Voltage - September 16th, 2007


*The pyro train starts its engines as Voltage begins
and the crowd is showered with a sea of red and gold
sparks. Twenty minutes later, the fire marshall arrives
and we're ready to begin after the audience if talked into
signing negligence waivers!! Thank Fire Marshall Goose
and the bevy of high-priced Voltage attorneys!!*


[Mr. Clyde:] "And we're back with the second Voltage on our
journey to the December 13th OG-FPD four year
Anniversary show. A show that had a huge match
added to it two weeks ago during the previous
Voltage when General Celes announced that
the OG-Joshi Tag Team Champions HAWT*Wing
would be defending against challengers Jenny
McLanahan and Kaori NiGHT of J*NiGHT."

[Mr. Figaro:] "And that's in addition to the OG-Joshi World
Championship match already announced between
the defending champion Holly and Alicia Gordon!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "And with three months left to the show, it's likely
OG-Joshi contributes even more matches to a
show co-presented by us and the Universal
Battle League. I think Geese is going for a
four match split from each promotion."

[Mr. Figaro:] "As long as I get my interpromotional,
intergender "Shower Toy" match with Kim-"

[Mr. Clyde:] "But we have a lot of business to get to tonight,
starting with a rematch between two women that
impressed the Amplitude audience so much that
General Celes felt they were both ready to have
a match on Voltage, or in Diva's case, a return."

[Mr. Figaro:] "And this is the Voltage debut of new OG-Joshi
talent, Natalia Nogaaaaaard. Its fun to say that
name, Clyde, its like taking in the mountain air!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Yes, of course it is, how foolish of me not to
have realized THAT right away."

[Mr. Figaro:] "One day you'll learn all the secrets of the
world, Clyde. But in the meantime, you have
me helping guide you on your ninja quest."

[Mr. Clyde:] "Right..."

[Mr. Figaro:] "To score with Kat Black! ZING!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Right. We'll likely revisit that topic later in irritating
fashion, i'm sure. But in the meantime, we will
now see if Natalia can strike back against Diva
and get a victory after Diva craftily defeated her
in their previous match on Amplitude."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Wow, you used the words "craftily" and "Diva"
in the same sentence without saying April Fools!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Well she managed to impress a lot of people
with her victory, even her opponent.

[Mr. Figaro:] "Kind, respectful words from Nogaaaaaaard!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Diva surprised us all with her tenacity in that
match and perhaps she is on a better track
then she has been in the past. But Natalia
looked hungry to prove herself then and will
certainly be even more tonight on Voltage
after her previous loss. So let's see what
she can do against veteran DARKNESS Diva."

[Mr. Clyde:] "And Natalia put a big exclamation point on that
match with that "Switchblade Flash" kick."

[Mr. Figaro:] "She should have hit a sonic boom too!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Huh?"

[Mr. Figaro:] "Nothing, nothing."

[Mr. Clyde:] "Diva did come very close to victory, and I
was quite surprised to see Natalia able to
fight out of that figure four late in the match,
but she did just that and mounted a very big
comeback, finishing Diva off with that powerful
running kick to Diva's face and getting the win."

[Mr. Figaro:] "And it looks like they have a visitor!"

*Yoyo Banzai runs to the ring and begins berating DARKNESS
Diva for losing the match. She scolds her all the way to the back
and then holds a finger up to Natalia before leaving. And no,
it was her index finger, not her middle finger. Had to clear
that up since we ARE dealing with Yoyo Banzai here!*

[Mr. Figaro:] "Either that was sign language for
'let's have some fun later tonight'
or she was challenging Natalia to
another match on Diva's behalf!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Wild guess here, I think it was
the latter of your two guesses."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Yeah, I fear that as well. Not that
another Diva/Natalia match is a bad
thing, but a different kind of 'match'
between the three of them would-'

[Mr. Clyde:] "Would not make it past our censors.
And Natalia leaves to a big round
of applause from the fans after
earning victory on her Voltage debut."

