Amplitude right now given this tournament opportunity and the fighting spirit of Champion, Eris Byrne. Keina has agreed to swap spots and take Naomi's place on Voltage, herself desiring some different competition.
Also, while I don't particularly care for Sandy Morton, she voiced her desire to wrestle Inza G. in a tribute match to Holly. My past disagreements with Holly aside, I feel this is an appropriate gesture and Inza was happy to be involved in it.
Also, LOLCat will be there and is the new permanent 'manager' for Inza. Maybe Miss Matsuki could learn some new positive management techniques from watching a nurturing kitten. Really, we all could.
Finally, I mentioned in my last Corner that I was looking for ways to help Lina with her fan situation. I think I have come up with one. My goal is to keep her wrestling while allowing her fans to have time to cool down and not get out of control. Placing Lina in a tag team could hopefully give us that solution. When Lina is in trouble, at least her fans would know she has someone backing her up in the ring. Now it's just a matter of seeing who Lina would like to team with. If she can be successful in her next few tag outings and beat a top tag title contender, I will offer her and any partner of her choice a shot at the OG-Joshi Tag Team Championships during the next PPV. I also will remind everyone that the Reed Sisters will be defending those Titles against Team Chuu Chuu at the upcoming Voltage in a match the Reeds specifically requested.
I hope everyone has an safe month and avoids the Ides of March next week!
