*We see UBL Sergeant Drake Yoshida in front of one of those multi-microphone podiums in the Orochi-O's Press Conference room. He looks a bit stressed but has a fake smile on*
Drake: "I am here with an important announcement. I regret that I have given you all such short notice for this meeting but I do have my reasons."
Reporter #1: "Did you call us here to discuss the OG-FPD 4 Year Anniversary PPV that was SUPPOSED to take place on December 13th, 2007?"
Drake: "Regrettably, a number of factors forced us to push that epic show back. Even more regrettably, we could not be upfront and honest with you about those reasons until now, So I am here to set the record straight. The reason we are so late is that OG-Joshi has failed to timely-"
*Suddenly, the double doors in the back slam open and OG-Joshi General Celes marches through them*
Celes: "Not on your life. You are NOT going to blame the delay in the show on OG-Joshi or me."
*Celes steps up to the podium and hip-checks Drake away from the microphones*
Celes: "And the reason you called this conference with such short notice is so that I wouldn't be told of it until it was too late to attend and refute your lies. But you fail to realize that every room in this place is under constant surveillance by MY ally, Mr. Clyde."
*Mr. Clyde drops down from the ceiling via grappling hook, waves, and then ascends once more*
Celes: "But Drake, I AM glad you decided to finally draw attention to something our fans have been upset about for over a month now. Yes, the OG-FPD Anniversary PPV has indeed been delayed. Not only that, so has LAWL's LAWLiday DVD, as a result. And you all are wondering why, correct?"
*The reporters nod their heads while Drake tries to get back to the podium.*
Drake: "As I said-"
Celes: "Silence."
*The look in Celes' eyes show she means it. Drake looks around, considering his options. His nervous look intensifies as Celes begins to pull out a piece of paper. He panics.*
Drake: "Guards!"
Celes: "Excuse me? *A rare smile shows on her face* Yes Drake, call the guards on someone who has a higher security clearance here then you you. I can see why Geese pays you the big bucks, Yoshi."
Drake: "Don't call me Yoshi."
*Celes glares at him again, causing him to step back. Then she unrolls the paper she has in her hand*
Celes: "Members of the press, I hold before you a legal document. This is, in fact, THE reason that the OG-FPD 4 Year Anniversary show has been indefinitely delayed. If you will all think back to the start of 2007, more specifically, the first Voltage of last year, OrochiGeese fired all of the former roster members of his long time OG-FPD professional wrestling promotion. Many of those wrestlers were not happy with how he treated them - firing them at the last minute and not hearing their pleas after years of service to him. He thought he had the last laugh...but apparently, this document proves otherwise."
Drake: "Don't show them that! Geese will be furious!"
Celes: "It took them almost a year, but they have finally gotten a measure of revenge. Upon hearing news that OrochiGeese was putting together a PPV under the OG-FPD banner, the former wrestlers consulted their lawyer hoping to rain on Geese's parade. Their claim was that their performances in the past for OG-FPD helped make that name what it was and they should therefore be paid residuals for any profits the OG-FPD PPV makes. Quite predictably, Geese refused to accept such a deal and so their lawyer immediately called for an injunction to be granted against the OG-FPD show, delaying it until the time a court could settle the matter, or Geese would agree. I hold in my hand the injunction that states the original claim of residuals, and I am more then willing to pass it to the press for observation.
Reporter #2: So the injunction stopped everyone from talking about it up til now too?"
Celes: "No, that was Geese's decision, and apparently Yoshi's as well. I did not find out about this until earlier this week. To be quite honest, I was not at all upset that Geese had delayed the show, despite him not telling me the real reasons why. But I was perfectly content with the turn of events as this delay has given OG-Joshi World Champion contender Alicia Gordon time to fully heal from the events of the November Open show. So I did not dig. But once she recovered, I became suspicious as to the reason behind the show delays. I did not know if Geese, once again, needed to devote all his time to making the UBL a functioning promotion, much like he did this past summer, or if there was another reason. And here it is."
Drake: "Geese is going to be fur-"
Reporter #2: "You already said that and she doesn't seem affected by it."
Reporter #3: "Ok, if you two can stop bickering. Answer me and the fans of OG-Joshi and UBL this question: Just when IS the OG-FPD 4 Year Anniversary PPV actually going to happen!?"
*Drake and Celes look at each other, both with a blank look on their faces. But then the double doors in back slam open again and OrochiGeese walks through looking calm and proud.*
Geese: "The show will happen when I say it will. My lawyers are eviscerating the OG-FPD ones as we speak. The court will rule in February that we can move on, and we will present the show to you sometime that month. No further questions. I would like to see General Celes and Sergeant Yoshida in my office now."
*Yoshida comes running to Geese while Celes just stands on the podium and addresses the press.
Celes: "Are there any further questions?"
*Geese marches out of the room, with Drake in tow, and slams the door after him.*
Reporter #2: "Have you considered updating your resume?"
*Celes lets out a rare smirk*
Celes: "To Geese, I'm the babysitter of OG-Joshi. If he ever actually wants to regain control of it and make tough decisions, perhaps then I'll reconsider my position. Until then, he seems content playing with his old UBL friends from Japan. Now if you will all excuse me, I also have business to attend to, as I must meet with the OG-Joshi roster to personally apologize for the delay."
Reporter #0928299: "What about LAWLiday?"
Celes: "Yes, I would like to send a heartfelt apology to Miss Gloria Reyes. I realize your LAWL production team is dependent on Orochi-O's.Inc to produce your DVD's. And that your deal with them stipulated that LAWLiday would be done AFTER the OG-FPD Anniversary PPV would be completed. Unfortunately, timing worked out poorly this year. However, production on the LAWLiday DVD will commence in March, assuming OrochiGeese is able to follow through on his earlier promise."
Reporter #0 (the singularity reporter): "Wait, so...you're saying LAWLiday happened already?"
Celes: "Yes. Of course it did. It wouldn't make sense for them to wait til AFTER the holiday season, would it? Then again, perhaps I am overstepping my boundaries in assuming any pattern of logic for LAWL. Still, I have it on good authority, that being my own eyes, that LAWLiday did indeed happen and was quite a magnificent show. And for those who have seen it, I'll thank you for not spoiling for anyone on the internet before their DVD comes out. Now, I must be going. Good afternoon, everyone."
*Celes inclines her head in a slight bow and then walks away*