[Mr. Figaro:] "What's next on our unholy agenda, Clyde?"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Well our next match is also a rematch of
sorts from previous weeks. This feud had
actually started at the same Amplitude as
Natalia's match with Diva, but it took place
in a six woman tag match between Lisa
Robinson, Jenna Stone, and Lana against
Eris Byrne, Patty Sirloin, and Jane Dod."

[Mr. Figaro:] "These four women have had a great deal
of hatred towards each other due
to Eris and Jane's behavior during
that six man match where they isolated
Lisa, worked hard on her leg, and then
used cheating tactics to keep her in
the ring until she eventually submitted."

[Mr. Clyde:] "And two weeks ago at Voltage, the
four women locked up again in tag
team competition. This time things
got even more out of control but
Jane and Eris managed to win the
match again after a combination
of violent actions, not the least of
which being Jane's use of a chair
and Eris sneaking up behind Lisa to
further attack that injured leg, leading
to Jane slapping on her STF for the win."

[Mr. Figaro:] "So we go from a six woman tag to a
four woman tag to a regular one on one
match now with Lana taking on Jane Dod!
The lowest common denominator is FUN!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Impeccable math."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Great way to start the school year! C+ for me!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "And a well deserved one at that. But right
now we have what is bound to be a very
interesting match. Jane Dod just joined
the OG-Joshi roster during the summer
and has made huge waves ever since.
Meanwhile, Lana hasn't been here for
all that long either and has made a big
impact in her short time here. While
Kim Cross did earn two victories over
her, Lana managed to mess up her fa-"

*Suddenly Mr. Figaro: puts his hand up to stop
Clyde from talking. We see he is suddenly wearing
a freaking MONACLE. No one knows where Figaro
got it from but we'll be damned if we ask him since
his current attire does not have any pockets...*

[Mr. Figaro:] "Tut tut! We do not speak of such
things anymore! It is ungentlemanly
to mention a woman's face injured
or her spirit being called into question!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Then we're in the wrong line of work.
This is a female wrestling promotion."

[Mr. Figaro:] "I see. Quite a barbaric business really
and we can at LEAST have the good
taste not to speak ill of a fine woman
such as Lady Kim Cross and be sure
not to mention any unfortunate injuries
resulting from Lana's barbaric assault."

[Mr. Clyde:] "You already said barbaric. But seeing
as you now have a top hat and some
suspenders to go with your monacle, it's
best we just wrap up this pre-match
discussion and get right to the ring.
We'll see if Jane Dod's chicanery can
match Lana's attempt at violent revenge."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Good show, Clyde, bloody good show!"

[Mr. Figaro:] "OMG! Clyde, 'O.M.G"!! Did you just see that!?"

[Mr. Clyde:] "That was a devestating avalanche DDT from
Jane!! And she knew it hit just perfectly
cause she then proceeded to use a VERY
nonchalant cover. But it worked and she
got the victory after one of the best matches
we have seen all year, in my opinion."

[Mr. Figaro:] "I liked that pin cover! I would have liked it
better if I saw Kim use it. But wow, Clyde, you
are right about that match. Those two went
at it like two rising stars who refused to give
up. They fought out of submissions, strikes,
everything! Well, everything UNTIL Jane Dod
hit that tremendous avalanche DDT and you
HAVE to believe that it knocked out Lana."

[Mr. Clyde:] "No shame in that though considering the
impact of the move and how exhausted they
both must have been at the end of the match.
But still, Jane Dod just got the biggest win of
her OG-Joshi career by cleanly beating Lana."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Yeah, but Jane Dod doesn't fight cleanly
for too long, check THAT out..."

*Jane Dod continues her assault on Lana, who finally
made it to her feet after the three count. But a big elbow
to the back of her head knocks her back down again and
Jane begins smashing her face in with mounted elbows.*

[Mr. Clyde:] "Someone better get down there quickly."

