OG-Joshi Tag Team Championship Tournament Qualifying Show

September 10th, 2006




Mr. Clyde: "Hello and welcome to a night of tag team
action. Four teams will compete for two
spots in the upcoming OG-Joshi Tag Team
Championship Tournament starting next week."

Mr. Figaro: "The two teams that lose will be escorted
out of the arena and into my limo.."

Mr. Clyde: "General Celes has already posted the rest
of the teams in the tournament."

Mr. Figaro: "That's a scrumptious tournament!"

Mr. Clyde: "Tonight we will feature three matches.
The debuting Angelica Hyde will face
Sandy Morton. With Angelica being picked
as Kat Black's tag team partner, General
Celes wanted to give her an opportunity
to show the world WHY she was chosen."

Mr. Figaro: "OBVIOUSLY, it was because "Hyde" rhymes
with "Clyde!" And you, Kat, and Angelica
have been having steamy ninja threesomes.."

Mr. Clyde: "The other two matches on the show are
the tag team qualifiers. KENTA! Army
will face off against the debuting
Reed Sisters, Melody and Harmony. They
were to enter OG-Joshi before Celes had
formally announced the tournament.
So due to the fact they are indeed
a tag team, Celes has allowed them
to compete for the chance to enter
the tag tournament. And seeing as
how KENTA! Army is also rather new..."

Mr. Figaro: "So young and fresh, Clyde!"

Mr. Clyde: "Due to that fact, Celes felt it best
for these two tag teams to compete
against each other to earn a spot
in the Tag Team Championship Tournament."

Mr. Figaro: "Save some commentary for later, Clyde!"

Mr. Clyde: "And our main event for the show is our
second qualifying match of the night.
Jo Ryder and a partner of her choosing
faces off with Haley Cannon and a partner
of her choosing. General Celes has been
very tight lipped about this..."

Mr. Figaro: "Not as tight lipped as KENTA! Army!"


*The broadcast gets interrupted with a "technical difficulties"
sign put up in its place. When we come back we see Mr. Clyde
scolding Mr. Figaro about his past comments.*


Mr. Figaro: "Fine, fine...damn uptight network.
And speaking once AGAIN of tight..."


*Mr. Clyde motions for Figaro to stop right there*


Mr. Clyde: "As I was saying, General Celes has been
very ti...secretive about her reasoning
behind making this match. All we know is
that she is doing it to affect OG-Joshi
Champion Holly's performance in this
tournament, for better or worse."

Mr. Figaro: "All she did say was that she was putting
Haley and Jo in a match against each other
for two reasons. One reason was to give
them a chance to further settle their
competitive desires against each other.
And the other reason was to give one of
them a chance to even the score with
Holly in the next round of the tournament."

Mr. Clyde: "So with that introduction to tonight's
show, let's get to our first match.
KENTA! Army squares off against the
Reed Sisters. We do not know very
much about Melody and Harmony Reed,
but we certainly know TOO much about
the KENTA! Army...especially after
some new information was given to us
about their rather "graphic" move names."

Mr. Figaro: "You think I could talk Hiromi into renaming
her move to "OPEN MY HATCH FOR FIGARO!?"

Mr. Clyde: "I think even TRYING to do so would constitute
some kind of bizarre sexual felony."

Mr. Figaro: "That wasn't my question, Clyde!"

Mr. Clyde: "KENTA! Army made their in ring debut during
the previous Voltage as they defeated
Lisa Robinson and Diva..."

Mr. Figaro: "DARKNESS Diva is what she wants to be
called now, Clyde! DARKNESS! She's
evil now...evil and slutty...hopefully."

Mr. Clyde: "In any case, KENTA! Army won as Naomi
took the match with her Tiger Driver."

Mr. Figaro: "Naomi is the one who has the "Tummy
Butterfly" finisher right?"

*Mr. Figaro smiles in an inappropriate manner*

Mr. Clyde: "Naomi is the one who had some problems
after that match as she got.."

Mr. Figaro: "Totally busted open like it was her first..

Mr. Clyde: "FIGARO! Do we have to stop the show again?"

Mr. Figaro; "Sorry...well, not really..."

