OG-FPD 6 Year Anniversary - CHAMPIONS' NIGHT +
Six years ago I was procrastinating one night and decided to make a website for what was starting to be my own fantasy fed but didn't yet quite have any organization or direction. The website helped me do exactly that. While OG-FPD was all real life wrestlers and I had already been introduced to the world of e-feds through GWF in late 2002, the site really led to what became OG-Joshi, UBL, and yes, even LAWL.
So I count the date of the site creation as the official start of OG-FPD even though I had started posting my sims and stories earlier that fall through the LTR. Every year I like to do a little something to commemorate the date and as last year all I really did was make a post and release an edit pack, I wanted to do more this year. And I also wanted to surprise everyone. Since I literally decided on Thanksgiving weekend to do this show, it wasn't too hard to keep a secret (though I leaked a little info to Moto even though he likely didn't know what I was talking about...which probably isn't a first, LOL) but it was a bit of a crunch to get this done in two weeks. So if the matchmaking seems weird, well it is.
I started with a "Champions Night" theme just to keep things simple - have matches with all current champions of my feds and a few past ones as well as one main event with my main edits (Orochi/J.U.S.T.I.C.E). But as I often can't contain my enthusiasm AND I wanted a better paced show, I added a few more matches as well that reflected some of the last few years and bigger story lines.
Here's the catch: NONE OF THIS IS OFFICIAL!!
No story line implications here. This show DOES NOT EXIST in current e-fed kayfabe. "The characters" don't know this happened and it's not like Geese drugged them all (and himself) here either. This show just isn't "real". The main event alone should make that clear but I wanted to be as clear as possible.
I also experimented a bit with some new video effects - especially for the intros as a way to give a little background on the wrestlers, especially the champions. And I had a little fun in spots ;D
