*** OG Joshi World Champion, Haley Cannon, sits on the top turnbuckle of an empty ring after Voltage. The title belt is flung across her shoulder.
Haley: "Good evening. In a recent statement, Kaori NiGHT said that OG Joshi has a 'champion that never talks'. I took note of this, and the fact that Kaori has been quite vocal recently.
First of all, I had no idea Kaori was that interested in what I had to say or what was on my mind. I'm flattered, actually."
*** Haley rolls her eyes
Haley: "Secondly, a champion doesn't need to talk. A champion is on top, waiting for the next challenger. A champion may have a few words to say before or after a match, which I will address shortly, but is certainly not obligated to do so. You see, being the best is a precarious position, particularly when you are challenged, as I was with Valeriyah Belikov. Every time I push, I find something more, again and again. But there is a contradiction. The same moment that you become the best, you are enormously
fragile. Because in a split-second, it can be gone. All of it. These two extremes contribute to knowing yourself, deeper and deeper.
But I've proven myself. I've defended my title across the globe and in the OG-FPD arena. All I'm responsible for is preparing and waiting for the next challenger."
*** Haley jumps off the turnbuckle and begins walking along one of the ropes, looking away as if in thought. She stops with her arm resting on the top rope and looks back at the camera.
Haley: "But maybe you're right, Ms. NiGHT. Maybe I should talk more. In fact, maybe I should start now.
First I could like to thank Valeriyah Belikov for the finest competition I've had in my career. You are a superb wrestler and I wish you luck in your future endeavors. I hope to meet you in the ring again some day.
But what is next for me? General Celes spelled that out quite nicely during Voltage. The winner of an 8 woman battle royal will become the #1 contender for my title, and earn a title match in July. This is most excellent. I only wish it could be sooner.
To the competitors of the battle royal, I say good luck.
Diane Cavuto: What will you do if you win? Are you prepared for me? Your heart is there, but is your skill? I look forward to finding out how you've progressed.
Kaori NiGHT: I would look forward to another match with you. I know that with the title on the line, you will compete even more passionately. You've had some success recently. But so have I. Win the battle royal and we can see where this goes.
Holly: I have enjoyed watching you compete. I've watched your struggle, with those around you, with those in the ring and with yourself. You have the skill and the passion to win this match and earn the right to face me for the title. But are you going in the right direction? It's like you're in a maze, where the exit is on the other side of the wall, but you can't reach it. You're so close, but you're not in the right place to make it all the way. Find the right way, and you'll see me in the ring.
To the rest, you are all making an impact in OG Joshi. You are proving your skill and prowess, but you're up against 3 experienced competitors. All three have competed in big matches like the one before you. This is your opportunity to take the next step and show what you are really made of. Good luck.
To Alicia Gordon: Now you understand the environment you're in and what you're up against. I admire your courage, but there is a fine line between courage and irrationality. Be careful to not cross that line. You have a bright career ahead of you, so do what you must, but don't get yourself ruined.
To Juli Krieger: You've made your big entrance, no pun intended. You've shocked us all, but believe me, the shock has worn off. I have a feeling you may have stirred up a hornet's nest.
And to Jo Ryder: I hope you're not getting too comfortable outside the ring.
