Alicia: Rain, Rain, Go away!

[OrochiGeese]

*It's Monday night at 9:30pm, two weeks after Venemous Ties, as Alicia Gordon rests in her NYC apartment. She is sitting on a backwards faced chair, and looking outside the window, watching the rain.*

Alicia: "I really didn't know it rained so much in NY...it seems like its been raining ever since Venemous Ties."

*Alicia shrugs a bit and continues watching when all of a sudden, the phone rings*

Alicia: "Hello?"

"Voiceonotherend": "Alicia!! Finally!"

Alicia: "Hi Marie, how are you?"

Marie Reyes: "That's what i was calling to ask YOU!! You haven't returned any of my calls! I've been trying to get a hold of you since Venemous Ties."

Alicia: "I know...i've been kinda mopey lately."

Marie: "Listen Alicia..."

Alicia: "No, it's ok, Marie, I'm feeling better. The loss was tough but it had to be that way. Kaori NiGHT...well, she's just more experienced then I am now. But I came to OG-FPD to face people exactly like that and I knew I wouldn't beat them right away. I'm just not used to losing...that's all."

Marie: "You were on such a hot winning streak in LAWL..."

Alicia: "But don't you see...THAT's why I had to leave, it was no longer a challenge for me. For us. We were undefeated as a tag team, no one came close. And there were only so many singles matches you and I could have."

Marie: "Tell that to the fans!" *laughs a bit*

*Alicia also giggles a bit, recalling the great reaction to all their matches*

Alicia: "Remember what I always said about Tae Kwon Do? About how one of the reasons I loved it so much, was because it was so much of a challenge to learn and master?"

Marie: "I do recall you saying that...like 100 times!"

Alicia: "Well, the same goes for wrestling. And just like I had to "learn the ropes" in LAWL..."

Marie: "Do those cliches work better in NY then they did in LA?"

*Alicia makes a noise as if she was sticking out her tongue and giving a "raspberry"*

Alicia: "As I was saying, Ms. Reyes...just like I had to "master" LAWL...I now have to learn to do the same in OG-FPD. That's why I came here. And if Kaori was a push-over, I wouldn't have gotten any satisfaction."

Marie: "Well, it doesn't seem like you've been too "satisfied" for the last two weeks as it is."

Alicia: "Even though losing can be helpful in the longrun, it's never something to laugh about right away. Plus Kaori kinda messed up my leg a bit..."

Marie: "Yeah, I saw that, those vicious kicks to your leg as you were upside down, and then that painful submission..."

Alicia: "But even though Kaori beat me...I now have a new GOAL in OG-FPD Joshi. A standard. To beat Kaori NiGHT."

Marie: "I can't believe she didn't let you in her silly little "KNIT". Girl, she's afraid of giving you a rematch!"

Alicia: "Well, i don't know..."

Marie: "I do, Alicia. You gotta get up in her face and get her attention again. If not now, then immediately after the tournament!"

Alicia: "All I know is that I'm rehabbing my leg, that's why I haven't asked for any matches recently.."

Marie: "Say...want to come back to LA for a few weeks to get some training and practice in...maybe even a live show? The "LAWLees" would love to see you! So would I."

Alicia: "I'd love to but I really have to stay here in NYC. I'm on a pretty strict rehab schedule. Plus, OrochiGeese seems like the kind of guy who could book me in a match at a moment's notice, despite my injury. Can't really predict WHAT he's gonna do."

Marie: "Yeah...that whole "chaos" thing...that guy's been hitting us all over the head with it for months now!"

*Both of them laugh*

Alicia: "Listen, Marie, I'm really glad you called. Thanks for checking on me, I am doing better though. Really, my biggest problem is..."

Marie: "Your biggest problem is that you aren't using your lucha to the fullest extent! Don't you remember all that Gloria taught you?"

Alicia: "Of course I do, but you know how I am...I'm not JUST a lucha wrestler...I also love my Tae Kwon Do."

Marie: "I love TKD too Alicia, and that's why I go to class twice a week. But when it comes to the ring, that's when I do my lucha, and only that."

Alicia: "And that's YOUR thing. But both techniques are my thing. I just gotta find that balance again, that's all."

Marie: "But how long will that take? What if the fans get tired of you still trying to find the balance, as other girls surpass you? Girls who aren't as conflicted?"

Alicia: "I won't let that happen. And by the time I do find that balance, well, then I'll be unstoppable. But just like Tae Kwon Do, the reward isn't only in arriving there, but getting there as well."

Marie: "You been up late a lot watching kung-fu movies?"

Alicia: "I fail to see how that's relevant!"

Marie: "Yeah, yeah, I know you all too well, hon."

Alicia: "So how are you doing? I've seen your recent "OMG" Title defenses! They were great, I think you are becoming as good as Gloria!"

Marie: "Don't let her hear that, heehee."

Alicia: "Don't you mean, "LOL"

Marie: "Huh?"

*Alicia giggles* Alicia: "Uhh, never mind. Listen, I gotta get going, I have early training tomorrow. I'll talk to you soon Marie, ok?"

Marie: "You better, chica. Otherwise I'll fly all the way to NY and take you back to LA!"

Alicia: "Will I get a free plane ticket that way?"

Marie: "We'll see, girl, we'll see. Bye Alicia."


*Alicia hangs up the phone and walks away from the window, with a satisfied smile on her face. She goes to turn on the tv, sees about 5 seconds of WWE Raw, then clenches her stomach. She quickly turns off the tv and goes back to watching the rain...as it is a far more entertaining alternative.*
