Backstage Politics!

*Backstage at tonight's tonight's (1/15/06) OG-FPD Voltage, Holly makes her way to OrochiGeese's office. She approaches the door and takes a deep breath. As she begins the physical motion for a "knock", she then curses under her breath and shakes her head violently. She instead decides to barge right in*


Holly: "GEESE!"

OrochiGeese: "Yes, Holly?"

Holly: "WHAT DO YOU THINK!?"

OG: "You would like me to congratulate you on your match, I suppose?"

*Holly just stares at OG. Her anger having given way to confusion*

OG: "Well, you did pull out a win, and you provided us with a great match to start the year wi...

Holly: "GEESE...Look at me"

*Holly goes right up to OG*

Holly: "Have I been SO terrible to you these last two months that you had to publicly embarrass me by taking away my power on LIVE TV? And did you have to appoint someone in charge who CLEARLY has it in for me?"

OG: "My answer is twofold. First of all...do you want to prove that you are the best Joshi wrestler in the world?"

Holly: "I already have!!!!!"

OG: "No, you haven't. You've proven you are AMONG the best. But you are not the OG-Joshi Champion nor have you beaten everyone the Joshi world has to offer."

Holly: "That's not the poin..."

OG: "Yes it IS the point. For you to be the best, you have to beat EVERYONE. Not JUST Jo Ryder. Your victory against her was truly groundbreaking but it is the START of your victory campaign, not the end."

Holly: "I know tha...

OG: "You ALSO have to beat Dizzy, which you have not done yet. You have to beat Haley Cannon for the OG-Joshi Title. You have to beat Polly Dod for the PW-W Joshi Title. You have to defend your McPro Globally Honored Pants...I suppose. And you have to beat everyone that is considered a threat to your superiority. THAT is how you prove you are the best...that is how you BE the best"

Holly: "I've been out there for the past month challenging everyone! I wanted Haley Cannon! But you gave some random Russian girl a Title shot!"

OG: "Ms. Belikov earned that shot...

Holly: "SO HAVE I!"

OG: "No you have not...not in the way she has. She wrestled Haley and took her to the limit."

*Holly's face again potrays a mixture of anger and confusion*

Holly: "Then GIVE ME A MATCH WITH HALEY!"

OG: "THIS is what I am talking about. You have just demonstrated why I had to do what I did tonight. For as long as you continue to have any power or influence in OG-Joshi in hand-picking your matches, people will continue to doubt your legitimacy of EARNING your main events through your in ring performances against others. It is not enough to face Haley Cannon...you must get to her by beating those also directly in contention."

*Holly is about to say something but then reconsiders*

OG: "You see now? Yes, you were the winner of the special attraction match at Venemous Ties and have evented two OG-Joshi PPV's. But when you main evented last summer, there were barely any Joshi wrestlers here. OG-Joshi is now its own promotion with a LARGE roster. And anyone that wants to get a title shot has to do so, by herself, IN THE RING. She can not use her influence to get the matches she wants. She has to EARN them."

Holly: "I have earned everything I have gotten here."

OG: "Yes you have. But now is the crucial point in your career because NOW is the time you must prove that you can CONTINUE to do so in the midst of all of this great competition. Now that there is a whole roster of hungry wrestlers trying to rise to the top and contend for that OG-Joshi World Championship, NOW is the time you have to prove that your success comes SOLELY from your superiority IN the ring and not by your influence outside of it."

Holly: "I've done that by beating Jo Ryder, I've done that by getting myself a PW-W Joshi Title shot."

OG: "I agree...and you must CONTINUE to prove yourself in the ring."

Holly: "I could have done that without you doing all this tonight..."

OG: "No...what I am doing to you now, I am doing FOR you and for everyone else. By taking away your power here, I will be removing all doubt that your success is ANYTHING but your own doing."

*Holly fidgets a bit, and begins staring down at the ground..she thinks for a few seconds, then slowly tilts her head back up and makes eye contact with OG.*

Holly: "I..guess...

OG: "Do you see what I'm getting at, now?"

Holly: "Ok...I won't say I'm not still angry about this, but..."

OG: "Since you aren't breathing fire anymore, I'm clearly getting through to you. Despite any tension we've had in the last month, I still want the best for your career. I trained you and I want to see you rise to the top. I want to see you represent Orochi-O's and win the OG-Joshi and PW-W Joshi Title. I want to see my first wrestling student have the most impressive career of any Joshi wrestler."

Holly: "I will!"