Mr. Clyde: "KENTA! Army wants to win this tournament
for KENTA...presumably. And while they
seemed a bit slopp *reconsiders language
on account of Figaro*...unrefined in the
ring, they also showed us how talented
and athletically gifted they are."

Mr. Figaro: "They look a little lost though, a little
naive and confused...as if they need a big
strong man to show them the way."

Mr. Clyde: "I think they only want KENTA! to do that."

Mr. Figaro: "I'm three times the size of KENTA!..."

Mr. Clyde: "Let's change the subject as we are in
bad position to be taken off the air
tonight before we even GET to our first
match...thanks to Mr. Figaro turning
his "commentary" up a few notches."

Mr. Figaro: "You and I BOTH know there's no way
we're getting thrown off the air as
long as Geese practically owns these
air waves!! Let's hear it for
corporate power and unaccountability!"

Mr. Clyde: "Hip hip..."

Mr. Figaro: "HOORAY!"

Mr. Clyde: "I'd be careful though...as there have been
a lot of problems with the airwaves this
weekend after some sort of attempted media takeover.

Mr. Figaro: "Damn "liberal media" will stage anything as
a plot to try to shut down my voice of freedom!"

Mr. Clyde: "I see. Now, as I was saying, we are also
about to watch the debut of the Reed Sisters.
General Celes has told me that these
two women seem very dedicated and focused
on professional wrestling. But all of these
are only empty words until we see them in
the ring. And that is what we are now
going to do. Here is the first match of
tonight and, technically, the Tournament."

Mr. Clyde: "And the debuting Reed Sisters pull out a
very impressive victory. against KENTA! Army."

Mr. Figaro: "Heh heh...that's not the ONLY thing "pulled
out" during a KENTA! Army match... *zip*

Mr. Figaro: "Poor KENTA! Army. Not to say I didn't love
watching young Keina get stretched the
f*ck out by Harmony though!"

Mr. Clyde: "What Mr. Figaro is trying to embellish,
via sexual euphemism, is the fact that
Harmony made Keina tap out to a very
well applied surfboard stretch. I'm
told that both Reed sisters are well
versed in submissions. Not only did
Harmony apply that move well, but she
transitioned perfectly into it after
countering Keina. It was a very
impressive in ring display by both
Reed Sisters as we got a feel of
each women's specific skills. Melody
had some strong suplex offence mixed
in with a smart mat based technical
style. Harmony had a bit more strike
oriented and speed-based offence but
still has technical and submission
ability to anchor her moveset."

Mr. Figaro: "And Keina and Naomi are in dire
need of someone to cheer them up!"

Mr. Clyde: "KENTA! Army looked like they were
out of it towards the beginning
but actually made a very impressive
comeback. Though they were not
able to capitalize on it with a
win, we did get to see more of
their ability. They did not work
as well together as the Reed
Sisters did and that is so
important in tag team competition."

Mr. Figaro: "Agreed. Keina and Naomi are going
to have to work harder on their
"LET'S LOVE KENTA! TOGETHER" mission."

Mr. Clyde: "This was a very exciting and competitive
match, however, and it should be a
sign to come for the level of action
we will see in this tournament."

Mr. Clyde: "As mentioned before, Angelica Hyde has been
chosen by Kat Black to be her partner in
the Tag tournament. They wrestled together
in Dragon Isle Joshi and have recently
caught up with each other at the LAWL
Summer SpectacuLAWLer. They formed an
alliance there with Alicia Gordon and
Marie Reyes against the forces of LMAO."

Mr. Figaro: "So are you cool with Kat going out on
the town with Angelica and "the girls"
or do you get jealous and make her call
in every hour to report on her night?"

Mr. Clyde: "..."

Mr. Figaro: "Ahh its ok Clyde, it's romantic that
you get jealous when she goes out!"

Mr. Clyde: "Angelica Hyde is up against the
seemingly hopeless, Sandy Morton.
The less said about where she has
been in her past, the better."

Mr. Figaro: "Better rhymes with cheddar, and
that makes me think of cheese
burgers, which makes me think
of a Patty Sirloin burger."

Mr. Clyde: "What does THAT make you think of?"

Mr. Figaro: "Something that will get us off
the air for another 10 minutes...
and a request for a cleaning crew."

