MAIN CHARACTERS

Mark Spirals

*Mark Spirals is very serious and travels the globe with a stern nature. Most people view his personality as “focused” and saying that “his appearance and demeanor demands the attention of others” while some say his personality is “boring” or “detached”. Mark, on common occasions, shows a very good sense of humor. Mark’s ultimate goal as a wrestler and as a man is to “become the best that he can be”. To this end, Mark takes his travels and his training very seriously. Other than his motives and attitude, Mark is also known to be very kind and good-hearted as he always puts others before himself.*

Heather Heaton

*Heather Heaton is highly respected and beloved in the Next Era Wrestling Universe. Heather is very flirtatious towards males and females; others have noted that this behavior could just be a visage to hide her number of secrets. With that thought in mind, people just meeting her find it rather difficult or impossible to figure Heather out or approach her for anything. Heather’s overly “playful” nature contrasts her hobbies which include, playing the piano, ballroom dancing, and acting. Another character contradiction Heather makes on herself is showing dislike of work of any kind which she finds “dull” but she has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and excels in French.*

Jayden Blayze

*Due to the prejudice and loneliness he suffered in his childhood, Jayden Blayze develops a craving for attention and acknowledgement. In order to achieve this Jayden makes a promise to himself to become a Legend in the Next Era Wrestling Universe. Jayden is a firm believer in the “Spirit of Dragoon” which is a fighting style and a way of life rooting from the beliefs of Japanese wrestling Legend Crymson (who is Jayden’s idol and even uses one of his moves, a springboard moonsault called the “Dragoonsault”) which means love is the key to peace and that a wrestler must love, believe, cherish and fight for those who are most precious to him/her. Jayden’s exuberant personality and fiery desire for self-improvement strongly impacts the lives of those around him. Jayden is also easily excitable, impulsive and suffers from a short attention span which makes him act before thinking.*

Rachel Sky

*Rachel Sky is timid, soft-spoken and polite. She is kind and dislikes fighting. Rachel lacks self-confidence, but she works hard and has good intentions. Rachel is also incredibly empathetic as she often tries to soothe the emotional wounds of others. Generally, Rachel opts to think carefully before acting, and when she does manage to muster up enough self-confidence, she can be surprisingly competent. These episodes of confidence typically occur when Mark Spirals is around or for Mark’s benefit. Rachel strives to become more open about her opinions and to become more confident overall and wants a will to take decisive action. Rachel has a long standing admiration for Mark; her fondness towards him is obvious to almost everyone except Mark, who remains oblivious to her feelings. In fact, he finds it awkward to be around her at times since Rachel’s adoration for Mark is such that she becomes unable to properly articulate herself in his presence. Regardless, Mark expresses genuine concern for her since they do get along quite well. As a branch to her admiration for Mark, Rachel adopts Mark’s main goal of only wanting to become the best as she can be.*

Tyler Jett

*Tyler Jett is the best friend and rival of Mark Spirals. While Mark is the serious one of the two, Tyler is the complete opposite. He’s flashy, unorthodox and unpredictable. He can also be very egotistical and arrogant at times. Generally, Tyler is a good guy and is very easy going. He never backs down from a fight no matter how difficult it looks and he always gives his opponents the utmost respect. Tyler is worrywart when it comes to his friends and family. Tyler comes from a rich family; his mother is his home state’s most respected doctor, his father is a famous lawyer and his older brother is a popular soccer player. An interesting note about Tyler is the feminine appearance he and all the males in his family take. In Japan they would call his appearance to be that of “bishonen” or “bidanshi” which in literal terms means “beautiful boy”, the longer version of the definition means “a young man whose beauty and sex appeal transcends the boundary of gender or sexual orientation”. Tyler usually has no problems with his androgynous look as it attracts many females (even more so in Japan) but he gets angry when he is mistaken for a girl, a fact that Jayden Blayze enjoys to exploit.*

Hayley Storm

*Hayley Storm is protective and level-headed most of the time, unless she is provoked by somebody. She isn’t afraid to use her great strength to beat up anyone who troubles her friends or herself. Hayley is a tomboyish wrestler who dreams to make the statement that a female wrestler is just as strong (or stronger) as a male wrestler to everyone worldwide, she already ranks as the one of the top wrestlers in USA male and female. Hayley despises people who she believes are obnoxious, Jayden Blayze is an example of someone who she claims to fit that description. Since the two met during their time at the Young Lions Academy wrestling school, Hayley always viewed Jayden as a weakling because of his lack of talent and finds him extremely annoying. She criticizes Jayden and his dream of becoming a Legend.*

