*Amplitude starts in the same "studio" room as from
the last two episodes."Mean" Jean Carter runs into the
camera view from the right side of the screen, skids a
bit as she stops, and waves and smiles.
MJC: "Hi everyone! Welcome to OG-Joshi Amplitude!
I'm your new host, Jean Carter, and I'd like
to thank both General Celes and OrochiGeese
for appointing me as the new host here!"
MJC: "But enough about me, as we have a great show
lined up for you all following the huge Limit
Break PPV from a few weeks ago! Check it out!
*The camera pans to the AmpliTV as we see 4 matches listed*
-- Shino vs. DARKNESS! Diva --
-- Keina vs. Kristin Blade --
-- Jenna Stone/Tigress Mask vs. Patty Sirloin/Yoyo Banzai--
-- Jenny McLanahan vs. Azumi Oonishi--
MJC: "What a main event, huh!? HAWT*Wing vs. J*NiGHT
members converge in a battle to uh, prove who's
not going to lose tonight! One for the ages!"
MJC: "But let's get to the first match as DARKNESS!
Diva takes on the newest in-ring member of the
ever-so-calm KENTA! Army, Shino!! She came to
berate KENTA! at the end of her Limit Break
match with Eris Byrne. Shino appears ready
to wrest control of the KENTA! Army from Keina
and make them victorious aga...well, for once."
MJC: "DARKNESS! Diva...wow, its hard saying a word
with all capital letters, you have to really
emphasize EACH letter...is looking to get her
first win in what seems like ages! Can she
do it against Shino, who's experience level
is simply not known? Let's find out!"
Match #1: Shino vs. DARKNESS! Diva
Both competitors are already in the ring as the
match starts. Shino acts a LOT differenly then her
KENTA! Army counterparts. She's moving more calmly
and has barely uttered an audible sound. She also
appears to be attempting to grab onto Diva's limbs,
especially her arms. Diva, expecting a lot more of
a quick/aerial-based offence from a KENTA! Army
member, is having trouble adjusting to Shino working
her arm early on with a lot of impressive and technical
moves. Diva finally gets a breather after she kicks
out Shino's leg...only to get pulled into a jujigatame
as she attempts to grab Shino's leg for a figure four!
Shino really has that jujigatame cinched in tightly but
Diva manages to reach the ropes to break the hold. But
the damage is done. Shino continues to work on Diva's
arm but also adds in some neck based offence including
a nice looking arm wringer into an STO which she gets
a close 2.9 out of! Diva scrambles to get out of the
ring but Shino grabs onto her leg, dragging her into
the middle of the ring, and then launching a kneedrop
onto Diva's neck! Ouch! Shino then goes into the
corner and waits for Diva to get up...Diva gets to
her knee...Shino starts running! Shiiiining Triaaangle!!
Diva is locked tightly inside Shino's legs, to the
visual delight of many fans, and finally taps out!
Shino (O) ["Shining Squeeze" - 8:40] (X) DARKNESS! Diva
*The rest of KENTA! Army run in to celebrate their
group's first victory! (though for THEM, putting on
their clothes is a small triumph) Shino remains
stoically in the ring and is then handed a microphone.
She has a rather deep voice for a female but it is
passionate and the other three are very attentive*
Shino: "THERE! That is what it takes to honor our
KENTA! That is how to LOVE him! To bring
him glory by beating our opponents! Making
them submit to HIS will! Keina!!"
Keina: "YES?"
Shino: "Now you must win your match for KENTA!"
Keina: "I ARWAYS TRY MY BEST FOR KENTA, SHINOOOOO!"
Shino: *grunts* That is not good enough for
KENTA!! Not just try best, you must WIN!"
Keina: "I WILL BEAT KLISTIN BRADE! FOR KENTA, I WILL!"
Naomi: "GOOD RUCK KEINA, I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!"
Hiromi: "WE WILL ALL WATCH U FROM OUTSIDE THE RING!"
*As Shino, Naomi, and Hiromi go to the outside,
Kristin Blade comes out and gets into the ring to
start the next match. Keina tries to shake her hand
but its not accepted and Shino yells for Keina to
focus on winning for KENTA, not making friends.*
Match #2: Keina vs. Kristin Blade
Poor Keina, she was just simply outclassed in this
match. Kristin Blade dominated her throughout with
a variety of suplexes, backdrops, and basically
everything Kristin cared to utilize. Keina did
manage to get in some of her very fast kicks,
but not before being taken down to the ground with
a backdrop after a more risky high kick was ducked.
Kristin started hitting bigger moves, dipping into
her impressive array of german suplexes. She hit
a high speed one but Keina was able to kick out
at the 2.9 mark. This is when Naomi started to
get concerned and started cheering for Keina.
