Bio
Her mother a hippy and her father also a hippy - but really a former company executive on the run from the IRS for tax evasion - Visper (who's name is a "representation of the forces that make life; Vapor, representing water and fire, Whisper as air") didn't exactly live a typical childhood. Put in the care of her aunt after her father was taken into custody by "The Man", Visper tried to have a normal childhood, and did an okay job at it, even though she thought that a journalism degree would somehow give her a fun and exciting life.
Kids.
Anyway, she managed to find her way without a job outside some freelance work for magazines, and while in Philadelphia for an interview with a local wuss-emo-punk trio, she saw an ad for an announcer. Going to the audition - she was one of five people that showed up - she was given the job.
Sure, she was dismayed when she found out it was for a wrestling promotion, but she needed a job and they paid in cash. What's not to love, her color commentator nonwithstanding?
She grew quite fond with the sport, and was talked into lessons with Jo Ryder and later Twinky McLanahan. Visper actually moved to Box Elder, South Dakota, to train at Twinky McLanahan's McLanahan Gym, and began participating in McLanahan Pro shows, becoming a rising star in the promotion, going on to defeat OG-Joshi headliner Holly for McPro's "Globally Honored Pants" (the promotion's "Women's Championship").
Recently, at the (supposedly) final McLanahan Pro event, Holly defeated Visper to regain the Globally Honored Pants, unifying them with the OG-Joshi World Championship. Not entirely pleased at that development, Visper has started planning her revenge, preparing to make a big bid for the OG-Joshi World Championship.
Despite a couple of set-backs, Visper stayed the course, and she became involved in a challenge series of matches against fellow fighter Haley Cannon. Visper learned much during her fight against Haley, including how to modify her style and even her attire against particular opponents. Visper triumphed over Cannon, though barely, and was given the opportunity to face Holly for the OG-Joshi World Championship, besting Holly at Renaissance for the coveted crown.
Fight Style
Visper, while under the care of her aunt, was forced to take classes in martial arts. After getting bored with karate and akido, she took up Jeet Kun Do - the style invented and introduced by Bruce Lee - after becoming enchanted with the free-form methodology of the style. The Way of the Intercepting Fist was liberating to Visper, and certainly helped her get through some bad nights in New York City. A girl's gotta be able to take care of herself, right?
Taking her knowledge of jeet kun do with her as she began training with Jo Ryder, Visper began to develop not just a strike-based offense but a pure technical style as well. Her time with McLanahan and "TOKYO Juli" Tanaka in McPro brought out the faster pace. Although still weary to do a lot of top-rope or diving moves, she has worked some lighter, springboard moves into her arsenal. If this will help her overcome her phobia of the top turnbuckle will have to be seen.
"Kick-You-In-The-Face Fu" is a light hybrid style, therefore. Visper uses kicks to round out her technical offense, and doesn't rely too much on submissions at the time being, wanting to keep her focus and not branch out so much that her in-ring skills suffer. Visper uses flash pins to catch her opponent off guard, and then uses kicks and slaps to keep them there. Her kicks could, quite possibly, be the hardest in the business, and have left their fair share of welts and bruises. Because of that, she always begins to giggle when she sees "kick duels" between two wrestlers that have no right kicking each other.
Titles Held
OG-Joshi World Championship [Current Champion]
McLanahan Pro Globally Honored Pants
Quotes
"I get my kicks... IN YOUR FACE!"
"Will you shutthefuckup?!?"
"Your crane style is no match for my Kick-You-In-The-Face Fu!"
