Re: Reaction to Illumination, injury report, show schedules.
I have a lot of thoughts buzzing about my head after Illumination but I want to properly gather them before I say anything. Overall, I'm ecstatic about most of what we saw but disappointed in some other ways. However, those who disappointed me were mostly expected whereas some of those who made me proud were new to that role. Also congratulations to our new Tag Team Champions, the Reed Sisters, the new Amplitude Champion, Eris Byrne, and our still reigning World Champion, Visper Karr!
Onto some sad news, Lana is going to be out for an indefinite period of time. She suffered a major concussion and was knocked out for way more then I would recommend anyone even think about being knocked out for. We hope there is no long term damage but every precaution is being taken to prepare for the worst. However, I remain optimistic that she'll be back in the ring by the end of the year.
Narai Kaeo did not do anything illegal in the match. It was a Last Woman standing match with the goal to keep your opponent down for 10 seconds. Frankly, it makes me wonder if such a match should have ever taken place or will ever take place again in OG-Joshi. There's something about keeping your opponent down for 10 seconds that results in so much more violence then 3. Seems kinda weird but I'll have to talk to Professor Cule about the math. Anyway, as it would be unfair to punish Narai for my own decision in having this match, or Celes in greenlighting them in the past, I won't do so. Just be sure that if Narai ever does that to someone outside of a match, she will be taken off the roster immediately.
Now for some uplifting news. Natalia Nogaard is getting back into the gym to train for her return!! She was gravely injured by Nicole Dramesi during Amplitude in March but has made enough strides to begin getting back into shape. We hope to see her within the next few months! There's a woman who has so much potential but got a bit lost in the shuffle due to so many new talent coming in at once. I think I'll have a nice place for her to make her return and stand out. I think she has what it takes to make it to the top.
Next isn't so much an injury report as a personnel one. I'm excited to welcome Heather Heaton's new Genesis X group. Even though I haven't gotten as much time over the last year to scout other promotions, I was familiar with the Genesis Wrestling Society. So I was sad when they decided to close their doors. But when Marshall Wallace called me up and asked if Heather and a few others could represent Genesis X in OG-Joshi, I was glad to oblige. I already have high hopes for a new wrestler named Rachel Sky. Very polite!!
Ok I think we need two pages for this!! See you after the turn!