Mr. Clyde: "Simple enough...Angelica Hyde imposed her
will and ability on a vulnerable and
confused Sandy Morton. Angelica Hyde
showed off some very impressive moves
in this match and completely overwhelmed
Sandy. Angelica is very quick and highly
adept in aerial maneuvers as well as ground
based technical wrestling. Her team with
Kat Black should be a very formidable one
in the Tag Championship Tournament."

Mr. Figaro: "Wow, did you just say "formidable"...you're
totally hot for both of them! you REALLY want
to do both of them at the same time...again!"

*Mr. Clyde groans but does his best to continue*


Mr. Clyde: "While Angelica won with a very quick and
debilitating pinning maneuver, she also
gave us a glimpse of her finisher, the
"Halo Bomb," a move very similar to Dizzy's
"Spin Cycle". Seeing how Kat and Angelica
are set to face Azumi and Dizzy in the
first round of the tournament, it will
be interesting to see that same move
potentially used against Dizzy or Angelica."

Mr. Figaro: "I can think of SO many MORE interesting
thoughts involving those four girls..."

Mr. Clyde: "Very impressive debut for Angelica, I
think she now holds the record for
beating Sandy Morton the fastest."

Mr. Figaro: "That's great..but tell me more about
Angelica, will you! Like...specifically,
what does Angelica have to "hide?"

Mr. Clyde: "Her name is spelled with a "y"...H-Y-D-E"

Mr. Figaro: "You take the fun out of everything!! I
just wanted to know if you played
"Hide the ninja sword" with her and Kat!"

Mr. Clyde: "The sad thing is that any attempt at
threatening you with a sword now will
just be turned into another innuendo."

*Mr. Figaro laughs* "You are powerless to stop me! MWA HAHA!"

Mr. Clyde: "And it is now time for our main event.
I am excited to find out who Haley and
Jo pick as their tag team partners."

Mr. Figaro: "I have my guesses..."

Mr. Clyde: "No you don't."

Mr. Figaro: "Ok, you got me...I was just gonna
say Patty Sirloin and Kim Cross."

Mr. Clyde: "I don't think Haley or Jo have
any association whatsoever with
those two...only YOU do."

Mr. Figaro: "Yeah, so?"

Mr. Clyde: "The reasons for this match are, as
we said before, two fold. After
the main event of OG-Joshi Unleashed,
the fans have been clamoring to see
Haley and Jo face off in the ring
again. The fans were not the only
ones as both General Celes and
OrochiGeese, along with myself,
wanted to see them in another
encounter. At Unleashed, Jo was
able to pin Haley with an elevated
german suplex to eliminate her
from the match, thereby costing
her the OG-Joshi Championship.
Though it was Holly that ended
up winning the match and claiming
that very Title after beating Jo
with the "Loser's Lunch."

Mr. Figaro: "Ok, so Haley and Jo want to face
off against each other again. Why
not just put them in a singles
match or a lap dance competition?"

Mr. Clyde: "Because they ALSO wanted to face
off with Holly again. And since
Celes had just announced the
Tag Team Championship Tournament,
she naturally wanted three of the
best OG-Joshi wrestlers to be in
it. So she devised a plan where
Haley and Jo's team could face off
in this round and then the winning
team would get to face Holly and
a partner that Celes chooses for her."

Mr. Figaro: "Taking a shot in the dark here, but
I'm guessing Holly won't be happy
with the person Celes chooses for
her, and this is a way for Jo or
Haley to get some revenge on Holly."

Mr. Clyde: "That's the most rational thing
you've said all night."

Mr. Figaro: "That won't do! Quick, I gotta say
something ridiculous!! Um, hey
Kim Cross, want some Figgy Pudding!?"

Mr. Clyde: "eeeew."

Mr. Figaro: "I feel better now." *Figaro deeply exhales*

Mr. Clyde: "So the winner of this next tag match
will go onto face Holly and her partner,
as well as get the chance to advance
in this prestigious Tag Tournament to
continue to compete for the Tag Titles."

Mr. Figaro: "All that's left now is to find out
who the hell Jo and Haley have chosen!"

Mr. Clyde: "And we are about to get to that now."



*"Fly From The Inside," by Shinedown hits the speakers as
Jo Ryder comes out to ringside to thunderous applause.*


Mr. Figaro: "ooooh, this is so exciting!!"


