OG-Joshi Amplitude: March 2010 - "Madness of March Matchening"
Location: Peter Venkman Memorial Arena, NY.
Amplitude returns within a mere month of it's previous episode!
A victory for the future or mark of shame for the past!? You decide!
Molly Cule vs. Sandy Morton
Molly Cule comes to the ring with a surgical mask on after what occurred at the elimination match on Orochi-O's TV where Sandy made her give up by...eww... sitting on her face. While we can't quite see Molly's expression, it does not appear as cheerful as usual. Sandy Morton comes out next strutting down the aisle. She begins hysterically laughing when she sees the mask and then puts her hand down her shorts. She then rubs her entire body, causing Molly to visibly shake.
But once this match begins, its apparent that the shaking was from intensity and not fear. Molly wastes no time in taking Sandy down and repeatedly applying several different submissions that, for the life of her, Sandy has no idea how to escape from. Molly is turning this into a clinic and not the ones Sandy tends to frequent when she has that "burning feeling." Sandy gets in a few slaps to the face and thumbs to the eyes... and they work, but Molly is not to be deterred and continues wrestling literal circles around Sandy, while likely doing mental calculations of said circle' radius and diameter. Sandy attempts a desperation RK-Ho but ends up falling right on the back of her head cause her own hands are still wet and slippery from her shorts journey before. Molly shrugs, goes up top and hits the "Fat Man and Little Boy" combination (Diving Senton followed by a seated senton), finally covering Sandy for the pin at the 8 minute mark.
Molly then takes her mask off and applies it to Sandy's face while proclaiming: "The CDC will thank me for this!" Linda Parker and Jill Chambers come out but it is clear Molly is not trying to hurt Sandy, just send a message - "DO NOT SIT ON MOLLY'S FACE". Molly goes backstage to rabid crowd support while Sandy looks utterly humiliated while resting on her hands and knees: aka "a regular Saturday night."
Yoshi Hattori vs. Natalia Nogaard
Yoshi Hattori comes out accompanied by Miss Asako Matsuki and is all ready for her rematch with Natalia Nogaard. However, after about five minutes pass and Natalia is nowhere to be found, the Ampli-Tron suddenly turns on and we are taken backstage to where Nicole Dramesi is in the process of eviscerating Natalia! Genji Security are being thrown around by Nicole like ragdolls and she then chokeslams Natalia on the hard concrete floor. She then walks away while whistling. Medics attend to Natalia and attach her to a stretcher, being careful not to move her neck. Yoshi appears shaken and tries to go backstage but Miss Matsuki grabs onto her and refuses to let her go, citing that she doesn't want her investment getting hurt. Yoshi protests but Asakowhistles, which sends Narai Kaeo out to ringside to "guard" Yoshi and stop her from leaving. Finally, a replacement wrestler comes out - J*NiGHT member, Juli Tanaka!
Juli doesn't appear to be in any more mood to wrestle then Yoshi but the bell rings and they do their best to stick to ground wrestling and quick pin attempts, not wanting to really strike or slam each other after what just happened to Natalia. Asako screams at Yoshi to pick up the pace but it has no effect.Since Juli is much more experienced with technical wrestling then Yoshi, she takes the easy advantage as the match continues . Yoshi does all she can and even hits a seated, pinning variant of her "Yoshi's Tonic", with more emphasis on rolling then snap, for a 2 count. But Juli is able to tie her up in a la majistral pin for the 3 count at the 12 minute mark. The two shake hands afterwards and the crowd cheers both wrestlers for their efforts given the attack on Natalia. However, Miss Matsuki is not happy at all and grabs Yoshi by the arm, taking her backstage. Narai follows the two while punctuating Asako's words by growling.
Backstage!
We see General Celes and a tearful, shivering Jean Carter near the exit of the arena talking with the medics who are helping Natalia into the ambulance. Celes nods her head looking concerned and tries to keep Jean calm which isn't going well. Celes also seems to be having words with Genji Security over the failure of their procedures for stopping Nicole. They ignore her and walk away. Jean bursts out in tears and buries her head in Celes' shoulder, the latter looking almost as concerned about Jean as with Natalia.
Naomi/Ayame Yamato vs. Hiromi/Shino
Naomi and Ayame come out first to cheers. Naomi grabs a microphone and with as much dignity and calm as she can muster up says: "PLEASE DILECT ALL ROVE FOR NATARIA TONIGHT!" which the fans cheer in response. Hiromi and Shino come out and that causes both Naomi and Ayame to get their game faces on.
Naomi and Hiromi start off with Shino yelling directions to Hiromi throughout. Hiromi tries her power game but Naomi is too quick with her submission attempts: immediately grabbing a limb and twisting every time Hiromi tries for a slam. Hiromi gets frustrated and tags in Shino. Naomi looks scared and tags in Ayame. Now it is Shino who appears fearful. Now Ayame looks ANGRY. Shino immediately tags an unprepared Hiromi back in who then gets totally dismantled by Ayame. Within 5 minutes of unstoppable holds, both of Hiromi's arms appear to be limp and she's walking with one too. Ayame tags Naomi back in but before doing so, she runs and elbows Shino off the apron!! Shino was not expecting that at all! Naomi comes in and grabs Hiromi in a flipping jujigatame which Hiromi immediately taps out too at the 13 minute mark.
