LAWLiday 2011 Announcement

*We open up to the LAWL ring in the LAWLitorium. There is a podium surrounded by some chairs outside on the floor. Gloria Reyes is standing next to the podium and shuffling some notes while press-looking people (including numerous vegetables and fruits with press hats) are sitting outside waiting for her announcements.*
[Gloria:] "Welcome. I'd like to make this quick but I felt the occasion merited something a bit more then just a written press release on our website. Now, OG-FPD isn't the only promotion that remembers its birth date. LAWL does too. However, while LAWL actually started years and years ago, this month marks a special anniversary."
*Some press murmurs are heard*
[Gloria:] "Up until early 2006, LAWL wasn't known outside of Los Angeles besides a few dedicated wrestling fan circles. This coming LAWLiday marks the 5th Anniversary of our worldwide DVD distribution. As such, I want to put on a high profile "Cinco de LAWLo" show. Tonight I will present you with the card for what is sure to be a memorable event."
*Gloria points to the LAWLitron and a graphic appears*
LAWLiday 2010 - Cinco de LAWLo
1 - LLAMA Mask vs. Anonymous female crowd jumper
2 - Reyes UP! vs. LAWLunkaloompas
3 - Iara Andrade vs. Cynthia San Martino
4 - A/S/L Titles: Jiminez Sisters vs. Jacquelyn-Hyde Connection (c)
5 - OMG Title: Alicia Gordon vs. Jenny McLanahan (c)
[Gloria:] "Alicia Gordon won a tournament last year to become the new #1 Contender. So that match was an easy choice. I will not comment on her continuing struggles with OG-Joshi management as I believe LAWL brings out the best in her.
The Jiminez Sisters have earned their Title match very clearly due to their previous victories and performance in their matches against the Champs. I can't say I love their attitudes but their in ring work has been superb.
Captain Lucy Cutlass is being given the show off due to her grueling Title match at HaLAWLoween. She will defend her 1337 Title at the following show this Spring."
*Chants of "arr" are heard which Gloria promptly ignores.*
[Gloria:] "Ruby Moreno and I are done wrestling each other. She has nothing left to prove with me and I do not wish to further pursue the matter. I had my day in the sun and it is time for the active roster members to be given the chance to do so, without having to worry about me taking their time. Ruby, of course, is still an active roster member but she has specifically requested not to be placed in a match for LAWLiday. Instead, she has promised us a special presentation on behalf of herself and the Destiny Organization to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Yes, I'm concerned too."
*The crowd laughs and Gloria smiles. But then a serious expression comes onto her face.*
[Gloria:] "I am upset with the attack on LLAMA Mask but it seems that V-H8 had nothing to do with it so they won't be punished. LLAMA Mask expressed, frighteningly, its desire to face its attacker so whoever that woman was will be allowed in the ring so LLAMA Mask can settle the score. I wouldn't advise this woman take up the challenge. LLAMA Mask and Pinata Mask drove off the Gooses, they are not to be trifled with. But the match is on if the woman wants it.
Next we will have the long awaited encounter between Iara Andrade and Cynthia San Martino. I do not know what to expect from this given the high degree of animosity both women have towards each other. But I am hoping they realize their status as top contenders to the OMG Title and that a clean win here will get them very close to a future Title shot.
Finally we have a match between my two sisters, now known collectively as "Reyes UP!," facing the LAWLunkaloompas. While I think Marie and Grace are individually top OMG Title contenders, I understand their desire to reform their bond and am glad to have another strong tag team in our ranks.
*At this time we see the LAWL spirit of Winter come out from the entrance way and wave to the press.*
[Gloria:] "The LAWL Spirit of Winter will also be in attendance so I emphasize to all wrestlers to be on their best behavior. Abominable Snow Woman is less lenient then I am. Those seeking violence certainly have no shortage of places to go. And all we want is an enjoyable show with the top notch wrestling that LAWL has become known around the world for. A five year anniversary show is a gift to our fans and our wrestlers. So let's all try to behave, humans and creatures alike."
*Gloria nods to the audience and the conference ends.*