*Jo Ryder stands there, smiling, and then lowers her hand
as her music shuts off. Two seconds later we hear new
music...that of "Black Bullet" from the Kidney Thieves*


Mr. Clyde: "That's Visper Karr's music!"

Mr. Figaro: "VISPER KARR IS DEEP THROAT!"

Mr. Clyde: "Don't follow up on that train of thought."


*Visper Karr comes out to ringside, high fives Jo Ryder
and the two of them walk to ringside together.*


Mr. Figaro: "This marks the second time in Visper's
OG-Joshi career that she has been
hand-picked by her partner! First
time was at the Emergence PPV when
Tigress Mask chose her to face Kaori
NiGHT and Jenny McLanahan. And Visper
was surely an ASSet that night."

Mr. Clyde: "Visper Karr has had amazing momentum
as of late, picking up a huge victory
at the Unleashed PPV over Yoyo Banzai."

Mr. Figaro: "And aside from just being very impressed
with Visper, Jo has history with her too."

Mr. Clyde: "Jo Ryder had a large hand in training
Visper Karr in professional wrestling,
as did Jo's cousin, the PW-W UWH
Champion, Twinky McLanahan. So Jo and
Visper certainly travel in similar circles."

Mr. Figaro: "And they certainly have plenty of experience
working together in the wrestling ring."

Mr. Clyde: "Not to mention they are undisputably two
of OG-Joshi's biggest stars and best
wrestlers in the entire world."

Mr. Figaro: "That isn't an exaggeration either, folks.
Here you have Jo Ryder and Visper Karr,
two women that could easily make it to
the finals of this tournament based
on their superior in ring wrestling
prowess. Not to mention their resiliency
and passion for this sport."

Mr. Clyde: "Haley Cannon better have an equalizer
here or else she's in big trouble."


*"Mouret" by Rondeau hits as Haley Cannon comes out
to the ring...and she wastes no time in showing who her
partner is as, immediately after Haley walks through the
ring curtain, she is followed by...*

Mr. Figaro: "VALERIYAH BELIKOV!"

Mr. Clyde: "And Haley Cannon has indeed picked
a partner of equal merit to Visper
Karr. We are in for an amazing
wrestling match here, folks. The
pure wrestling skills of Jo and
Visper vs. the mixed martial arts
skills of Haley and sambo of Valeriyah."

Mr. Figaro: "Haley and Valeriyah are another team
that can no doubt make it to the finals."

Mr. Clyde: "We first heard of Valeriyah Belikov
earlier this year during Haley Cannon's
World Tour. Valeriyah was the first
woman on that world tour to give Haley
some serious competition...so serious
that the two battled to a 30 minute
draw. That prompted Haley to extend
to Valeriyah another Title shot in the
spirit of competition. And at OG-Joshi
Emergence, Haley and Valeriyah fought
valiantly against each other for over
15 minutes. It was one of the best
shoot style wrestling matches I have
ever seen and showed the resiliency
of both women. Haley finally won with
her Dragon Clutch but it was clear that
Valeriyah had pushed her to the limit
and won the respect of OG-Joshi in return."

Mr. Figaro: "And here Valeriyah is, in her first OG-Joshi
match back since January. And this time
she is teaming WITH Haley to create a very
powerful unit to try to enter the tournament.
A team that has certainly got to be making
Holly very uneasy right about now."

Mr. Clyde: "You want to talk about uneasy...keep in
mind that we are EXACTLY one year removed
from one of the best OG-Joshi matches in
our history: The Holly/Jo Ryder match of
September 10th, 2005 where Jo Ryder made
Holly tap out to the Ryder Crossface. So
Holly, despite her past victories over
Jo in the last year, is never fully
comfortable having to be in the ring
with her...especially considering all
the emotions due to their past. But now
you also add Visper Karr into the equation
of someone Holly might have to face at
the same time. Visper Karr actually
defeated Holly last year in McPro for
the esteemed Globally Honored Pants."

Mr. Figaro: "So basically, with it being clear that
General Celes is NOT going to pick a
partner for Holly that is the apex of
wrestling skill....and it being clear
that Holly will have to face one of these
two teams...well, Holly's in trouble."

Mr. Clyde: "Holly....start your scheming NOW, cause
I think Celes just got one over you."