OG: "Now in this case, the best thing for your career is also the best thing for OG-Joshi. Because with you being the master of your own destiny, inside the ring, and not out of it, this also allows everyone else to do the same without worrying about you unfairly blocking their path."

Holly: "I don't care about THAT or care about THEM!"

OG: "I know...which is yet another reason why I am doing this. But as I said, I want you to rise above on your OWN power, like I did in PW-W. I want your rise to the top to be complete...I want every detractor of yours to look at you and be completely unable to doubt that you got to the top by any reason OTHER then your in ring abilities."


Holly: "Fine...but what about Celes. She is out to get me!!"

OG: "Celes is going to be tough on you, as she will be on anyone that jeopardizes the overall success of OG-Joshi. I have great confidence in her that she will keep everyone motivated to do their best in OG-Joshi and not get distracted by personal matters. As such, your antics in LAWL deserved to be punished. But Celes assured me that punishment for that was limited by tonight's actions."

Holly: "But she made me wrestle that...."

OG: "If you were to look more closely at the Voltage schedule, you will see that Dizzy is also scheduled to wrestle Miss..um, Sirloin."

OG: "Now...if we are done discussing this, let me give you a few words of wisdom about your match tonight."

Holly: "What is there to say? I won!"

OG: "But it took you too long."

Holly: "I was just playing with her to see what.."

*OG raises his voice*

OG: "NO! You will NOT be doing that anymore. You can not afford to if you want to prove you are the best. Do you know how many driven wrestlers there are here that would LOVE to score a victory off someone established like you!?"

Holly: "Please Geese...spare me the lecture. You saw what I did out there...and it apparently even went over YOUR head."

OG: "Choose your words carefully..."

Holly: "What I was doing in that ring was showing two things. My resiliency and my wrestling ability. I wanted to test Patty Sirloin. Just like I tested Akino Hirai in PW-W. I wanted to see what they could dish out and how much I could take, and then bounce right back."

OG: "And you did, but that is a dangerous strategy."

Holly: "I wanted to show Dizzy what it would take to beat me. Patty is a much bigger and stronger wrestler then Dizzy. If Patty was pounding on me for so long without being able to beat me, how could a hurt Dizzy do any better?"

OG: "Dizzy has more positives attributes then just her strength.."

Holly: "EXACTLY...her SPEED! And did you see what I did tonight? I took out Patty's leg. I used MY technical expertise..."

OG: "That you did..."

Holly: "Everyone doubts that too! Everyone thinks I'm just some brawler with some sexy moves! But I outwrestled Jo Ryder! And tonight, I showed that I am the best technical wrestler in OG-Joshi! I took Patty off her game by working on her leg and taking it out! Then i finished her off with the H-Lock 69!"

OG: "If that was indeed your plan, then it was a sound one."

Holly: "Exactly! Imagine when I do that to Dizzy who ALREADY has leg issues! She has NO chance against me!"

OG: "We will have to see if that is the case. For I have witnessed a major change in her recently. She is not the same wrestler as she was last year, she seems much more intense."

Holly: "Like you said before, Geese. If I have to PROVE I'm the best, then I have to beat Dizzy. I don't care where her MIND or SPIRIT is at because her BODY can not live up to it against me."

*OG suddenly smirks*

Holly: "What...what Geese? What's so funny?"

OG: "What you just said...her body not being able to live up to her spirit...it reminds me of someone else..."

Holly: "Oh...you mean...

OG: "Consider THIS amusing piece of information. A hurt Dizzy looks to get revenge against you for hurting her leg, while her trainer, a hurt Twinky McLanahan, looks to get revenge against me for almost breaking his neck."

Holly: "Wow...that...that kinda is weird that it's happening at the same time!"

OG: "And just as I have confidence that I will finish the job, so do I that you will too."

Holly: "Thank you! I am glad that you FINALLY believe in me. I guess all it took was coming up with the same perspective as you have against your injured opponent!"

OG: "Yes. And I am also glad that you finally understand my reasons for doing what I have done tonight."

Holly: "I...I suppose I do...

OG: "Good...so can we both get back to working together productively like we have for the last two years?"

Holly: "Yes...I..I guess we can again."

*OG goes over to Holly, gives her a brief hug and pats her on the back*

OG: "Now...if you'll excuse me, I have some business here to take care of. If you would like to join me, Figaro, and Clyde tomorrow in the Orochi-O's gym for a training session, you are welcome to."

Holly: "Yeah...it's been a while since we've all trained together. I'll see you there."

*Holly nods to Geese and exits the room*