The support gave Keina a boost as she then managed
to connect with some crisp strikes including a
snapping elbow followed by a high kick. She
followed up with a snap suplex and then a double
arm suplex as the crowd started getting behind her.
Naomi got the crowd further into things by clapping
but then Shino suddenly quieted her down so that
"Keina could focus." Naomi looked sad but obeyed
Shino. Ironically, or perhaps by design, Keina became
confused by the sudden crowd silence and the Naomi/Shino
dialogue, allowing Kristin to take advantage with a
running twisting hurracarana pin...but only for a 2.9.
Still, the distraction had halted Keina's momentum
and Kristin finished the match soon after with a
beautiful looking bridging german suplex for the win.
Kristin Blade (O) [Bridging German Suplex - 10:25] (X) Keina
*Kristin did not appear very winded or hurt
from the match and jogged back to a smattering
of cheers. She seems to be gaining the respect
of the fans but they still don't know where she
stands in relation to her fellow wrestlers. She
seems content to come in and wrestle at her best
however, and that is enough to gain respect here.
Meanwhile, the other three members of KENTA!
Army roll into the ring. (specifically, Naomi
and Hiromi roll, Shino chooses to get up on
the apron and walk in). Naomi tries to console
Keina but Shino begins scolding them both.
However, there is no microphone this time so
we're left to try to read lips..which is
EXCEEDINGLY hard for a text based show. But
it is clear that Shino was not happy that
Keina lost, and Keina is not happy that
Shino is scolding her. Hiromi appears to
be watching it all while Naomi stands near
Keina with her head down feeling sad. The
four members leave the ring and we go back
to the studio where an eager Jean Carter waits.*
MJC: "Looks like some rocky waters ahead for the
KENTA! Army vessel! Is Shino just the
'kick in the pants' that they need or
if she a power hungry despot HELL BENT
on power! Probably somewhere in between!"
MJC: "In any case, we're halfway through the
show! But we have two big matches left.
The next one is a tag match involving
three OG-Joshi veterans and one of the
most charismatic new additions to our
roster, Jenna Stone! She joins up with
Tigress Mask to take on Patty Sirloin
and Yoyo Banzai. Patty and Jenna have
not seen eye to eye recently, already
having had two matches which Jenna has
won. So it's safe to say that Patty
Sirloin has "beef" with Jenna!!"
*There is utter silence aside from some coughing and
a tumbleweed passing by...an odd sighting for NYC*
MJC: "Fine! Don't laugh at the funny joke!"
MJC: "Ahem...we'll see if Patty can turn up
the heat...*waits and then sighs*
OK, I GET IT, YOU DON'T LIKE THE PUNS!"
MJC: "Let's just get to the match and see if
Jenna once again tenderizes Patty."
*Jean sticks her tongue out and we go to the ring*
Match #3: Jenna Stone/Tigress Mask vs. Patty Sirloin/Yoyo Banzai
Jenna starts off the match against Yoyo and
throws her around with EASE. The fans are
going nuts as Jenna matches speed with Yoyo
while getting the edge on power with such
moves such as bodyslams, press slams, and
even a flying lariat after an irish whip.
These fans are taking a shining to this
young and upbeat Jenna Stone for sure!
But Yoyo Banzai is not outmatched when it
comes to tactics, and she proves that by
managing to rake Jenna's eyes and then
uses a knee joint kick to take her leg
out. She then drags Jenna over to the
corner and quickly tags Patty Sirloin
who delivers an elbow drop to the prone
leg of Jenna. Patty is now the legal
woman and begins working on Jenna's leg
and back with a more aggressive streak
then we've ever seen her have before. She's
really roughing Jenna up on the ground
with elbow drops and stomps. So much so
that even Tigress Mask gets into the ring
to get the referee (Coach McGuirk) to do
something about it, although this just
backfires as it causes a momentary
distraction long enough for Yoyo Banzai
to sneak into the ring for some illegal
double teaming. Patty continues her
assault on her new rival with a powerslam
good for an early 2.9. But she then makes
the colossal mistake of posing, which
allows Jenna to connect with a HUGE
360 lariat out of nowhere! She then makes
the tag to Tigress Mask, prompting Patty
Sirloin to do the same with Yoyo.
Tigress takes early control against Yoyo
on the ground from the top mount position with
jujigatames and other submission attempts.
After numerous rope breaks and failed attempts
at offence, Yoyo has enough and tags in Patty
who was immediately taken to the ground by
Tigress. But in a herculean display of
strength, Patty fought out of a jujigatame
by lifting Tigress up onto her shoulders
and then dropping her neck first against
the ropes!! OUCH! Patty tags in Yoyo who
goes to work on Tigress' neck with a
number of swinging neck breakers and other
neck-related moves in her arsenal! Hence
why Patty tagged her in! Yoyo's an expert
at necking! Wait..no, that came out wrong.
