At one point this summer, when I was working more frequently on my edit pack, I had been working on a PPV to establish it in the minds of people here at the FPC, and to introduce people to the world of Sierra Wrestling All-Stars. However, the project mostly fizzled out as I found my time occupied with school and other such endeavors. All that ever came out of it was a single match write-up, which I present here as an example of what might have been had I been more industrious. I hope it stands reasonably well on its own.
With that, we join the show in progress, as SWA commentators Alex Morgainne and Jessica Beauland prepare us for the main event of the evening. It has been a tense night, as people wonder if the injured former SWA World Champion, N-Trio, will make an appearance..

With that, we join the show in progress, as SWA commentators Alex Morgainne and Jessica Beauland prepare us for the main event of the evening. It has been a tense night, as people wonder if the injured former SWA World Champion, N-Trio, will make an appearance..
Morgainne: It's almost Main Event time here at Breakdown, and there is a positively electric energy running through these SWA fans!
Beauland: As well there should be, Morgainne. Tonight's main event has been over a year in the making!
Morgainne: Indeed it has, Jess! Let's review a bit of that history. Kyle Sieras won the SWA World Championship back at Aftermath in March, taking the title from Steel.
Beauland: You forgot to mention his great tactics in that match, Morgainne.
Morgainne: I hardly consider knocking out a referee by throwing your opponent into her "great tactics," Jess.
Beauland: See, that's the problem with you, Alex...
Morgainne: (Cutting her off) Nonetheless, Sieras has held the title continuously since Aftermath, defending it against all comers. One certainly has to admit that he has been a fighting champion!
Beauland: He's defeated a virtual laundry list of the top wrestlers in SWA, Morgainne.
Morgainne: More to the point, however, Sieras has gained a huge reputation in SWA for his questionable tactics. From instigating the SWA faction wars last year, to his hand in the current feud between Kenichi Yamada and Robert Kingston, to putting N-Trio on the shelf back in August after brutally attacking his knee with a steel chair, Sieras has gained himself few friends with his behavior. Not to mention the fact that each and every one of his title defenses has been mired in one kind of controversy or other.
Beauland: TL; DR, Morgainne! Get to the point!
Morgainne: ...Did you just use internet slang in real life?... Anyway, N-Trio has not even been heard from since his injury, and some are wondering if we'll see him again this year at all. SWA co-owners Jamie Fushichou and "Buster" Bill Raymond would have fired Kyle Sieras, but he had an iron-clad contract that made it impossible for them to fire him OR strip him of the belt. Jamie swore that he would find a way to punish Sieras, and that is what led to this No Disqualifications match against "Blackout" Blake Hudson here tonight!
Beauland: And let me tell you, Morgainne, I don't like either of the men in this match. Blake Hudson is a thug, plain and simple. And as for Sieras, I really liked him when he first came here. I thought he livened the place up. But he crossed the line when he attacked N-Trio! N-Trio is one of the founding pillars of SWA. If there was no N-Trio, there would be no SWA, and that slimy little no-good son of a...
Morgainne: I think the fans at home get the point, Jess. Enough of our talking, let's get to the match!
Main Event: Kyle Sieras vs. Blake Hudson; No Disqualifications
Kyle Sieras comes down to the ring first, holding the SWA World Championship up over his head for everyone to see. As referee Nadine Mathis moves to take the belt from him, Kyle holds out a hand to stop her, and points to the title, shouting "No one's taking this from me!" This draws heavy booing from the crowd in attendance, who from the sound of it, would like nothing better than to leap over the barricade and deal with Sieras themselves. Finally, Kyle hands the belt off to Nadine, and hunkers down in the middle of the ring, waiting for his opponent to appear.
A long moment passes, and the crowd starts to get antsy. Then, just as Kyle lets his guard down, "Blackout" Blake Hudson comes storming down to the ring, carrying a kendo stick in one hand! Seeing this, Kyle points wildly at Blake, yelling something in frantic tones at Nadine, who just shrugs in response, and mouths back "No DQ."
Kyle barely manages to duck out of the way, as Blackout hits the ring swinging. Seeing the kendo stick come whirling back around for a vertical chop at his head, he rolls out under the bottom rope. Blackout slides out after him, but Kyle gets the drop on his opponent, slamming his head off of the ring apron and shoving him back into the ring! With the kendo stick dropped on the outside and safely out of his opponent's hands, Kyle slides back in after Blackout and starts going after him with a series of closed-fist punches. Blackout responds in kind, and we have a brawl! Blackout gains the advantage with a European uppercut, and slips behind Kyle, perhaps looking for his Cross-Arm Suplex, the Short Circuit, but Kyle gets an arm free and elbows him in the face! Kyle spins around quickly and sets Blackout up for an Exploder, but Blackout nails him in the side of the head with a pair of elbows and then shoves him off!
Staredown. Kyle lunges forward, but then backs off again, taunting Blackout with a wagging finger. The challenger charges forward, hoping to press the issue, but Sieras again slides out under the bottom rope, escaping from Blackout's grasp in the nick of time. Kyle gestures for Blackout to give him some room; Blackout grudgingly complies.
Sieras slides back into the ring, his eyes nervously flitting between his opponent and the kendo stick still lying on the outside. He makes a break for it, but Blackout catches him this time, nailing him with a kick to the gut and following up with a textbook snap suplex. Blackout picks Kyle up, and again goes for the Short Circuit, but Kyle takes him to the mat with a drop toe hold. The champ works a half-crab, then transitions to a headlock. Blackout starts fighting his way to his feet, hitting a series of elbows to Kyle's ribs to loosen the hold, then hits a big clubbing blow to the back of the head to get free! More clubbing blows by Blackout, keeping up the pressure as Kyle scrambles to get away from the beating. Kick to the groin by Kyle Sieras! Blackout folds over. Referee Nadine Mathis admonishes Kyle, but he responds by mouthing "No DQ." The SWA World Champion approaches the challenger with a cocky grin on his face, but the expression disappears as Blackout pays him back with a blatant shot to the groin of his own!