Nero Vayne

*Nero Vayne is very stubborn, strong-willed, impulsive, ill-tempered and has a foul-mouth (the only member of Genesis X to use swear words like “fuck” and “shit”). Nero maintains a detached and “cool” image, despite claiming that he doesn’t care what other people think of him. Nero keeps his face set in a permanent scowl like he is mad about something. His outspoken, hot-headed demeanor is a trait that Nero himself acknowledged, and if someone picks a fight with him he cannot help fighting back. He is known to be compassionate and sympathetic of others or soothing others when they become upset. Nero studies wrestling tapes regularly and doesn’t miss any work that he is given, claiming that he has “nothing better to do”, though he actually works as hard as he does to overcome the misconceptions many have about him, which are based on his hair color and the constant fights he gets himself into. Nero becomes extremely shy and uncomfortable around nude or immodestly dressed women, a fact that Heather Heaton likes to tease him for. Like Jayden Blayze, Nero has some trouble with authority and traditional respect, often quite rude and disrespectful when talking to those older than himself. Another vice Nero carries that he has a hard time remembering people’s faces and names. Nero is also known to be very emotional and often allows his emotions to get the best of him whether it results in rage or in tears.*

Shay Creed

*Shay Creed is initially cool and confident; although Shay’s sarcastic humor is the most striking trait of her personality. One example of her sarcasm is demonstrated when Jayden Blayze speaks about his aspirations, she responds by saying things along the lines of “if you can believe than you can achieve”, while everyone else knows she is mocking him Jayden takes her words to heart since sarcasm goes right over his head. Shay has become very protective and possessive when it comes to Tyler Jett, who as agreed to teach Shay everything that she missed out on when it comes to the outside world; she has made herself as his unofficial bodyguard. Even though she was told that she doesn’t have to follow her old duties anymore, Shay cannot help but do so anyway, she doesn’t know or understands why she still does though. During her time with Genesis X, Shay has picked up the emotions she never felt or understood in her past like joy and fear.

Prior to joining Genesis X, Shay Creed went under the alias of “Agent 18” as a member of the monster heel faction, The Brotherhood. The Brotherhood knew about her being kidnapped and all the fighting disciplines she has learned during that time and when her kidnapper brought her to The Brotherhood they used her many talents to their advantage. Agent 18 was mainly used as a bodyguard/valet and stood by ringside while The Brotherhood members had their matches. Agent 18 had other duties; The Brotherhood also made her ambush and injure anyone who they saw as a possible threat. Agent 18 learns how to be confident and sarcastic as well as finding out how easily she can get annoyed during her time as a member of The Brotherhood.

Shay followed her orders with no complaints or regrets, this is because when she was kidnapped she was taught that the things she did was considered to be “normal”. When Shay was 5 years old her parents were killed in a car accident while she was in the care of a babysitter. Since no one was able to take care of her, Shay was forced to go into an orphanage but since she didn’t recognize the people around her she ran away before they could even take her there. She ran and searched for her mother and father. She was found crying on a park bench by a middle aged man who would then take her into his care. It turns out that this man made a living of kidnapping young children and training them as killers to make him money in an illegal underground fighting arena. This man gave Shay a high school graduate level education via home school but blocked her from any outside interaction, so she knows geography but doesn’t know how to do the little things that even children can do. Over the next 15+ years Shay was made into a killing machine and going undefeated, which is impressive since the only way you can be declared the winner is by killing your opponent. Shay actually got her “Agent 18” alias by defeating another undefeated fighter for 10 years in 18 seconds flat. She was to only be refereed to as Agent 18 thereafter. Shay learns how to fight and wrestle while being kidnapped.*

SECONDARY CHARACTERS

Jaysin Gage

*Jaysin Gage is generally mature and serious for his age, in contrast to his free spirited Young Lion, Candice Valencia. Jaysin gets easily annoyed by others goofing off or drawing unneeded attention. Jaysin hates anything that he deems childish as well as being described as something close to a child, such as being called a “high-school kid” or a “kid” in general. Jaysin is usually joked about by many of the other wrestlers, be it friend or foe. Despite these jokes, or perhaps because of them, Jaysin has developed a cold attitude toward most people; he tolerates these jokes and goes on with his duties. Although he has shown anger towards jokes, he doesn’t take action against whoever insulted him unless they are his enemies, but has never overreacted because of them. The only thing that Jaysin cannot tolerate is not being addressed as “Captain Gage” or an inappropriate use of his name, as he worked very hard for the title so he gets angry when not addressed as such, a fact that Jayden Blayze abuses by giving him the nickname of “Lil Jay Jay” in reference to his age and height.*

Candice Valencia

*Candice Valencia tends to be a slacker who dislikes work and loves to party, shop and drink. She is well-known for her curvaceous figure; her most distinctive feature of it is her very large breasts. She is not the slightest bit modest about her appearance, referring or complaining about her breasts in normal casual conversation, much to the embarrassment or amusement of anyone around at the time. Candice also prefers to wear very provocative and stylish clothing, she prefers loose-fitting tops or tops where she can leave several buttons undone so she can reveal her ample bosom. She is not above using her considerable feminine charms to get her way. Her easy-going and free spirited-personality makes a sharp contrast to her Captain, Jaysin Gage. Around Jaysin, Candice is extremely casual around him, almost constantly by his side and always showing deep loyalty to him, even though her laziness frequently annoys him. While she seems somewhat self-centered, Candice is sensitive to the feelings of others. Despite her lackadaisical image, Candice can be extremely serious when needed and is a capable wrestler and strategist.*