Yoyo keeps working that neck until she makes
a rare mistake - and by that I mean she didn't
anticipate Jenna Stone DIVING into the ring
onto Yoyo from seemingly out of nowhere
(i.e. the ring apron) to give Tigress time to
recover. Jenna quickly runs back to her
side of the apron and waits as Tigress
hits Yoyo with a spinning kick and then
tags in Jenna! And Jenna is a house of
fire-works as she explodes all over Yoyo,
causing Patty to get into the ring illegally
but to no avail! Jenna Stone is taking on
both women singlehandledly with lariats,
punches, throws, tax law, the works! But
as she's about to lift up Patty, Yoyo
comes up from behind and CLIPS Jenna's
leg!! OUCH! Jenna crumbles in a heap with
Patty on top of her! More damage is done
to Jenna's leg that was worked on earlier
in the match! The referee sends Patty back
to her corner as Yoyo then slaps on her
inverted figure four. But she's close
enough to Patty to tag her in! What's this?
Patty is going up top and Jenna is still
trapped in Yoyo's figure four! Patty dives
off the top turnbuckle onto a defenseless
Jenna and covers her for the 1..2..3 as
Yoyo gets up in time to fend off Tigress!
Patty and Yoyo have worked together to
hand Jenna her first loss in a strategy
apparently engineered by Patty Sirloin!
Patty gets a measure of revenge but it
took BOTH Patty and Yoyo to keep Jenna down!
Yoyo/Patty(O) [Top rope splash - 18:00] (X) Jenna Stone/Tigress Mask
*Tigress fights both Yoyo and Patty out
of the ring as she goes to check on Jenna.
Her leg is a bit tweaked and the breath was
taken out of her, but she seems ok. However,
she is looking intently at Patty who is
broadly smiling and taunting her from the
stage area as the fans boo her and chant
vehemently in favor of Jenna Stone who
acknowledges them by blowing them kisses! We
thengo back to the studio with Jean Carter.*
MJC: "Looks like We still have a lot of
chapters left of this "Iron Chef"
battle between Sirloin and Stone!"
*Off-camera groans are heard*
MJC: "We come now to the main event as
Jenny McLanahan of J*NiGHT takes
on one half of the OG-Joshi World
Champions and a member of HAWT*Wing,
Azumi Oonishi. This is the first
one on one encounter between the
two but not the first time they've
wrestled. As we know, Azumi and Dizzy
defeated Jenny and Kaori NiGHT
back at the 12/13 PPV for the
OG-Joshi Tag Team Titles. And
at the Limit Break PPV, Azumi
and Dizzy defended their Titles
successfully against Kaori and
Juli Tanaka while Jenny came
within a hair of beating Holly
for the OG-Joshi World Title."
MJC: "Furthermore, *breathes*
General Celes has mentioned that
the next stretch of shows leading
up to the next 12/13 PPV on...uh..
*blushes* December 13th
of THIS year...will decide whether
or not Jenny and Kaori get a Title
rematch. So it is IMPERATIVE that
Jenny McLanahan look as impressive
as possible in tonight's match and
shakes off the loss from Limit Break.
Just as it is important for her
and Kaori to do the best they can
on the next few months worth of
shows to get another chance to
wrestle for the Tag Titles. So
many words! How does Clyde do it!?"
MJC: "As for Azumi, beating Jenny would
be the highest profile singles
victory she would have in OG-Joshi
so far. She has had incredible
tag performances with Dizzy ever
since last year's Tag Title
Tournament, but the last big
singles win she had was against
Yoyo Banzai back in 2006. So
it would be an impressive feat
to defeat the previous #1
contender, and a woman who
General Celes sees as one of the
best here, Jenny McLanahan. So
let's get to this match right NOW!"
Match #4: Azumi Oonishi vs. Jenny McLanahan
Both women are less cordial with each
other then usual due to what happened
at the end of Limit Break, and the match
starts off with some pent up aggression
being released immediately as they begin
laying into each other with chops! Neither
one holds back as they actually start
shouting their grievances with each other
in the midst of the fierce chopping battle!
Jenny: "You knocked me off the ramp!"
*chop*
Azumi: "It was an accident!"
*chop*
Jenny: "And it wouldn't have happened if you
and Dizzy had Alicia Gordon under control!"
*chop*
Azumi: "That wasnt our fault!"
*chop*
Jenny: "You need to get Leesh on a LEASH!"
*chop*
Azumi: "That's not as funny as you think!"