Mr. Figaro: "Eek..."

Mr. Clyde: "But what we all have to realize is that
both of these teams are not just looking
at Holly...they are looking at each other
and they are looking at those OG-Joshi
Tag Team Championship belts. And we have
4 women here who have all held impressive
championships in their careers and are no
stranger to victory and gold. I don't
think either of these teams has the
advantage over each other in skill and
in ring effectiveness. But what I DO
think is that the winner of this match
may well be one of the favorites in the
entire tournament once they get past
this round. The only setback being that
they will have had to get through THIS
likely grueling match first."

Mr. Figaro: "Both teams are involved in a stare down
now, with Haley looking very intently
at Jo Ryder. You know Haley didn't
forget what happened at Unleashed."

Mr. Clyde: "No, but I don't think she holds a
grudge. From hearing all she had to
say before that match, as well as
all we have seen from her in the last
year, we know that Haley was HAPPY
to have Jo and Holly as competition
in that Title match. Haley isn't
here to punish Jo or get revenge
on her, she is here to compete once
again and prove she can beat Jo
Ryder in this setting."

Mr. Figaro: "Haley Cannon lives for competition,
there is no doubt about that. As
does Valeriyah, Visper, and Jo Ryder."

Mr. Clyde: "And you know Jo plans to once again
pin Haley if the situation arises.
But Haley is a brilliant fighter and
certainly has made some adjustments
since the Unleashed PPV. One of Haley's
biggest disadvantages in that past
Title match was that it was her first
Triple Threat match. But she is more
experienced and comfortable in a tag
team situation where the duration of
time where the match is one on one is
much higher then a triple threat. Haley
is deadly in a one on one situation
and is in a better match now to show
that off then in a triple threat match.
However, she still has to contend with
the inevitable breakdown of order that
occurs in these tag matches. But she
DOES have Valeriyah watching her back."

Mr. Figaro: "Oh...so Valeriyah is a.."

Mr. Clyde: "FIGURATIVELY watching her back."

Mr. Figaro: "Oh."

Mr. Clyde: "Let's not wait one more second to
get to what will be one of the
best matches of this tournament."

Mr. Clyde: "I'm not one to exaggerate folks, I said this
was likely going to be one of the best matches
of the tournament and I stand by that. Even
though this is only technically the second
match, other teams will be hard pressed
to match the intensity and competition that
these two teams just displayed."

Mr. Figaro: "Not to mention what Jo Ryder just did."

Mr. Clyde: "I'm a friend of Holly, and I helped prove
some of her allegations last year against
Jo Ryder...but my opinion of Jo OUT of
the ring is very different then the total
respect I have for her IN it. And as much
as I thought I respected her before this
match, I am completely blown away after
seeing what she just did...what she was
able to endure for half of the match."

Mr. Figaro: "Jo Ryder's arm is now a total mess.
Throughout the match, Valeriyah and
Haley targetted that arm and the
effects started to show just before
the 18 minute mark. But Jo stayed
competitive and was resilient. She
did not tap out to a multitude of
varied and painful submissions,
ranging from triangle chokes to
jujigatames to kimura locks."

Mr. Clyde: "Around the 30 minute mark, Valeriyah
put on a particularly painful kimura
lock that Jo was unable to escape.
After Val released the hold to go back
to her corner, as she was not then tagged
into the match, Jo rolled around on the
ground in visible pain, clutching at
her arm. It was clear that it was broken."

Mr. Figaro: "And yet...Jo RYDER KEPT FIGHTING. Jo
kept fighting when her arm was severely
wounded and kept fighting when her
arm was broken. She kept escaping
submissions and even applying some
of her own. But the most amazing
thing to me was when she was strong
enough to actually hit a HUGE apron
suplex on Valeriyah! I don't know
HOW Jo had the strength to do that
with only one arm after an entire
match of punishment and fatigue. That
had to be pure will and determination."

Mr. Clyde: "What also amazed me was how Jo was
able to escape Haley's Dragon Clutch
immediately after Haley hit Jo
with TWO Russian Neck Drops."

Mr. Figaro: "Folks, if you can get up at ALL after two
russian neck drops, you are an amazing
warrior! But if you, with a broken arm,
can get hit by TWO of them in a row at the
end of a big match, and then STILL fight
out of a Dragon Clutch...then...then..
I don't even know what to say!"