*Lisa Robinson runs to Lana's aid and gets halfway
down the ramp when all of a sudden the Orochi-Tron
comes to life with song! Lisa stops dead in her tracks on
the floor as Jane continues to punish Lana with elbows*

[Mr. Clyde:] "I...I can't believe what we just saw."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Clyde...Clyde, this is bad. Clyde!!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "I hear you, I hear you."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Polly f'n Dod has just come to OG-Joshi
and ALREADY she has left behind a trail
of bodies! And Jane Dod is just laughing
and directing traffic as Polly just destroyed
Lisa, who tried to cut her off at the ramp, and
then eviscerated Lana who is now knocked out!!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "The two are finally leaving, but wow,
the damage has been done. And the
crowd is completely silent in shock.
Whether that is because of the attack
or the very FACT that Polly Dod has
shown up in OG-Joshi, well, I don't
know. It's probably both really."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Clyde, the fans were shocked and
amazed like i've never seen them!
They were 'SHAMAZED,' Clyde!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "That they hopefully weren't."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Clyde! Polly Dod is a former PW-W
Women's Champion, the longest reigning
one ever. And she is an absolute legend,
a virtually unstoppable one.CLYDE!?"

[Mr. Clyde:] "YES! I hear you! And it appears that
the female version of the Dod Squad is
now fully intact in OG-Joshi. What that
will mean for everyone else is unclear,
other then that everyone is going to
have a lot more to worry about, a LOT."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Even...even Holly."

[Mr. Clyde:] "Especially Holly. Provided she makes
it past Alicia Gordon. But even THAT is
now conditional upon Jane and Polly not
targetting her beforehand. When Dods
are around, NO ONE is safe."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Clyde, that...that gives me an idea.
A horrible one, but Clyde, do you
suppose.that...that Jane and Polly
are going to form a tag team?"

[Mr. Clyde:] "That thought crossed my mind.
Seems almost certain they will."

[Mr. Figaro:] "And wouldn't they want to destroy
another tag team, just like they did
with Lana and Lisa just now? Wouldn't
the Dods love to destroy a newly
formed tag team with promise like...like-"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Oh no, you aren't thinking of-"

[Mr. Figaro:] "I'm not THINKING, Clyde. I'm FEELING!
Thinking is for NERDS!! I feel with my heart
of hearts, my courage!! Clyde, I have to
protect them, WE have to protect them!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "No, don't start this-"

[Mr. Figaro:] "Kat and Kim! They're scheduled to
face the Reed Sisters in a match
next! This is the first time that Kat
and Kim are tagging and they are
SUCH high profile that I bet the
Dods would LOVE to take them
out of consideration right away!!
I have to help them, we both do!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "And how do you propose that we
do that? By sitting here calmly and
watching their match, hopefully?"

[Mr. Figaro:] "BAH!! That won't help ANYONE!"

[Mr. Clyde:] *Mutters* "It would help me."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Not if Kat gets hurt! You can't
have your sweet ninja princess hurt!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Now she's a ninja princess too?"

[Mr. Figaro:] "Sure, why not!! Listen, I have a plan,
Clyde. You have to keep a lookout
from the commentator booth here,
to make sure the Dods don't return
using the backstage ramp. And I
will accompany our sweet sweet
love-joshis to the ring, making sure
that the Dods don't attack through
the crowd. Remember, Clyde, 'one
if by ramp, two if by crowd,' ok!?"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Um, ok...Mr. Revere."

[Mr. Figaro:] "WHO!?"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Never mind."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Obviously the fear of this situation
has confused you to insanity! But
I'll make sure Kat and Kim are well
protected in the ring, don't you worry!"

