*We open up inside the outer room of Sergeant Drake Yoshida's UBL office. There is a gathering of people including Drake, Coach Jean Carter, Goro Yamashita, Marauder, and Luke Kisiera. They are huddled around a TV screen and watching the recent Firefly RP. After the tape is over, there is a minute of silence.*
[Drake:] "It was a direct threat."
[Jean:] "But...do you think she means it?"
[Drake:] "And you've never heard anything from her before?"
[Jean:] "Nope. Celes was the one who signed her. Firefly has said nothing to me or to OG-Joshi since then."
[Drake:] "I am not surprised that Celes signed a violent lunatic who wants to injure Holly and others. I'm also inclined to believe that this woman will try to do what she says since it took her so long to say it. She's waited for this moment to reveal her hand and the timing was no accident."
[Jean:] "Cause...Gutter's in the hospital?"
[Drake:] "So you feel most vulnerable."
*Luke stands up and with as much conviction as he has...*
[Luke:] "Gutter isn't the only one that will protect Jean."
[Goro:] "That is very true. You have my help any time you need it, Jean. Against anyone."
[Marauder:] "I don't know you so well, Miss Carter. But you always respected me on commentary in the past. And Luke put his health on the line to help me. So you've got my assistance too."
*A tear rolls down Jean's cheek.*
[Jean:] "I really...thanks. Wow, I really appreciate this. I don't know what to say, guys."
[Luke:] "And I'm sure there are plenty on the OG-Joshi roster who are looking out for you as well."
[Drake:] "But these assurances are not enough. Some direct action needs to be taken for her defense."
[Jean:] "I can get more Genji Security for outside my office-"
*Drake drops his voice to a whisper*
[Drake:] "Do you really trust them any more then I do?"
*Everyone in the room looks surprised and Drake smirks.*
[Drake:] "As much as I have to keep up appearances putting my confidence in them, I'm not going to risk Jean's safety leaving it solely to their questionable agendas. She needs someone we can trust."
*Jean smiles at Drake who nods back.*
[Drake:] "A few months ago we made a deal that Jean would find a new secretary to replace Luke in his role here so that he could work in her office instead. Jean, have you made any headway with your search?"
*Jean tries to keep as blank an expression as possible. A small expression of anxiety sneaks in as she thinks of Rose but Drake doesn't look suspicious.*
[Drake:] "I understand. It's not always easy to find good help. *Drake glances at Luke who blushes* But under these new circumstances putting Jean in peril, I will waive my prior condition. Luke, in addition to your new spot on the Front Lines roster, I'd like you to be Jean's secretary and bodyguard. After seeing your heroism against Snake Mountain and Judy Bones, you should be able to hold off Firefly in the case of an attack, at least long enough for Jean to call for additional help."
*Luke looks at Jean with a serious expression.*
[Luke:] "No one will hurt you. That's a promise."
*Jean hugs Luke and the two linger in each other's arms until they make eye contact, blush and disengage.*
[Drake:] "I still need Goro here, especially in light of Furis' recent actions. But Goro can make it down to your office quickly enough if necessary. And if Marauder is with him, I pity those who cause you trouble. Furthermore, I believe Matt Rivers will be in the UBL Gym even more often then he has in the past, and that is roughly halfway between our two offices."
[Goro:] "Luke and Matt fighting together is a potent and heroic combination."
[Drake:] "Let's hope at Ragnarok as well."
*Luke gulps and Marauder pats him on the back. Jean sighs again.*
[Jean:] "I just don't understand how someone could hate me so much. I've never done anything to her. And I've had nothing to do with helping Holly. You all know how much she and I don't get along. Why should I be blamed for what she did before I was even in power? I've been trying all year to turn things around and fix what she has broken and that's what Illumination was about. Even if Firefly might not think I've done enough, why would she hate me for trying to help!?"
[Drake:] "She's taking the Alicia Gordon approach: Ends justify the means - hurt those who cause any trouble, or are merely an obstacle, for her grand vision. Since you don't want to use violence to stop certain people, you are just as much a problem to her as those certain people. Perhaps even more so since she believes you have the power to stop them due to your position."
[Jean:] "Which is ironic since it's the exact opposite of what I can do in my job. Geese's number one rule for me as Coach is that I can't intentionally put Holly in a position where she'd get hurt. That's the same rule he gave Celes, which is why he fired her immediately when she punched Holly. Firefly expects me to do the impossible as Coach in a promotion owned by Orochi Geese. Which means she's going to be impossible to deal with!"
[Drake:] "Not impossible. You've done a good job so far with motivating the questionable elements on your roster. You've gotten better results with the Dods then I ever got. So I am convinced you'll figure out what to do with these new challenges. This doesn't leave this room but you've already taught me a few things about leading a roster, quite frankly."
*Jean looks genuinely touched and mouths "thanks"*
[Drake:] "For now, let's just get you secure and ready for Ragnarok. I have extra security measures planned in case Furis crashes the party. He made a direct threat to me recently about arriving at the "end of days" that I take seriously. You should be just as ready for Judy Bones, Dramesi, and Firefly. Being the head of a promotion means doing the best you can to prepare for the worst. So I suggest you come up with a plan for dealing with radicals: a plan that doesn't rely solely on Genji. Good luck, Jean."
*Jean takes a deep breath and and stands up. Luke does as well.*
[Jean:] "Thanks for everyone's help. I agreed to become Coach to make sure people wouldn't get hurt. And even if myself or others are threatened, I have to keep my promise and not back down from my principles. But it's sure a lot easier when I have friends like you all to support me! I won't forget this, guys."
*Jean and Luke walk outside the office and head down the hall to the OG-Joshi wing where we will pick up their interaction in a few days exactly where this RP left off. Consider time frozen until then. Don't move.*

[Drake:] "And you've never heard anything from her before?"