Mr. Clyde: "But make no mistake, the resiliency
of Jo Ryder was not the ONLY story in
this incredible match. And it certainly
wasn't the most IMPORTANT story from
the viewpoint of the tournament and the
eventual crowning of the new Tag Champions.
Of utmost importance was that Haley Cannon
and Valeriyah Belikov were the winners
of this match and were completely
DOMINANT at the end of it with their
submission skills. They were able to
finish the match despite Jo Ryder's
superhuman skills and drive."

Mr. Figaro: "Yeah, that's a good description of
Jo in that match, super human."

Mr. Clyde: "But Haley and Valeriyah also displayed
a similar quality of offence. They had
an equal part in breaking Jo Ryder's
arm. Valeriyah's kimura lock was the
final straw but both Haley and Val
worked the arm to that point. And of
course, it was Haley Cannon who
made Jo Ryder tap out with that
rolling kimura lock. In fact that
was moments after Haley applied her
LDT finisher to Visper Karr, who
wasn't the legal woman in the
match. Jo saw it, and with her
arm dangling from her side,
grabbed Haley, only to get her
grapple reversed into that
kimura lock. Jo, after fighting
with a hurt arm for over 10 minutes,
and a clearly broken one for 5
minutes, finally had to tap out.
You don't see Jo Ryder tap out
too often folks, so you have to
be awed by the offensive skill that
Haley and Valeriyah brought."

Mr. Figaro: "Not to mention the DEFENSIVE skill
they both possessed. Though Jo's
arm was too damaged to fully apply
the "Eclipse Festival", Valeriyah
still managed to fight out of it
rather then being forced to tap
out. Haley and Valeriyah also
managed to flat out stay conscious
after the debilitating suplexes
and throws that Jo and Visper
executed. Furthermore, the match
was taken over from the beginning
by Jo and Visper. But Haley and
Valeriyah were able to make a huge
comeback and take control of the
match thanks to their intense work
on the limbs of their opponents."

Mr. Clyde: "And another reason Haley and Val
were successful tonight was their
teamwork. They worked together
extremely well and managed to
synchronize their offence on
Jo Ryder's arm. At some points
Jo went from escaping Haley's
submission to immediately being
locked in the clutches of one
of Valeriyah's submissions. With
no time to recover and rest, Jo's
arm had no chance to heal."

Mr. Figaro: "And on the flip side, it was
apparent that Jo and Visper
did NOT have such a great time
collaborating on their offence. I
can think of at least two times
where they each "stepped on
each others" toes...or more
accurately, Jo messed up one
of Visper's planned attacks.
At one time Visper tried to
hit a rebound elbow off the
top rope and Jo Ryder was not
paying attention and rolled
Visper's target away. Visper's
elbow landed hard on the mat.
And another time, Visper was
going for a running attack
drop but Jo got in her way
trying to do her own running attack."

Mr. Clyde: "Yes, that did seem to be the case
that those two had some trouble.
Both of those situations immediately
led to Haley and Valeriyah taking
back control of the match as well."

Mr. Figaro: "I think Visper Karr would have been
more of a factor in this match
had she been tagged in more and
if her attacks weren't disrupted.
We have seen Visper be absolutely
dominant in one on one situations
where she was actually wrestling
in the ring. But whether it was
due to Jo wanting control in the
match or Haley and Valeriyah
purposefully keeping Visper out
of it, Visper didn't really
have a CHANCE to be effective."

Mr. Clyde: "That is a valid argument."

Mr. Figaro: "But that's not a matter for us
to sort out. All I can say is
how hard each woman worked in
this match to get the victory.
And while Haley and Valeriyah
got the victory, Jo and Visper's
efforts were very admirable."

Mr. Clyde: "And I'm sure Holly has had her
eye on this match and is probably
a bit shocked at what she saw
happen to her archrival Jo Ryder."

Mr. Figaro: "Holly is going to have to get
ready for the submission
onslaught of Haley and Valeriyah."

Mr. Clyde: "And chances are, so are some
of the other teams in this
tournament as well. Cause I'm
not sure who can stop this
dominant team if they continue
to wrestle like they did tonight."
