“What I don’t get,” asks the brunette wrestling sensation, Diane “Dizzy” Cavuto, “is how I can be on top of my game nightly, and have people question why I do things.”
She twirls the straw in her coffee a bit, leaning back in her seat a bit as she speaks to the OG-Joshi reporter, “It’s like, why do I want to chase the OG-Joshi Tag Team Championship? Well, duh, because I want to! Its not just something for me to do to kill time… I can still learn and grow as well as any other woman here – I just happen to be much cuter, and much better in ring than any of them. I mean, okay, that sounds REALLY bad, but I’m ready to stop pretending: The only woman stopping me from being the absolute best in OG-Joshi – heck, the joshi wrestling world PERIOD – is Haley Cannon. “
The reporter, usually fine being silent and allowing someone to go on their own tangent, asks, “Is that why you’re in the tournament?”
Dizzy pauses, except for the coffee stirring, and thinks, before answering, slowly sounding the words out – stopping to think how she’s going to put things into words: “I’m in the tournament because… I like to be a champion. It’s nice to be a champion. Wearing that belt around your waist… well, not YOUR waist, but my pretty, slim waist – shows that you are a force to be reckoned with! After Azumi and I win (and, if we don’t, it’ll be a huge shock to me, personally), I’d like to take on all challengers – any team that earns a chance to face us will get the opportunity! But,” she says, grinning a bit, “I ALSO want to challenge for the OG-Joshi World Championship. Nothing says you’re the best women’s wrestler in the world like wearing more than one piece of gold. It’s not just a well respected honor, bestowed upon only the best of the best of the cute and talented, but it’s a damn fine fashion accessory you can build a multitude of outfits around.”
Truly, this fine woman – the self proclaimed “Duckington Beach Bad Grrl” has shown herself to have a bit of an edge… or, even, an agenda? When asked about it, she laughs the question down, saying, “Every woman in OG-Joshi dreams of being the champion. If they say they don’t, they’re lying to you. I’m being honest – I want to be the champion again. And I will do anything it takes to get there. Anything any woman here can do… I can do better!”
