As far as I'm aware, the talent-sharing agreement between OG-Joshi and SWA was never rescinded. I can look through the roster for some candidates tonight. Awesome!! I would love to get some wrestlers from SWA! 😄 If you send me a list, I can take a look and let you know. And of course, that agreement goes both ways so once OG-Joshi gets going, I can send some to SWA too. I also wanted to give an update on the upcoming ASFS event. It got delayed due to a recent multi-front war I'm fighting. I almost lost Fire Pro usage last week due to having too many subscriptions (8200+). MJC: "GADZOOKS! 😲" The major issue was that the game kept crashing in the exact mode where I delete/unsubscribe the moves and parts. But with great patience and luck, I was able to reduce the subscription load to make things operational again. I also have had a lot of RL stuff obliterating my sleep and creative energy. I still have designs to complete the show within the next two weeks though. Fortuitously, the name of the tour makes more sense now. The "After School Fun Special" works better in September than it did in June! 😄

I didn't disappear again 🙋♂️
Fire Pro kinda did though. For the past 2 weeks, it's been crashing every time I've tried to do anything with it. That has made getting video clips for the show considerably difficult. However, I scored a big RNG victory today when it randomly endured long enough for me to capture video clips from two whole matches!
So the good news is I have all the clips I need to make animated GIFS for the show. I just need to finish doing that tonight and then write the match summaries. Barring an alien invasion (👽 "hi", MJC: "Wow, hi!" ) or other appropriately 2022 "on-brand" calamity, I should have the show finished and posted by next weekend.
*I want to chalk this crashing problem up to having too many subscriptions/in-game moves but the game actually started crashing even more after I spent considerable time deleting moves. So I got nothing 🤷♂️

I thought it was time to make some minor changes with the forum 💻
I created a new board for EMERGE events and turned the old "Creation Files" board into a sub-board for the "Joshi biographies" board. That board had more relevance in the FPD and FPR era.
I've also updated the OG-Joshi roster thread for 2023 with a lot more wrestlers intended for the midcard. I put them in the Amplitude division for now but will be using some of them on Voltage shows.
After the "After School Fun Special" tour ends at the 12/13 show, the next tour will be dedicated to crowning a new OG-Joshi World Champion. After that tour, I'll focus on crowning a new Amplitude Champion. During both tours, EMERGE events will continue to run and the OG-Joshi World Tag Team Championship will be defended.

I would like to revisit the idea of doing write-ups.
My first instinct was to offer to use the Angry Wrasslin' Nerd character I originally developed for SWA, which would be cool and help me round out the character, but I'm intimidated by the idea of writing for the Nerd in an environment where I don't have encyclopedic knowledge of the promotion, or the ability to spontaneously generate facts about the promotion as I go.
Something I could do is generate brief overviews "in-character" as a fan watching the shows (another tack I've taken with my own promotion at times). Alternately, I could create a few different fan personas to do write-ups through. These would be fairly simple summaries of match cards with some fan opinions on match quality and which wrestlers people like/want to take selfies with/want to <Censored for hornyposting>
Another thing I could do is OG-JoshiFan.Net threads, but I worry that joke is easy to wear thin with overuse, and they take a surprising amount of work to put together with all the character personalities and typing quirks they require juggling.
On yet the third hand, I could provide occasional match videos, but I think this is the least feasible for me due to having to make sure every edit plays nice and meeting my own unreasonably exacting standards for video matches.
I know that I would like to contribute in some small way, because I have derived so much enjoyment out of OGJ over the years. Unfortunately, I'm also aware that my attention and focus tends to go in streaks, and I'm worried about my own tendency (as shown in SWA) to overcommit to hobby projects and lose interest when I realize how much work I've made for myself. Especially with Elden Ring DLC coming some time in the near future, that's highly likely to completely destroy my focus on e-fedding for a bit when it comes out.
Lately I'm desperately bored a lot of the time at work, and have a lot of downtime where I can work on or think about this stuff (which helps to explain my general uptick in efed activity), but that could change in the coming months as well. Budget for the year just got approved and I may become much more busy.
I feel like I'm just kind of rambling here, so I'm gonna cut this post off. I just wanted to try to kickstart back into being the conversation about the rest of us contributing some show stuff so everything doesn't fall on OrochiGeese. This is where I stand: wanting to help but also concerned about my own acknowledged unreliability.

Thank you for that post, the offer and for the sentiment behind it!! 😄
It came at a good time too. I also feel like I overcommit and bite off more than I can chew. I want to keep the momentum going strong with enthusiasm for the feds and actual product. Last week was pretty light for me so I was able to do a LOT with the feds but this week got heavy and I am operating on zero energy right now. I'm hoping I have some energy over the weekend to resume finishing shows and writing promos and capping matches. I'm worried that this can happen any given week.
I'm trying to figure out a way to move forward. I don't have "OG-Joshi/UBL Golden Era" free time so I really can't expect to continue to run that style of show consistently. It's like, it either takes me weeks to put on one big show with commentary or I can cut down on things and keep momentum moving.
As it is, the next ASFS show is significantly shorter in commentary/hijinks than the first one was. And I'm going to make the matches shorter as well by sticking with a sumary format and just 2 AniGIF per match rather than like 4. I'm gonna cut down UBL shows too. I don't want to fall into a slump again because I try to do things the way I used to when reality is significantly different.
That all being said - I would absolutely appreciate any help - even occasional help.
Don't even put the pressure on yourself to have it be a regular thing. See how it feels and if you like it, you can continue it at your pace. There's zero pressure to follow-up.
I don't want you to feel burdened though but rather inspired.
I still maintain that my "DIY" model for FPCPP should have been better received than it was. But I also concede a ton of backstage politics got in the way of the plan being accepted genuinely. Those issues don't exist here. So let me kind of re-package the FPCPP idea I had.
If any of our regulars wants to do an OG-Joshi show, run it by me and you can do it in any style you want.
Capping or writing or writing with pics or any combination of those options.
You can do a show with wrestlers from different parts of the roster or you can do a show with one specific roster (like Amplitude). I want you to go where your interest is in on this but if you would actually like a few suggestions from me, I do have them.
As for lore - once we figure out the matches, I'm happy to give you lore/backstory for you to work in. Obviously, not in a painstaking "research" way but just hitting the broad strokes.
I think the slogan for my feds this year is - "keep it moving" as a response to the past few years. Hopefully I won't overcorrect, leading to a slogan next year - "Where's the beef?"
(In which case, maybe Patty Sirloin can come back 🍔 )
Thank you again!!!! 😄
MJC: "And no pressure!"

Oh also:
I really like that idea 💡
As I mentioned a week ago on C!C, your concept for the Angry Wrestling Nerd is really appealing. Even if you don't use the AWN character himself here, perhaps it would be cool to create one (or a few) for OG-Joshi.
There were a few LAWL shows where the fans actually sent in their impressions of the match. There would be a few fans who would be mainstays (the more serious ones) and a few that were guest "1 show only" types.
I hate writing matches without any character doing the commentary. Even just having John Randolph narrate the action feels better to me than presenting it from a totally neutral perspective. I did that on the first ASFS show and didn't like it - but I already had so much Jean and Haley dialogue that I didn't want to overdo it with them. I am thinking of an alternate idea for the next ASFS show for presenting the matches.
It could be cool to actually have multiple fan characters that circulate amongst the shows.
It's not all that different from having commentators and interviews.
After all, Jean and Robin are my two favorites out of all my characters. Robin was originally just Geese's interviewer in GWF/PW-W. And Moto created Jean as an interviewer for Visper. So we know how much these characters can entertain and even evolve at times.