*chop*
Jenny: "Yes it is!"
*chop*
Azumi: "These chops hurt, let's stop and move on!"
*chop*
Jenny winces as they then transition into a series
of armdrags...literally a SERIES as neither breaks
contact once they are armdragged leading to what
looks like a human SLINKY going across the ring.
This finally stops as one of them (let's just
say, for the purposes of this write-up, Azumi) gets
tangled in the ropes. Jenny then takes control with
a number of wear down stretches from her arsenal
of impressive wear down stretches! Azumi finally
breaks free and goes into her aerial game with
some flying clotheslines, well placed front
dropkicks (targetting just the spot on Jenny
to send her off balance), and then attempts
to run off the ropes and hit a flying headscissors.
But Jenny is also well versed in the aerial game
and knows just when to capitalize on Azumi's
momentum, turning it against her by stepping
into her running path early to cut her off with
a deep armdrag. Jenny then follows up with a
beautiful flipping dropkick and it looks like
she's finaly managed to get some meaningful
control over Azumi. She goes back to her
submission ground game as its a strength that
she has that Azumi really doesn't, as opposed
to her aerial/lucha abilities which Azumi is
about equal in. Jenny begins to stretch out
Azumi's head and neck with various lucha
twistybread submissions such as the dreaded
"jalapenohajime" and "Chimichangatame" -
two moves so incredibly complicated that they
are impossible to accurately convey via mere
words. (legend has it that former McPro wrestler
Taco John/Taco Mask taught her those moves!)
Suffice to say, at least half of the
audience went cross-eyed trying to watch
Jenny apply those moves, and the other half
were only saved by their ogling of her body
rather then watching her precise movements.
Azumi was only saved by her grit and her
tenacity. AND her ability to use those
to survive as she inched her way to the
ropes. But as soon as she'd free herself,
Jenny would just apply another complicated
submission, frustrating Azumi to no end.
Well, that's not true - an end came when
Azumi managed to slide under Jenny's legs,
after Jenny pulled Azumi away from the
ropes, and dropkicked Jenny from behind,
causing her to land on the ropes! And
Azumi does a quick version of Dizzy's
"619" type move, only without the initial
rope rebound run. Dizzy must have taught
it to her via tag teaming and Azumi was
crafty enough to adopt it to this situation!
Applied knowledge is ALL that seperates
us from the primates, people! Celebrate it!
Azumi then goes on a huge run of momentum,
managing to hit some of the more powerful
moves in her arsenal like the swinging
slam and a swinging backdrop. Azumi then
goes up top and hits a diving legdrop.
She covers but only gets a 2.9 count. She
then paces herself a bit more with a
number of swinging neckbreakers (She's
a swinger! ...wait) until she can build
up the energy to go for another big move
to try to put Jenny away. She goes up
top again...only to get caught! Jenny
was playing possum and ran up the top
rope and hits Azumi with a beautiful
diving frankensteiner! A move made
even more impressive by the surprise
factor and the quick run up the ropes!
Jenny then locks in the Cattle Mutilation,
just as she did against Alicia Gordon
after the frankensteiner, and Azumi
has nowhere to go! She tries twisting
out of it but Jenny has a firm hold
on her! Finally, Azumi realizes she is
caught and taps out! Jenny McLanahan
has won this highly competitive match!!
Jenny McLanahan(O) [Cattle Mutilation - 15:45] (X) Azumi Oonishi
*Post-match, Jenny goes over to Azumi and
helps her up. She shakes her hand and talks
softly to her, apparently trying to make
peace but explaining to her that she isn't
happy with the problems Alicia Gordon
is causing between the two factions of
HAWT*Wing and J*NiGHT. Azumi does not
know what to say, and she looks down and
nods...somewhat in humility, somewhat in
agreement, somewhat in disappointment
that she lost, but also a bit annoyed that
Jenny is lecturing her and criticizing
her friend Alicia. Azumi then bows and
then quickly gets out of the ring despite
not allowing Jenny to finish what she
has to say. Jenny scowls a bit but then
begins to celebrate her victory as the
fans congratulate her via chants and cheers!
We go back to the studio with Jean.*
MJC: "Well now, that was quite a match!
We'll see how it factors into
General Celes' decision making.
Jenny seemed to have picked up a
few new tricks too, and also may
have utilized the "possum" strategy
that Holly used against her at
Limit Break. The sign of a great
wrestler is learning from losses
and using what you learned to win
future matches! Jenny did just that!"
MJC: "Thank you fans for joining us for
yet another edition of Amplitude.
We'll be coming to you next month
in early July and then Voltage
will return in mid August. See
ya soon everyone, enjoy the summer!"
*Fin*