*Mr. Figaro slaps Clyde enthusiastically on the back
and runs to the ring. The Reed Sisters come out,
looking less then trusting of Figaro, but he assures
them he's out to protect everyone from the Dods. Then
Kat Black and Kim Cross come out. Kim waves
and winks at Clyde and tries to get Kat to do the
same but she keeps walking. Kim shrugs her
shoulders and smiles and then walks towards
the ring. Kim questions Figaro as to why he
is there, but as he babbles and tries to fondle
her, she just accepts his explanation and gets
into the ring quickly. Kat ignores him completely.*

[Mr. Clyde:] "Well, this should be an interesting match,
even without my buffoon colleague there. This
is the first time that Kat Black and Kim Cross,
two of the fastest rising stars in OG-Joshi,
have ever teamed together and they do so
agaisnt a rather new team but with one very
strong teamwork, the Reed Sisters. They
had an excellent showing for themselves
in last year's Tag Tournament and certainly
have the advantage in teamwork here as
they are two sisters that are on the same
page that have teamed for years before
they arrived in OG-Joshi. But I would still
give both Kat and Kim the advantage in
sheer wrestling ability, at least based on
all we have seen in the previous year. But the
true question will be if these two singles
wrestlers are good enough to triumph over
a well-oiled tag team unit: a phrase I
wouldn't be able to get away with if Figaro
was still right here, I might add. And the
further question is whether or not Figaro
will behave himself during the match. I
shudder to think by how much he WON'T.
But let's see and find out for sure."

*[Mr. Clyde:] sighs*


[Mr. Clyde:] "I think the only reason this match has not been
thrown out by the ref was because he is a good
friend of Figaro's. But by all accounts, the Reed
Sisters just got robbed. However, to be completely
fair, it did not look like Kim, and certainly not Kat,
enjoyed seeing Figaro's little display of "protecting
them from the Dods." And what he was thinking
during that particularly insane throwing of weapons
into the ring is truly beyond me. However, despite
his shenanigans, if that is even a strong enough
word, we did get an inkling of what Kat and Kim
can accomplish as a team, and we also got a
very brave showing by the Reed Sisters in the
face of Figaro's um, 'actions. And Kat Black did
pick up the victory with her "Fade to Black" STF"

Kim Cross/Kat Black (O) ["Fade to Black" - 29:45] (X) Melody/Harmony


*We see Kat and Kim arguing with Mr. Figaro and then General
Celes comes down to ringside with an angry look on her face. She
hears the complaints by all four women and then addresses Figaro.*

[Celes:] "Oh come on now, what exactly do you explain THAT?"

[Mr. Figaro:] "The Dods, you saw them!! I didn't want them to attack-"

[Celes:] "So why did you decide to trip up the Reeds? And distracting
the ref? How did making the Reed lose prevent Dod attack?"

[Mr. Figaro:] "EASY! By having Kat and Kim win as quickly as possible,
it ensured all four women would leave the ring soon and
not get attacked by the Dods! Don't you see!?"

[Celes:] "And the weapons?"

[Mr. Figaro:] "I wanted to make sure that they all could defend
themselves just in case the Dods came back
looking for a street fight or a scrap or a brawl!"

[Celes:] "I played along with your little plan cause you promised
me that it was a good idea to have Kat and Kim team
up. A good idea for OG-Joshi and competition in general
which I agreed with. But if this is how you are going to act-"

*Figaro then whispers something to Celes. The two walk into one
of the corners where they won't be heard and begin talking.Finally,
Celes nods to Figaro and they come back to face the others*

[Celes:] "Ok, I'm going to do what's best for everyone here.
The result of this match will stand as it is but I
will offer the Reed Sisters a rematch. If they can
win that rematch, not only will they get the victory
there, but it will turn THIS match into a no contest."

*Melody and Harmony nod and begin to leave as Kat bows
to them and even Kim looks somewhat sympathetic.*

[Celes:] "I do that because the sooner Kat and Clyde can
prove they aren't an 'item', or should I say, the sooner
Figaro fails to prove they are, the sooner things will
return to 'normal' around here. But since tonight's
victory means so much for Figaro in the short term,
as he just attempted to explain to me in hushed tones,
I'm letting him have it. As to why, well, here's Figaro."