Ignoring Nadine's admonishments, Blackout throws Kyle over the top rope and follows him to the outside, only to take a dropkick from the resourceful World Champion! Kyle goes for an Irish Whip, but Blackout holds on, whipping Kyle into the barricade. Blackout judges the distance, charges forward-- running cross chop knocks Kyle over the barricade and into the audience! Blackout is in his element here as he climbs over the barricade and into the audience to slug it out with Sieras. The two exchange punches; Blackout gets the upper-hand and goes to ram Kyle into the barricade again, but Kyle reverses, folding Blackout over the barricade! Kyle grabs an abandoned chair and takes it to Blackout's back, causing him to fall over the barricade and back into the ringside area. Sieras tosses the chair over into the ringside area, and is about to climb back over, when something makes him pause. Instead, he grabs onto the barricade railing with both hands, springs up-- springboard elbow drop misses as Blackout rolls out of the way! Kyle lands right on the elbow on the outside!
Kyle appears to be in some significant pain as Blackout throws him back into the ring. Blackout follows Kyle in, and grapples him from behind for a Short Circuit Suplex! Nadine Mathis slides into position to count 1... 2... Kickout!
Blackout goes to pick Sieras up, and Sieras responds with a series of shots to the gut. Kyle's face is lined with pain; he could really be hurt in there! Getting to his feet, he hits Blackout with a pair of elbows to the face, and then a leaping elbow takes Blackout off his feet! Kyle shakes out the injured arm, but nonetheless drops the elbow on Blackout, going for the cover. 1...2..Kickout!
The SWA World Champion again shakes out the injured arm. Blackout takes advantage, grabbing the arm and wrenching the elbow, then twists the arm around, and hits an elbow shot right to the joint! Kyle stumbles back, but then comes out of nowhere with a big spinning wheel kick! Kyle runs the ropes, and plants a big double knee drop on Blackout in the middle of the ring! Cover! 1...2...Kickout! Kyle follows up with a dropkick, and covers again. 1...2...Kickout again!
With a snarl, Kyle rakes his hair out of his face and begins attacking Blackout's back with clubbing forearm blows... is he using the injured arm? Sieras sets Blackout up and hits a snap suplex! That was definitely the injured arm. It was all a ruse! Kyle hits another double knee drop before sliding out under the bottom rope and going after the chair he threw in from the audience earlier. Kyle comes back into the ring, poised to dash Blackout's brains out with the chair, but instead gets the chair dropkicked into his face! Blackout with an Irish Whip to Sieras, but Sieras comes back with a leaping elbow to the face! Sieras sets up an Irish Whip of his own, but Blackout reverses, sending Kyle to the ropes. Samoan Drop off the rebound! Blackout covers for 1...2...Kickout!
Blackout takes it back to the mat with a headlock takedown, but Kyle gets out with a headscissors. Kyle with a fast arm drag, goes for the cover, but Blackout kicks out immediately. The two begin a lightning-fast exchange of holds and pin attempts, as referee Nadine Mathis scrambles to keep up with it all. Hammerlocks to headlocks, roll-ups to arm-bars, nothing finds purchase as the two scramble across the mat, each looking to hook in something and make it stick, but being defeated every time. Blackout finally manages to cinch in a keylock. Kyle scrambles, kicking his legs out toward the ropes, and actually wraps his feet around the bottom rope! Seeing this, Blackout breaks the hold. With the speed of a viper, Kyle Sieras springs to his feet and hits Blackout with an Exploder! Blackout goes flying into Nadine, who was still in the way from trying to keep up with the earlier pin exchange! The ref is down! Blackout is down! With a jackal-like grin, Kyle goes back toward the chair...
But wait! What's this? Someone has come out of the crowd and jumped the barricade! IT'S N-TRIO! The former SWA World Champion, and the man that Kyle Sieras put on the shelf back in August slides into the ring and starts raining punching on Sieras! A big haymaker takes Sieras down! N-Trio grabs the chair still sitting in the ring and drops it next to Kyle's unconscious body. He picks Kyle up... puts him in the double underhook... N-GAGE! THE N-GAGE DROPS KYLE SIERAS' HEAD RIGHT ON THE STEEL CHAIR! Misawa would be proud. Or disgusted. One of the two. N-Trio grins sadistically, and stomps once on the back of Kyle's head before rolling back out of the ring and disappearing into the crowd.
Blackout, apparently unaware of what just happened, is finally coming to his hands and knees. Seeing Sieras down, Blackout doesn't waste time asking questions; he rolls Kyle over for the pin. Nadine drags herself into position, hand over hand, and counts 1....2....Kyle gets the shoulder up! Somehow, Kyle Sieras manages to get a shoulder up off the mat! Still looking punch-drunk, Kyle slowly rises up from the mat, hitting some feeble-looking punches on Blackout to keep him back. Kyle sets up a vertical suplex position, possibly going for the Sieras Dust, but Blackout has the wherewithal to float over! Blackout with a kick to the gut, he sets up Sieras up on his shoulder, and manages to hit the Rolling Blackout! An exhausted looking Blackout hooks the leg as Nadine counts 1...2...3! It's over! We have a new SWA World Champion! Blackout celebrates with his hard-won SWA World Championship belt as we go off the air!
