Teresa Tanaka and Xouxou Chen air a video package taped somewhere in the arena; Xouxou is leaning against a large ladder:
Teresa: So it’s been a good little while since we’ve been around and me and Xouxou figured we oughtta give you an update. You see, we was having a discussion between the two of us about how we haven’t had any face time in a while when it friggin dawned on us: we need another match to “prove” ourselves to the top brass here in OG-Joshi. So we hear about this General Celes character and go to see her about setting up a match when we meet some woman named General Jean. Apparently, Celes is out of the picture and Jean’s running things now. You know, I kind of wish somebody would have like told us that before we went and made near fools of ourselves looking for Celes. I guess that mook that told us about her was either really confused or really stupid; it’s really kinda hard to tell sometimes. Anyhow, we got to talking with this Jean person and she starts yammering on about “working our way up the ladder” in order to get more matches. Although we kinda figured as much, it was still just a little insulting to be taken for granted just because we’re the “new gals.” Despite what Xouxou suggested was an unintentional slight, I decided we should go ahead and “comply.” I asked her for a match but she said she didn’t have anything at the moment. Apparently, there was something wrong with the way I asked her because when Xouxou asked her, she responded by giving us a match. Weird.
Anyhow, we got booked to face the team of Diva and Yoyo. Now, I don’t know much about these gals but I’m guessing we’re more experienced and as such, it won’t be an easy match for them. But that’s okay. I’m not so much concerned about them as I am about us winning the tag titles. As boggling as the thought is, Xouxou and I really don’t mind going through an appetizer or few, so long as we get to savor the main course. You have anything to say, X?
Teresa offers the mic to Xouxou but the latter declines.
Teresa: Then I guess we’re about done. Yoyo, Diva, please know we don’t have anything personal against you two but we’re gonna have to beat you. That’s not some stupid little challenge but a matter of fact. Just give it your all and hopefully we’ll have a fun match.
Xouxou nods disapprovingly at her partner
Teresa: What? I’m doing the whole sportsmanship thing. We are the good guys, right? You know, not everyone wants to cripple people like you, you little monster, hahaha. Um..ok, I guess this video thing is over. Sayonara!