*Celes nods and then leaves as she smiles somewhat sympathetically
towards a very happy, beaming Figaro who is giving her the thumbs up
and saying "thank you" repeatedly. Celes catches up with the Reed Sisters
to explain to them what the issue is and apologizes for the inconvenience.
Meanwhile, Figaro gets a microphone and addresses Kat and Kim.*

[Mr. Figaro:] "Now, to honor tonight's EPIC victory for you
two, I'd like to propose a HUGE celebration!
And what better way to do that then for Clyde
and I to take you two beautiful and talented
soon-to-be tag champions out to DINNER!
And maybe a movie, and maybe dessert,
but first dinner, with drinks, LOTS of them!"

*A loud groan is heard as somewhere a ninja sighs.*

[Mr. Figaro:] "Huh, what do you two think of that!? A night
out on the town with the Orochi Army men!
We'll wine you and dine you & touch-"

*Kim covers Figaro's mouth before he crosses the line.
She then whispers to Kat who is doing her best NOT to
run away at this point. Kat finally sighs and shrugs, which
prompts an excited look in Kim's eyes and a spirited nod
to Figaro, who now looks like a kid on Xmas morning."

[Mr. Figaro:] "A-ha!! It's on! The date is on, Clyde!"

*Figaro dances around the ring a bit then quickly
calms himself down, trying to 'play it cool'. He then
gives a big thumbs-up and an eye wink to Clyde, at
about the same time that Kim does the same to Kat.
Also the same is Kat and Clyde's silent, stoic reactions
that seem to be a combined feeling of "urghleblurghle."

[Mr. Figaro:] "Kim and I will work out the details!
In the meantime, congratulations to
the best new team in OG-Joshi! And
uh, steer clear of dem damn Dods!"

*Kat leaves the ring alone, trying to speed backstage
as fast as she can. Kim and Figaro walk back together
until Figaro tries to pinch her on the butt and she leaves
in a huff. Figaro smiles and sits down next to Clyde.*

[Mr. Clyde:] "Not a word, you've said and DONE enough
already for the night. Time for commercials.*

[Mr. Clyde:] "And we come now to our main event, a match that our
own General Celes will be refereeing so YOU DON'T
HAVE TO STAND THERE AND THROW WEAPONS!"

[Mr. Figaro] "That was very rude of you to yell at our fans like that!
And you didn't even look them in the eyes when you
were saying it, you were staring right at me!! The nerve!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Ahh, just forget about it."

[Mr. Figaro] "Not until you apologize to our loyal fans! Chop chop!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Ok, fine...I'm really truly sorry, more sorry then any
of you will ever know. Then any could STAND to know."

[Mr. Figaro] "That sounded very genuine, Clyde! Good job! You
show that sensitive side of you to Kat, and you'll
be swimming in her embrace all night long!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Our next match is the fourth match in the
"best of 7 series" between Visper Karr and
Haley Cannon. The series is now two to one
in favor of Haley but Visper showed a whole lot
of fight left in her by winning their match at the
previous Voltage. Visper looks like she may be
getting her momentum in this series and we'll
see if she can bring it over to tonight's match or
if Haley will snap that very momentum in half by
doing the very same to one of Visper's limbs."

[Mr. Figaro] "Yeesh, very graphic!! So very violent, I'm
hoping that once Kat and you celebrate
your love in public, you'll no longer have
to hide behind VIOLENCE and HURT!
ANGER is a coping mechanism but I'll
make sure you replace it with LOVE!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Dare to dream."

[Mr. Figaro] "INSPIRATIONAL! See, your upcoming
date with Kat is already working wonders!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Can we continue? As I was saying,
Visper Karr may have a new strategy
and purpose in mind, but Haley Cannon
is not one to be mastered easily. I am
sure she looked hard at her mistakes
in the previous match and worked to
make sure they don't happen again.
Haley Cannon has not been beaten
more then a handful of times in her
career here in OG-Joshi. And she
has never been beaten the same way
twice. That goes for actual finishers
along with how someone acts overall
in a match against her. Visper is going
to have to utilize a slightly tweaked
gameplan to keep Haley guessing but
still take advantage of the very strenghts
that helped her beat Haley last time."

