Fade into Jo Ryder's locker room. Grimacing, she begins taking off her arm bands and slowly rubbing the feeling back into her arms, when the door is thrown open. Visper Karr enters the dressing room, stands in front of Jo Ryder, arms across her chest. After a moment, Jo looks up, wearily.
[Jo:] Yes?
[Visper:] What the hell was that?
[Jo:] What was what?
[Visper:] What was with you trying to completely show me up during that match?
[Jo:] I did no such thing!
[Visper:] Bull crap. What about when I went for that springboard elbow, and you rolled Russian chick out of the way after I'd already lept into the air?
[Jo:] I... didn't see you going for it?
[Visper:] I ran right past you!
[Jo:] Oh.
[Visper:] And you completely refusing to tag out during the last ten minutes of the match, despite the fact that your arms were basically dead! You should've tagged out to me! We could've beaten them!
Jo looks down and goes back to taking off her arm bands.
[Jo:] They're in a completely different league than you, Visper. You were already having a tough time keeping up with them when I was fresh. If I'd have tagged out, they'd have completely whomped you.
[Visper:] Tell me you didn't just say that.
[Jo:] It's tru--
[Visper:] Tell me... you did not just say that!
[Jo:] I don't have to defend my actions to yo--
[Visper:] If you think I'm out of their "league", why'd you pick me? Are you tryin' to send me a message, Joann? Tryin' to tell me that you're better than I am?
[Jo:] That's not it at all. I--
[Visper:] You knew damn well that Haley Cannon wasn't going to pick a partner like Sandy Morton. You knew she was going to pick someone in her "league", as you like to say.
[Jo:] I know...
[Visper:] Then why did you pick someone not in that "league", Ryder?
Jo looks up, laying aside her armbands, as Visper puts her hands on her hips.
[Jo:] Honest answer?
[Visper:] Yes, "honest answer". Duh?
Jo looks back down, off to the side, avoiding Visper's stare.
[Jo:] ... I feel bad. Not many people know this, but two years ago, I had a choice of women to sign to Team Ryder. It was you or Dizzy, and I chose Dizzy, and she went on to become the heroine of OG-Joshi! You deserve that same chance, though, and I wanted this tag tourna--
[Visper:] I was your second choice because Dizzy already had a team, huh?
Jo stares back up, a saddend and somewhat surprised look on her face.
[Jo:] Well, n-no, but-
[Visper:] Oh, so, that's the case, huh? I'm your "second choice" and that's supposed to make me feel better? I will not be a party to your little "Look at me!" glory hounding, Joann Ryder. I do not @#%$ need it!
Jo looks back away.
[Jo:] Then, I'm sorry to have wasted your time with my pride.
[Visper:] ...You can't just leave it at that?!
[Jo:] Can't I, though? Belikov and Cannon, the two women who challenge me the most at my own style - both in the same ring at the same time! You're still young in pro wrestling so you wouldn't get that... that rush and exhiliration from being challenged at what you're best at.
[Visper:] Mmhmm, yeah, uh, you're rambling and full of BS again. If you weren't going to take that match seriously - because, believe me, Ryder, it was serious - then don't drag me down to your self-righteous, over-blown trips towards being considered "important"!
Visper turns toward the door, but stops and looks back. Her face is emotionless, as is her voice, and she doesn't look toward Jo as she speaks.
[Visper:] If you really care about anybody or anything in pro wrestling, Joann Ryder - walk away. Walk away, and leave it to the people who want to win.
Visper turns back to the door, throwing it open and storming out of the room, making sure to slam the door behind her as Jo flinches, looking down away from the noise - scene to black.
[Jo:] Yes?
