History
Doctor Lydia Genevieve is the new staff psychologist for OG-Joshi and joined in December of 2010. Foreseeing a particularly violent Ragnarok show along with the pressures of new Titles, Orochi Geese felt it would be wise to bring in someone for the wrestlers to talk to. Amazingly, this service is covered by their medical plan. (Geese is a mean S.O.B. but he gives really good coverage to his employees!) The wrestler may voluntarily come to her or be "referred" to her by Jean. In the case of a referral, it's highly recommended that they do what Jean says if their career advancement matters to them.
The Doctor has a rather unorthodox way of diagnosing and treating her patients. She insists that their first consultation comes in the form of a wrestling match. Then she elbows people in their faces (See below section for "elbow therapy") and drops them on their heads to reveal their true, innermost thoughts which she tells him when the match is over. In some cases, when her opponents fall unconscious during a match, they can tell her their dreams upon waking. She insists on speaking with them immediately at this point, sometimes in the very ring she defeated them in. She has ignored concerns about privacy and how the doctor-patient confidentiality can operate in front of a large wrestling crowd.
Style and Personality
Lydia is actually the first graduate student that Doctor Gabriel Holt ever had. She stuck with his research and practice after she graduated and follows many of the same techniques and theories as he does. Her personality is a bit more subdued but Gabriel believes her to have very high potential due to her mensa level IQ and is proud of her advancement in the field. He thinks she may surpass him one day and is not threatened by that possibility.
Her ring style varies from his at times due to her more frequent usage of submissions since she believes they get patients to bare their soul. She also is lighter and more agile allowing her the use of the famed "Freudensteiner" finisher. She proudly uses Gabriel's "Roaringshach Elbow" theory which leave her jacket patches stained with various patterns of blood from her opponents face. The opponent is then instructed to look at the "blood blot" and tell her what they look like so she can analyze their problem. Lydia replaces her elbow patches every month, at least.
Titles Held/Other honors:
Summa Cum Laude - University of Pennsylvania undergraduate and Yale graduate.
Various medical awards and journal publications.
Quotes:
"Hypnosis only works if you come in with loose change."