[Mr. Figaro] "So you want her to do the same but different?"

[Mr. Clyde:] "A more nuanced understanding is necessary."

[Mr. Figaro] "You have new pants? Had to change them
after seeing Kat, eh?" *Figaro elbows Clyde
jokingly in the ribs as Clyde sighs*

[Mr. Clyde:] "Enough. So now let us watch which one
of these two has made the adjustments
necessary to win this match tonight."

[Mr. Figaro] "Wait! One thing!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "It better be serious!"

[Mr. Figaro] "It is. You think that maybe either of them
could be holding back anything? The series
is still young and as you said, if either of
them really shows their hand now, then
they'll have to fight a bit differently next
time? Do you think they have a surprise
for each other or is that too risky?"

[Mr. Clyde:] "A worthwhile consideration. Ordinarily,
it would be a good idea in a long series
such as this to leave something in
reserves for later on that hasn't at
all been scouted out. Something
either entirely new or that hasn't been
used for a while. The key overall here
is that it can't be predicted by their
opponent. But in this case, with two
women that can easily finish a match
suddenly if given the choice, it may be
too risky not to give their absolute ALL
100% of the time. If Visper holds back
for a second in deliberating about whether
to do an unpredictable move, then Haley
could snap the limb that Visper uses to
do that very move. And if Haley holds back
and thinks, then Visper could knock her out
with a kick. So while I wouldnt' say it's
not possible, I think holding back isn't

[Mr. Clyde:] "Another win for Visper! She ties up the series
two wins a-piece after an incredible show of resilience."

[Mr. Figaro] "How did she fight out of that dragon clutch so
late in the match! I was sure she would have to
tap but she didn't! She didn't!! SHE DIDN'T!!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Visper wasn't the only one who showed a lot
of endurance, as Haley got herself out of some
bad situations throughout the match as well,
seemingly miraculously popping up after Visper's
usually deadly running face kick. Although we
have seen Haley do this before and I do believe
it's not a coincidence as to why she's able to."

[Mr. Figaro] "YES! I knew I wasn't the only one who highly
suspected witchcraft and/or voodoo!!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "If by that you mean a well focused assault
on Visper's leg, then you'd be correct."

[Mr. Figaro] "I was close!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Haley has been working Visper's legs so
much that Visper's usual destructive
kicking power has been reduced just a bit,
allowing Haley to absorb less of the damage
then usual. However, it still does take its
toll and was part of the reason that Haley
was unable to muster up the energy to
kick out of Visper's surprise roll-up."

[Mr. Figaro] "That and SURPRISE! Visper totally
shocked Haley who had control of the
match at that point and looked to be
ready to execute another potential
match ending move. But Visper used
her superior speed and SURPRISE to
pick up her second victory in this series!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "I really wish the official results didn't have
to say "surprise" but..."

[Mr. Figaro] "But nothing, the truth must be told!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Both of Visper's victories have come from
similar quick, technical-minded maneuvers
whereas Haley has won her matches with
her excruciating submission moves. What
will the next match in this series bring? And
how will both adjust? We already saw Haley
utilizing a new maneuver, that powerful and
quick STO which caught Visper off guard
a few times. And we've seen Visper add some
new moves to her arsenal recently as well."

[Mr. Figaro] "I think we'll see Visper using some kind of
spear and Haley maybe dual-wielding
katana blades, or maybe a scythe."

Mr. Clyde "..."

[Mr. Figaro] "And more SURPRISE!"

[Mr. Clyde:] "Well it might not come to anyone's surprise that this
show has now reached its conclusion. But we hope
you have enjoyed it, despite any "difficulty" in a certain
tag match earlier tonight. *Figaro looks around confused*
And we'll see you in a few weeks when Voltage returns
with a huge main event, pitting one half of the Tag Team
Champions, Dizzy, against one half of the challengers,
Jenny, against each other. Not only is this a big match
for each respective tag team, but it is one HUGE singles