Shino looks even more upset when Keina runs out to ringside and gets into the ring. She claps for Naomi and then goes to hug her. Meanwhile Ayame watches as Shino drags Hiromi out of the ring, by her arm nonethless (OUCH!). Keina begins crying and Naomi asks why - then finds out as Keina suddenly grabs Ayame, spins her around and hits a lightning quick GO 2 KENTA!! The fans are LIVID here, booing as a still legitimately crying Keina slides out of the ring and walks backstage with SHINO! Army. Shino is laughing at the knocked out Ayame while Naomi screams for help. There aren't that many medics to go around tonight but luckily Ayame appears ok once she regains consciousness. Naomi appears absolutely shocked at what happened as she helps Ayame backstage and still mouths: "WHY KEINA DO THAT TO AYAME!?"
Tigerfly Sword vs. Valencia Cruz
Tigerfly wastes no time in peppering Valencia with an unstoppable onslaught of elbows and kicks! It's clear the Deities attack from the previous show is forefront on her mind. Cruz does her best to covers up her face while attempting to keep Sword down. An interesting strategy for Valencia given her own high flying ability but she was not prepared for Sword to come out as aggressive as she is tonight. Gabriella and Avalon come down mid match to try to distract Sword but this angers and motivates her further. Tigerfly continues the assault but finally makes a mistake by underestimating Cruz' speed and flying abilities while irish whipping her to the post face first. Cruz jumps on the post at the last second and hits a beautiful run rebound hurracaranna! However, that's all she gets as Tigerfly rolls with the momentum, runs against the opposite ropes, and smashes the kneeling Cruz with a kick to the face to get the pin at the 11 minute mark.
Gabriella gets into the ring while Avalon drags Cruz out. Gabi sits down and tells Sword to do the same thing to her, which Sword happily obliges. However, the kick has NO EFFECT and just bounces off her face. Gabi smiles and leaves the ring, telling Sword: "She's in the big leagues now, bitch." Avalon laughs as she and Gabi help a manic Valencia, who is shaking and covering her face, backstage.
Amplitude Title Tournament: Round 1
Jenna Stone vs. Gutter
Jenna comes down with a "I got AMPed on Amplitude" over size T-shirt which she takes off and gives to one of the fans. She's getting a tremendous show of support here and there are plenty of signs in the crowd that say: "Jenna Stone = New Amplitude Champion" along with "Stone Rocks Amplitude!". Gutter comes down next to a very mixed reaction but she seems to care little about the noise coming from them as much as what they look like, as she's scanning the audience very carefully. She's even a bit tentative to get into the ring. Finally, Jenna starts clapping and Gutter gets irritated enough by it to start the match!
We have two very contrasting styles and personalities here and it shows from the start. Jenna wants a test of strength, and Gutter just headbutts her. This sets the tone of the match as Gutter has no patience for anything that could allow the crowd to get behind Jenna but Jenna keeps finding a way to get them there anyway with her victory cries and combination of fast-paced power style. Power Stone style, that is. Jenna gets control through that sheer power as one slam from her short circuits Gutter's brawling momentum. Jenna begins taking control as the damage from her throws are slowing Gutter's strikes down, making them easier to block. But Gutter is never out of this match, finding every opportunity to swing it back to her advantage with quick rabbit punches. She even manages a Gutter Cleaner DDT but it's too early and Jenna kicks out at 2. However, this was enough to keep Jenna grounded a bit more and Gutter takes the advantage. A number of mounted punches keep Jenna in control and when Jenna gets to her feet and tries a press slam, Gutter rakes her eyes, rolls back onto her feet, and knees Jenna in the back, sending her outside! Jenna looks like she could be hurt here and is taking the count. Gutter looks like she finally got this match under control. She goes over to the turnbuckle to rest a bit.
Suddenly, there's a rustling in the crowd and a man in an orange jumpsuit...no wait, that's a woman! A women just hit Jenna Stone with a chair!! The ref is calling for the bell! But this doesn't look to be the end of it! Gutter looks pale and her eyes are bulging out. I don't think she's able to move. The woman comes into the ring and Gutter can't defend herself, she's absolutely frozen. And the woman kicks her in the stomach and then hits a spinebuster!! She's not done though - instead she...
Wait...whoa. What the ? This woman has started to brush Gutter's hair.
No really.
She is brushing Gutter's hair in a very...unsavory manner. Weird facial expressions and whispering to her.
Oh this isn't good, don't let the kids watch!
Eventually the woman applies a move that appears to be a modified scorpion deathlock, perhaps the Alek Lock III (to be specific). Security finally gets down to the ring but the woman doesn't break the hold until they pry her off. She then kicks them in the groin and runs out, escaping through the crowd. Celes and MJC come down to ringside to assess the damage. Celes helps Jenna up while MJC tries to help up Gutter, but is afraid to get too close to her cause Gutter keeps yelling out: "DON'T TOUCH ME! NO ONE TOUCH ME!"
... and uh, we'll be coming to you with the next Amplitude after Voltage! Hopefully with less hair brushing and chokeslamming and more legit action from the Amplitude Title tournament!
