Mr. Figaro: "Up, up, and away with another OG-FPD Voltage!"
Mr. Clyde: "You say more curious things by the week."
Mr. Figaro: "And we get even better matches every week!"
Mr. Clyde: "So it seems, so it seems."
Mr. Figaro: "Tonight we have TWO OG-FPD tournament matches
packed into one show. Representing the "Kaori
NiGHT Invitational Tournament", or "KNIT",
as us OG-FPD staffers affectionately call it,
we have the debut of Tigress Mask as she faces
off against the also debuting Visper Karr, and
Azumi Oonishi."
Mr. Clyde: "This is actually the very first match of the
"KNIT" and is under special rules. It is a
Triple Threat match and the first person to
lose is not just eliminated from the match,
but from the tournament. So in a way, it's
a "first loss" Triple Threat. Whereas regular
Triple Threats only have one winner advance,
this match will only have one loser leave."
Mr. Figaro: "And the two wrestlers who are not defeated,
will go onto face each other in round two!"
Mr. Clyde: "A very innovative concept for sure, and we
have OG-FPD Joshi superstar Kaori NiGHT
to thank for it. Though according to her,
we also have her to thank for the sun rising."
Mr. Figaro: "Hey, if you were a legendary joshi star and
international mega pop star idol, you'd
have a healthy bit of confidence too!"
Mr. Clyde: "If I was a "joshi" star at all, I'd have
a lot of questions about things..."
Mr. Figaro: "This just in, Clyde's not a tranny, folks!"
Mr. Clyde: "Thanks for clearing that up, we're ALL glad."
Mr. Figaro: "We also will have a special announcement from
HBK, regarding the events of the previous
Voltage. Specifically, his reaction to Randy
Orton's attempted "assistance" during his
match. OrochiGeese was said to be mortified
by Orton's antics outside the ring. At least
OG didn't have to see that sitting at ringside
like we did!"
Mr. Clyde: "Finally, our main event for the night is
the second quarterfinal match of the OG-FPD
World Championship Title Tournament, a
tournament that OrochiGeese announced two
weeks ago, and one that is creating quite
a buzz in OG-FPD, and the wrestling community
as a whole. This OG-FPD World Title will be
THE major title for now on. And OrochiGeese
hand picked the participants in the tournament
to ensure that only the best could fight
to win this new highly coveted belt."
Mr. Figaro: "But for now, let us begin the night with
the KNIT tournament match that we announced
earlier. As I said, there are two new OG-FPD
Joshi wrestlers debuting: Visper Karr and
Tigress Mask. They will be facing a Joshi
wrestler who has already had a large share
of success in OG-FPD so far, Azumi Oonishi."
Mr. Clyde: "Azumi Oonishi, despite being taunted by her
main rival, Yoyo Banzai, has already amassed
two victories in OG-FPD Joshi. But in a triple
threat match, sometimes experience and past
success has to combat the natural disorder
of the match. Also, its very possible that
the two debuting wrestlers set their sights
on the one already getting comfortable here."
Mr. Figaro: "Make no mistake though, neither of the debuting
Joshi girls are NEW to wrestling. Tigress Mask
comes to us from a highly entertaining promotion
called "Queens Ring Puroresu". There, Tigress
won the important Queens Ring Crown."
Mr. Clyde: "And Visper Karr has been all around the Joshi
world as well, facing off against Kaori NiGHT
in the past, in both NDP and McPro. In fact,
Visper Karr has recently become a large part
of McPro, as their esteemed leader,
Generallisimo "Don't call me Twinky" McBlackmage
has definitely been giving her some important
matches and overall attention."
Mr. Figaro: "And now it is time for this match, the first
match of the Kaori NiGHT Invitational Tournament!"
KNIT Round1-1 Match. Azumi Oonishi vs. Visper Karr vs. Tigress Mask
*POST MATCH SPOILERS*
Mr. Figaro: "What a way to kick off a new tournament!!"
Mr. Clyde: "A match like that is welcome at ANY point
in a tournament, beginning, middle, or end."
Mr. Figaro: "It appears that the two debuting Joshi stars
had a lot to prove and both advance to the
next round of the tournament where they will
face each other."
Mr. Clyde: "But don't sell Azumi short for her efforts.
She put on a great match and I'm sure she
will bounce back. She showed me something
in her first two matches, and this one too,
that leads me to believe her spirit will
not take a blow from this match. And she'll
come back stronger then ever."
Mr. Figaro: "I'm sure she'll be watching next week's match
involving her rival, Yoyo Banzai, very closely.
Azumi beat Yoyo in a singles match and a tag
match. And it would be great retribution for
Yoyo if she could win her match. It would
almost be like tieing up their rivalry series."
Mr. Clyde: "Well, until Yoyo beats Azumi in a one on one
match here, I wouldn't say their series is tied.
But it would certainly put a feather in Yoyo's
accomplishment hat."
Mr. Figaro: "Yoyo has a feathered cap? I thought she wore a mask?"
Mr. Clyde: "Never mind..."
